I am here. I had a rough time but have been collecting your videos this year for when I can watch. I became quite busy trying to set up my fresh start at age 48 in life. I found a job on top of my ebay store I have with my son. And been learning that I am capable of working after being a stay at home mom for 20 years. Still learning how to stand on my own feet but still passionate about having my life and home manageable. Not up to the standards I want, but I am moving forward. Thank you. Even though I couldn't watch these newer videos at the time they came out, I am going to participate and help myself moving forward. I am here for simplifying, decluttering, and hygge.

I am a minimalist and know your channel for a looong time. Last years I got sidetracked, when my husband and I as two young adults were mainly focused on our careers. Few months ago, we found out we are expecting our first baby 💛 and I nearly panicked, when realized how much our home needs to change and prepare for the family. But I knew I could rely on you, Diane - pregnant I started with the Flylady system and your videos again. Now in the third trimester, I get more and more tired every day, but I can confess with calm, that our home is mostly decluttered, clean and we have enough free space for the baby. Hi Diane! I just recently started to follow you after I saw you on DYT Spring Style School. I've been binge watching your videos the last two weeks or so! Watching your videos has actually been comforting and healing for me, as I am facing a significant health issue. I'm a semi-empty nester and I'm semi -retired (my hubby is already retired) so my lifestyle and my family 's lifestyles have changed. What I love most from your videos (really I love everything!) is your explanations about why decluttering and routine is good for us. With my family's changing lifestyles as well as my own, I have lost my sense of routine. My house has been cluttered and disorganized. It's hard for me to move forward and plan for what I want my second part of life to be when my house is cluttered and I don't have a sense of routine. Watching your videos brings me a sense of calm. Watching you declutter and clean motivates me, and I after watching you I feel like "I got this!" I have already cleaned out my family's huge storage closet, bathroom cupboard, and now I am starting to go though my wardrobe thinking about how I want to simplify so I can enjoy my life more fully. Thank you for being such a great coach and cheerleader! P.S. I love your Friday chats and learning about you and Denmark!

Had a break from UA-cam myself as part of decluttering. Despite being several months in now, it’s also chilly in Melbourne and winter I use as a time to reset. Simplifying can’t be beat. Yay you!

Thank you Diane! I've watched you for years and I think this is the first time I've ever commented, thank you for asking for our comments. I'm loving your ideas for 2024! Last year I some how slipped away from the Fly Lady system and watching your video's, which in hindsight I see made for a crappy year. Today is a new day, a new year, I'm going to watch your video's and take a moment to make comments. It's January 8th and today I'm going to pack up my Christmas decor and write my thank you notes as well as sending out a family newsletter with photo's of our first grandchildren as some of our family and close friends have not yet met them. I now wish I had done all this at least a week ago... I have to start with where I am. Dressed to shoes hair and makeup done, Laundry done folded and put away. I am also simplifying subscriptions, etc. I will be with you this coming year! Thank you too, for all you do! I'm relieved you are still here to help us all, I need you. Thanks!

i have never done tic tok or instagram. i do face book, most of that are family because they dont call or write. and only have a few groups, one post what they eat for dinner for the day, other does a little of everything, not mandatory to respond to it. and i always say i am living with intent. removes the confusion. After a couple of years of toying with decluttering I really need to knuckle down to it this year to live a simplified life instead of my stuff controlling me. Hi from the states. Iowa 🌽 😁 my mom is 100% Dane (her grandparents on both sides came over on the ship from Denmark 🇩🇰 she’s a part of the Danish brother and sisterhoods here 😊) and so I’m 50% Dane (and we’re proud!) and so I’m loving the Hygge/Denmark stuff but also the cleaning and decluttering etc! I, and fam of 4, live more simple. So important. Clean, simple, cozy. And that’s why I love Hygge because it’s about enjoying the simple things like candles lit 🕯️ or sitting by a fire 🔥 (we live in the country and love camp fires, esp in the winter! ❄️) or drinking some hot tea or coffee ☕️ 🫖 🍵 all snuggled in a blanket with warm socks 🧦 ahhhh ❤ love it! I even added a wall decal onto our window above our door that says ‘Hygge- Danish, and how to pronounce it 😊)

Simplifying sounds great! I'm moving into 2024 feeling quite lost, but focusing on simplifying feels like a good place to start. I lost my mum early january '23, and my FIL in september, so 2023 was a rough year for me and my family. I was happy that it' over, but couldn't really feel excited for the coming year. But simplifying is a good place to start, it has a tendency to open up for unexpected things. Thank you for continuing to cheer us on, Diane! I hope 2024 will be a fabulous year for you! 🎉

My husband and I lived in East Africa many years ago. We had lovely Norwegian and Danish friends there. On the way back to the United States., we visited them. The way homes were set up left an indelible mark on my mind and soul. It is something I still strive for. Such peacefulness in the form or homemaking. I absolutely loved finding you to reintroduce some of that back into my life!❤

I simplified my colors a few years ago. Makes purchasing clothes much easier and most go with each other easily as well.
