A heart rate in adults that is greater than 100 beats per minute is technically defined as Tachycardia. Many things can cause tachycardia like fever, shock, medications, stress, metabolic dysfunction, or damage to the heart muscle and hypoxemia to name a few. Perfusion problems may develop when the heart beats too fast and the ventricles are not able to fully fill with blood. This can cause a decrease in cardiac output, poor perfusion and hemodynamic instability. It’s important to quickly assess the patient's signs and symptoms and see if they are a result of the tachycardia, find the underlying causes and treat them.

I actually have this as a heart condition, the highest my heart has been was about 255,this was my worst attack, my heart's usually around 120 or a bit higher.
Fucking hell that's a crazy high normal rate, I was admitted to the emergency department a couple weeks ago and pumped with drugs because I had an episode where I couldn't get it below 120.
Dang I only hit 215 after intense exercises. I guess if we have it we should have a competition for who had the highest bpm
Mine just got up to 247 at the hospital. Had to do double delta blockers.
I thought 164 was bad. How are you still alive brother
I drank red bull with an expreso coffee. I was panicking bad
Unfortunately they told me it's anxiety at the hospital but my cardiologist said its inappropriate sinus tachycardia..
Jesus how can you get two diff diagnoses. Btw I feel like this is me. I’m afraid this has to do with the vaccines? I don’t know how or why but yk idk tbh
@@B4NDllKOOT_are you fine now?
@@B4NDllKOOT_ hospital is wrong. If it’s the er, they like to say it’s either mental health or that it’s a female problem. Sometimes doctors don’t listen to the patients.
mine goes past 200 at the worst. Wjat baffled my school clinic was that my heart rate went up like that but my oxygen was all fine. What scares ne is how it stops. It's incredibly painfulm
I was sitting down, and felt my heart going so fast it felt like it was going to come out my chest. I put on a pulse oximeter and it was 237.... so now I’m checking what it could be
How are you doing now? I hope all is well 🙏🏽
I had this about four days ago and it got really bad but then I got out of it I feel a lot better and the only thing is now is that I have a short of breath does anyone know how long this last ?
I came to the right place because this happened to me out of the blues yesterday, I have no sickness or anything I felt like I was gonna die 🥺😭 my heart just started racing very very fast! I had to rush to the hospital!
I HOPE EVERYONE ON HERE IS BETTER NOW AND THIS WONT HAPPEN TO US EVER AGAIN!
I’m still waiting on my blood test and I have to do a heart ultrasound and god knows idk where I’m gonna get money to do all those things because it’s expensive here, but I will call on god! STAY BLESS EVERYONE ❤
Update? Are you okay?
So only a problem if at rest right? Imean its not hard to get over 100 walking down the road
I have this
118 I have and doctors don’t care
I was eating and then out of no where my heart was pumping blood so fast I got really scared
Mine did the same thing and I got scared
Yeah most that happens when you have a tachycardia is fear when you have the sharp stabing pains in ur left chest and arm is when you need to go to the hospital.
Had 153 yesterday I felt it
I think this is what i have!
i have tachycardia, i also have EDS. I have to get an echocardiogram every 5 years except next time they’re making me do a full body CT scan or something like that (it’s gonna be in 2026). and they’ve never said my heart is abnormal or nothing concerning has ever been conveyed to me about my heart, but it’s always high and annoying to explain to nurses when i go to the hospital or doctors lol. I might have to eventually go on heart meds to slow it bc i’m on ADHD meds which supposedly is supposed to speed it up but honestly i think they’ve slowed it, but i do definitely still get moments where my heart goes up to like 200bpm for no reason lmao
Mine is 40 over 100 bpm
Is tachycardia over 100bpm of resting heart rate or at anytime, such as walking around or standing?
Resting
is tachycardia bad no matter the cause? i've been using adderall (recommended dose, not abusing) but I've developed tachycardia and occasionally when it's quite elevated I can find breathing a bit more difficult. Does the mean I should or need to quit the medication? i greatly benefit from the medication; however, my health is more important.
im no doctor but i think you should talk to your doctor about getting different meds that dont raise ur heartrate either at all or as much
@@haroldflower8008 yeah i stopped taking it now. trying to get by with natural approaches. my heart was only getting worse where some days i was hitting up to 130. now i've dropped down to 80. still looking for a decent replacement tho, nothing seems remotely on par. but obviously adderall isn't worth it if it's just gonna shorten my life...
I'm assuming it is for ADHD? I've been doing a lot of research on these kinds of things because I have recently been diagnosed with ADHD and my psychologist told me and my family to consider ADHD medication for me. There are so many more stimulant and non-stimulant options. I don't know if it is true or not but I heard with Adderall it can damage your heart. Again it may be true and may not. A lot of people have similar problems with it. It is probably smart to talk to your doctor or a psychiatrist about it.
What about if you had an open heart surgery?
Scary and risky
*The most aggrivating thing about tachycardia is that I STILL don't know how to explain what it feels like when I have an episode. My family has been worried about my condition, and my friends. I take 50mg of Atenolol every morning and I'm basically cured, but episodes happen. It KILLS me that I can't tell my Mom and Dad what I feel when it happens.*
This. This right here. It’s important to know tho and I feel like if I tell my parents they won’t take affirmative action to help me out with finding a diagnose
Feel your pain brother..
I try to explain it as a weird adrenaline rush with pain.
I have tachycardia attacks but only while sleeping and only during a specific sleep stage.
Doctors haven’t been able to help. Does anyone have an idea what this might be caused by?
I’m having very similar issues, i’m having them at night or when i’m driving in a car. I’m having these weird kind of headaches that are really hard to explain. I hit 130 just an hour before writing this comment, completely out of the blue.
Woke up at 4.00 am with 160 bpm. Went to emergency... they fix it. No idea why this starts at night.
Would their be any after effects to this,as I had it this weekend for the first time Nd I have a little bit of a shortness of breath sometimes and my head/mind has been feeling foggy for the past days. Like I know what I’m doin, but it feels different, and Idk what to do I’ve already made an appointment to have my doctor check it out
Probably anxiety
@@alexipatov5539 yes that’s what I’m thinking today I started to cry for no reason
@@jrzr1river489 Yeah, don't worrry i already have it 8 months and still didn't die
@@alexipatov5539 okay because I think I’ve had anxiety but never got diagnosed,I thought it would just go away ,until I had tachycardia this past weekend for the first time,
@@jrzr1river489 Yes, don't think about it man, if u feel it non stop then i should go to the cardiologist
I was told when I had this, it was a very bad anxiety.
I had 160 heart rate 170 blood pressure nauseous and I ended up getting sent home with no tests just because chest X-ray was fine it’s fkd
Can panic attack and anxiety disorder cause tachycardia? I’m just curious
Yes
Yes. I was diagnosed with with sinus tachycardia and any form of stress or anxiety will trigger it. I am now on beta blockers it's helps a little but you have too keep the stress level to a minimum.
@@therealdarknal
How long do your episodes last?
Mine is 180 age 17
are you fine now
Long covid causes this. I believe it’s heart inflammation as a result and takes a month or so to subside. During this avoid very strenuous exercise and get blood checked for Tonin in the blood as for this in your blood test. Also the supplement NAC is supposed to help as well as Bromoline (pineapple).
Mine is 102 at rest
Stable tak
Update?

@@mentos93update guys ?
mine is 120 bpm is there any danger
@@claimingberet35yt61 120 bpm aint dangerous i think
Okay so along as it's not over 140 while sitting your okay even if it goes in the 200 your still be fine when you have the chest pains that's when you should worry. However I was diagnosed with sinus tachycardia and I'm on beta blockers. I still have them from time to time but the most that ever happens is unbelievable fear.... I stopped showing up too the ER every time I had one because there basically nothing they can do other then refer you too your PCD aka primary care doctor too set you up an appointment with a cardiologist. Just take your time lay down and read or somethings when it happens. Yoga and breathing exercises do help as well. If 30mins have passed and it's still in the 140s or higher you need to go to the er. If it's been 30mins and it's like 120 your okay your heart is adjusting. I hope this helps iv lived with this for past 34years and it's basically a battle.
Mine at rest is 130 im not overweight and 18
Did you get vaccinated?
Update?
Yeah I searched this up cause I have tachycardia lol
Lol nothin‼️
