I was an iPhone user for years. I switched to the s24, and man, oh man. Samsung is killing the game. I actually have freedom with my samsung, and i love the way it runs and handles day to day task. It's a beast. I can't wait for my ultra watch to come in!
Congrats on breaking the chains 🫡 switched to the z fold 2 from the iPhone 11 years back, and i haven't looked back. I am currently enjoying my ZF6. Also, you should look into Samsung Dex. I think you will love that feature.

Galaxy fold 6 is an absolute beauty, feels premium in the hand, you do not notice the crease in the middle, and is awarded 7 years of security updates.

Crease is better overall. But if you want a crease that's not noticeable, you gotta use the OnePlus Open. You can barely even feel the crease

I think the narrow front screen is a great. It does what it needs to for quick text or checking some apps but it makes you open up to the big screen, which is the point kinda like the flip. I do agree with a slot for the spen!
Facts! The screen size is nice. It makes u want to open the phone when chilling or on leisure time. When I tried the pixel fold I hardly opened it up because the front screen was wide. Samsung is doing it right.
I'm happy to see some people get it 😎 I've been a Fold user since the Fold2 and never really complained about it. I've had my Fold6 for a day or so and this feels so complete in my book.
Except when u keep making typos on the front screen cause its so narrow

Completely agree. But having held the ZF6 after rocking the 4 for 2 years .... I like what changes they did make. Thinner and lighter is much appreciated! But how much thicker would it really make the device to add the pen :( heck maybe they can also add a bigger battery while they're at it.

I totally get what he said about 'once a Note user, always a Note user'. To this day when it comes to utility features I see the Galaxy Note 4 as the most complete smartphone ever put on the consumer market. I can only imagine what an astounding device the Z Fold could be if Samsung added all the features the Note 4 had.
For me note 3 was the beast!! Remember the things it could do? Geez it was fire

5:20 100%, if they didn't up the price, and put the S24U cameras, S pen, and wider front display, it'd be the king. What they should do, is put all that on the "fold ultra" make the ultra the $1800 and bring the normal fold down to like $1500
I like the size of the front screen, does everything you need it to, it's a perfect size for most people... agree with needing a pen slot.

The ultra they are releasing won't have s pen support at all. The thickness of the phone mainly comes from the spen components taking up alot of room. Samsung also wont use the new Chinese battery technology yet because it has swelling and reliability issues. People don't understand the technology that goes into making something smaller. It's not just a minor change. China can pull it off because they can cut corners and basically have free labor. If china were to do everything by the book, their phones would be 3k or more. Also those phones won't last long especially after a few accidents or drops which the chinese companies don't care much about reliability, it's why samsung made a statement by offering 7 years of updates because they know the chinese brands hardware will not hold up as long in the reliability department.

The Samsung exclusive colors of the Z Fold 5 were better than the ones on the 6 this year imo. I got the Crafted black one and its nice but I like that two tone blue and black and the white and black from last year.
Get the spen in the body with compatibility on the cover display. I don't mind the thinner cover displays.

I am using the fold 6 now and honestly, this is the perfect size folded and unfolded for me and my small hands. I always wanted the ultra but i cannot even hold it right because of how wide and large it is. The fold fixed all of those issues for me, small and big enough front with great functionality and if i need more screen space, BOOM unfolds to a small tablet 🎉
Reports say that in October Samsung might release a Z Fold Ultra that's thinner AND has a front display the size of the S 24 Ultra! If that's true I really hope its released in the US.

CJ I like your new overview camera but chill with your movements bro and slow down with the transitions back and forth please. It might help to change the camera angle, the side look is weird.
If it folded wide like that it would be a lot less usable for productivity and multitasking. I think they can go a touch wider, but not so much that it isn't very easy to use two handed. The ergonomics for productivity is 🤌 chefs kiss.
The silver version is even better because the color silver doesn't absorb the heat like the dark colored phones that will absorb the heat other than the white one, I know they got a cooling chamber going on, but the one that won't heat up that you can play the longest is the silver one.

I really like the slimmer outer screen, easier to handle one handed and makes you want to open up to the inner screen, which is the reason some ppl buy it..
I like the front size for handling and one handed use. A few MM more would be nice but not too wide
Great review. I'm holding on to my Z FOLD 5. I don't plan to upgrade until there is an Ultra Fold edition with flagship cameras, bigger battery, and an S Pen compatible outer screen.

Messed with the in-store demo and really liked it. My biggest gripe was how the spen does not live with in the phone body and the sketch on image kept throwing errors (AI). It feels great in the hand though!
Everyone saying the cover screen is perfect size are just saying it cause they have the phone. Ive still got my 3. And the screen is terrible for typing and il probably make typos trying to type this comment... Let alone trying to browse tiktok or ig. Everything gets scaled small. Stop kidding yourself. When samsung eventually makes it wide like a normal phone and actually thin like the honor u guys will buy it and say the screen is better now . There is no point in a narrow screen in a thick device. That thickness effects your reach across the screen as well. Its a brick compared to 2024 folds
I hope they never go wider. Or if they do, at least give us both options. It is just right for the front pockets. And its perfectly balanced in the hand. The most comfortable one hand phone i have had in a while. Its a dream to use while not having to constantly use the opposite hand to reach the top of the phone because it is too big.
I agree. This needs to be standard design going forward. Doesn't really need to get too much thinner for s pen slot. Bigger better. And some better cameras, but A.I enhances the photos now with the ZF6 so idk.

I've been a Samsung user since the Samsung Epic and usually haven't skipped generations but after the Note20 Ultra i couldn't make the jump to the Fold cause the specs don't justify the price point and this Fold 6 just not it is really just 2 S23's together. Had the cameras already been upgraded to S22 Ultra standards with a bigger battery i would've pulled the trigger.
As a fold user since the 4, I really think the 6 is the perfect form factor. I dont want a wider cover display than this. I want a one handed phone and a tablet when I need it. Obviously a lot of people dont agree and point to the Mix Fold 4 or One Plus but honestly I dont want every foldable to become carbon copies of each other. Variety is good.
It's a nice phone but still have a crease. Don't like that crease, go One Plus.
Love you CJ!! So, I would like the stylus in the body of the phone, and a wider cover screen. However, I'm pretty happy with the Z Fold 6 after upgrading from the ZF4. Battery life is already proving to be a major improvement.

I have an S24 Ultra and I was considering the Fold 6. I know specs wise, the S24 Ultra is better in every way. I'm interested in having a foldable device. Should I switch or wait it out?
What separates each device is the audacity Samsung has to increase the price while offering very very little to no improvements between each phone. That's the difference.

Still unable to write on front/outter display with S PEN is my biggest con on new Z FOLD 6. Making and fast quick note to jotdown ideas without to open the flip sceen is a must, SAMSUNG
I'm a zfold 5 user and man o man can this thing handle alot it has some dents and scratched everywhere I dropped it a few times and it hasn't broke yet I had a iphone 14 pro max and I dropped it once and it shattered I love this new phone it's amazing
What you're describing is a Fold Ultra. But for people like me, keep the width, make it thinner and S Pen support on the cover display that's it. And just name it the standard Z Fold.
An Ultra Fold sounds cool but I'm looking for one hand functionality and portability.

Another GREAT video as usual. Thanks for keeping us informed. I don't ever see myself returning to Android after being with them for 20 years but they do put out very nice products. Me and my wife are on our 2nd iPhone and we like them a lot and are now in the eco system with the apple watch, macbook pro's and ipad...We now have the iphone 15 pro max's and we came from the 13 pro max. We finally gave in because the majority of our family members are on IOS so we tried it and we are pretty sure we are NEVER going back..

whatever you are wishing for is already on the market with xiaomi mix, oppo open n3/oneplus open and vivo xfold 3 pro...... notable machines are huawei and honor folds too minus the stylus but they already offer: 1) wider outer screen 2) flagship cameras 3) excellent build quality.

S series wont suffer as such. The majority of the buyers don't even use the pen. Are you buying the Ultra because of an S Pen? If there was an S24 Ultra version with a bigger battery over an S pen folks with flock to the big battery option.
Pen storage isn't making Ultra users stick to their device over the Fold, these devices are usually sub $2k devices ppl who are avid Ultra users don't want to spend that no matter what.
@@jmbaka007if you want to use the phone In its entirety, dollar for dollar...yes you WOULD use the pen...otherwise getting the 24+ would be the phone you'd get if you dontcare for the pen.
Once they include a S-Pen, I will give this some thought, until then, sticking with my S23 Ultra.

I think we need to appreciate the thiner outer display. I thought I wanted the wider until I had the pixel fold. I realized one hand use was way better on Samsung and it feels better in the hand and talking on the phone. So I prefer the narrow.

NGL the only compromise I'm not willing to make is the front screen. I had the fold 3 and 4 and I had to switch back to the S series.

Agreed, I was a bit disappointed that the 6 is actually narrower, and not as tall as my Fold 3.
I think the z fold 6 is the final form of the Z Fold and Z Flip series. They've been focusing on getting the phones to fold flat. Now that they've achieved this goal, they can focus on improving the tech. Making the phone thinner, etc. After the Fold series is perfected they'll probably move on to their rollable phone series. That will be interesting.
I ordered the silver one from Samsung. Don't like the look of the black crafted. Also the color ones loose always some of their color over time.
I decided to switch to the fold this year from the ultra for personal reasons and I would've had it Saturday but that update that shutdown the web it'll be delivered tomorrow, and I can't wait, I got the 512gb in navy

As long as it doesnt have the rubber gasket in the hinge that wears over time and causes the phone to never fully open 😡

i normaly like black, but its just something about the texture on the black that i don't like. id rather it be without the texture carbon fiber look.

I've had mine a week now and I have to say it is a better design I am coming from the 4th and I love the way this one feels as far as how it handles the screen is not as bad as people think it is just wide enough

3:25 Nah, you dont ONLY want that version, you want an Ultra VARIANT that is bigger. Don't make Samsung get rid of the BEST single handed display on the market. Needs an S Pen Silo inside the phone and S Pen support on the cover screen to be perfect tho. Maybe give the "best-of-the-best" cameras for the Ultra too, with the wider cover display.
Basically all they got to do is take an s24 and double the size of it and it wouldn't be that much thicker because they can spread out a bigger battery and leave a silo for the pain at the same time
Man comig from a Z Fold 3. A major upgrade. It's definitely worth it.

Im excited about this new fold but I think I'm going to hold out for the version that finally get the S Pen cavity in the body because I'm one of the few that find the pen useful
At 3 years I'm still using my fold 3, possibly looking at the fold 6 if not then the next one but one thing they need to do is include the damn s pen that's like buying a note and saying yeah see u can get a better experience but we think we need to profit off of u for that so please give us another $100 to complete ur device that and if they were to hollow out the hinge or redesign it that could be an area for the pen, out of 5 stars I knock off 2 for the exclusion of the s pen not because it's needed but for charging nearly 2K and being greedy about not including it
