Extremely well done video. IG teasers are fun but I very much prefer this kind of content. I especially like the level of detail and the detail about wood grain behavior and how to get best results knowing that behavior. Do you work with oak?
@ThornhillTimberFrames thanks for the tips! That board is thick enough you could use the cutoff curve for rockers... Can you please tell me where you got the large speed square? The only large ones I've come across so far are plastic... Also what is the second metal one you used to mark the tenons? I've never seen it before...it would certainly come in handy
I like the longer format - devil’s in the details!
Thank you!
That’s awesome! Love the attention to detail!
I am in awe at this man’s skill with the Skil saw.
A great start. Eager to see where you'll take it and where it will take you.
Thank you for a great video! The curve is strictly aesthetics, correct?
That is correct.

Do you work with oak?
Thanks for the kind words. We typically don’t work with oak. The majority is white pine and some Douglas Fir.
I totally agree!

Can you recommend a good set of chisels? Thinking of doing my first timber frame project this year
I’ve been really happy with my Robert Sorbey chisels
Where is everyone else or are you a one man band
I am the only employee of Thornhill Timber Frames. Luc is in the office often so I get to have the shop to myself!
@@ThornhillTimberFrames wow, how long do you usually spend on one project ?
