Hey guys, Itoen has sponsored the last few episodes, and their MAIN goal is to hit 500 subs on their UA-cam channel. Please sub to them if you can! Will be a big help for them as well as this channel. ua-cam.com/channels/Qm2dCwsQIFnuneh2X3uILA.html
This is so awesome 👍🏻, Max. Another great interview. Oh, the inshitsu bullying of Japan, it indeed is so inshitsu, sudden and unexpected and all because you are a nail that sticks out or of envy... Spot on on the advice to other mixed kids - accepting yourself and nurturing to look after yourself and feel comfortable to be who you are is sooo important. I also prefer to use mixed than hafu for the same exact reason plus others... Looking forward to the next interview!
I think 'double' is a better term since you have two cultures, that's more than most people have and it's more of a boon in life to have that added cultural awareness. It means more of a struggle earlier in life but ultimately people become more open to change and new places because of it
I think you're switching/cutting/moving the camera too much. Not sure if this has been your style for a long time, but its the first time I've noticed it
@@MaxDCapoi think the zoom in and outs are too fast, it almost get you dizzy. If you could do it more slowly or smoother, maybe it will improve the watching experience. Just my two cents. Other than that i enjoyed the conversation, great pod 👍
Why did she just say she was the first mixed ethnicity Miss Japan winner? Just the previous year before she won was Ariana Mamiko, who is mixed African-American and Japanese (winning in 2015). Ariana winning made much bigger headlines because it was the first time in history. Priyanka was the second. I don’t see how that fact could be missed being just one year earlier.
You got it wrong. Ariana Miyamoto was first mix race Miss Universe Japan. Priyanka Yoshikawa was first mix race Miss World Japan. Listen what she said once more. She is talking about Miss World not Miss Universe.
Interesting. In US, we almost never use the word foreigner because so many people with different background and circumstances live here. When someone is visiting, we refer them as a tourist.
I believe the US uses phrases like "immigrant" and "alien." It may not have occurred to you, but Americans living overseas are always referred to as expatriates, while foreigners living in the US are considered immigrants. The word Expatriates have a posh vibe while immigrants had a negative connotation.
@sujoydutta6260 immigrant label is based on intent. Most Americans don't apply for citizenship in the countries they stay in. 90% of Indians in the US apply for Greeen card therefore immigrant, because of immigrant intent
Good interview dude! Love how the editing has gotten so much better over the years! The audio is sooooo crisp too! Are you doing anything to the audio in post or is this all just the microfone??
Thank you! It’s taken too many years to be honest. Audio has some post work,l to eliminate noise, but mostly it’s the mic with some software (compression, limiters)
I love seeing dating differences between the west and east! I am from the US and we are definitely more direct when it comes to dating 😂 Even our reality tv shows, people hook up in the same episode! Which is not far from the reality lol
As much as I don’t watch reality shows, I’ll say that when I do catch one, I appreciate the drama in the USA ones. But Terrence house had a great run in how passive aggressive and slow everything was 😂
Awesome interview max!. I say all us mixed bags should just up and all band together and found our own country. Everyone mixed from around the world in 1 place. LOL
nowdays they have a lot of advantage. obviously beautiful than authentic japanese looks wise language wise even if they went through hard time. but i hope japan doesn't change. don't need to keep up with western.
I thought about watching the Japanese version after watching the US version. But I just felt like it would have been way to boring. Japanese don't have the spice like American Drama reality shows and they also aren't very romantic people either.
You are right 😂 but i watched it for her as i am Indian. At times i was getting stressed about their decisions. But still it was fun to watch something different. I wanted to see her more but they showed so less of her journey
Is this girl making fun of indian cultures or about herself 😅...madam alien 👽 we doubt your upbringings ...thats why dad shifted back to his originality 😂

she's so beautiful!
She's giving me very American vibes. If I only had audio to go on I would have no idea she was mixed Japanese.
I love that when she starts talking about Sumo, her face immediately lights up and her eyes sparkle. So cute.
She sold me on the sumo. Thanks for watching until the end!
She may have struggled as a teenager, but she is undoubtedly a different, more self-assured lady now. Her conversations reveal her self-confidence.
that sponsor segue was noicely done! enjoying the convo keep at it!
indian japanese is the best look i seen with indian
I loved watching Love is Blind Japan. I was gutted that her relationship didn't work out. Hopefully she enjoys life now❤
I am from India
I love her being interviewed.I never knew about her earlier. She is very smart and energetic.❤

True, it’s pretty annoying. That’s why I stopped watching about halfway through the video.
@@_nihongo_jouzu_ Noted. Thank you for the feedback will keep this mind in future edits. This one had more camera moving than previous ones.

She speaks bengali like Americans lol, so cute.
I honestly never realized the different clapping styles 😂
Me too. I clap the Japanese way though. Lol.
Awesome video Max! I’m a big fan of Priya.

Truly, an excellent interview. I liked her on the show, but am charmed even more after listening to this conversation.
This was really interesting to watch, you should bring her back on the show on day!
max is cooking 😚😉 good luck bro
She's very pretty and carries herself well

She kind of looks Hawaiian 😊
Also Philippino to me.
And 100% Indian to me😂 cuz there are many Indians who look like her..if nobody told me she was half Indian or mixed japanese, no one would hv known

Maybe those girls are not interested in beauty pageant. Also, as she mentioned, Miss World needs beauty + brain.
