Much respect to Kemio! Been watching your life journey before you even could speak English. Your life is very inspiring not only for hafus but anyone that feel outside.
I love Kemio!!! I've been watching him since from before he moved to the States and it's been so cool to see him grow and pursue his dreams. Loved listening to this 💚
I was born and raised in Tokyo and have been living in Australia for almost 20 years. I completely agree with Kemio’s explanation about the Japanese work style and the Japanese national characteristic of being unable to say no. There are many aspects of Japanese people that I find annoying. However, I am convinced that the seriousness of the Japanese, their strong sense of conformity, and their outward politeness are what have shaped the Japanese culture admired around the world today. If people, like in many other countries, prioritized themselves and their families over others, work, and the local community, I don't think Japan would have become the world’s only single-dynastic country with a history of 2,700 years. It was a very enjoyable discussion. Thank you.
Max, you consistently feature the most fascinating and delightful guests. Always a joy to watch, listen and learn from their varied experiences and the line of your questioning which allows them to shine. (And you shine as a result, as well.)
Niiice, another great interview 👍 I didn't know Kemio, but loved his perspectives and listening to his background and highs and lows of chasing his dreams.
Im an huuge fun of Kemio Thanks for interviewing him I feel like we can’t hear his thoughts and stories honestly in Japanese cuz he’s so sweet speaking in Japanese 😂
People pretend this is Normalっていうの、本当にそれだしめっちゃ恐ろしいことだと思う。
Hi Max and Kemio! This is the first time I've met Kemio and even though he is funny, I really liked his analysis of the differences between New Yorkers and Japanese! I haven't been to NY or Japan so to me it opened up a whole universe! Thanks so much, Max, for this very well handled interview, loved it! 🌿
I watched this channel fist time. I became a big fun of Kemio🥰 For working system in Japan was absolutely right. I agree with you. I have been thinking why It is difficult having work and life both good balance in Japan. 😢 I am thinking Why workers are low standing in Japan. And Eventhought We work hard and long time and most job with too much responsibility in Japan. Why workers can not get money a lot. Why workers can not have free time a lot. 😢 I am looking for good way. good balance for long time. Kemio, your English is eary to understand. I am English learner. I understood 80 % . I was so happy😊 Thanks!
33:03 and there's Aussie teens doing 70% of their works saying "im not getting payed enough to do this" 😂 Mind u we live in a country with one of the highest minimum wage
Hi @MaxDCapo, I am Iranian and I have a hunch about Kemio's father, that he is in fact just Iranian. In the 1980s, when Japan's economy was booming, a lot of mostly young men from Iran went to Japan to work, and some of them ended up marrying Japanese women (similar to the story of the father of a lady from a previous episode). The "half-Italian" part might just be a lie to stave off some pressure due to racial prejudice, as the Japanese are probably less racially hostile to a European person compared to a Middle Eastern person. I say that because being actually half-Iranian, half-Italian, and from Iran is pretty rare (probably less than 10 individuals fit this description), and very unlikely combined with his story. The lie makes sense in a cultural environment where his grandparents wouldn't even admit his father wasn't Japanese. He can verify this with a genetic ancestry test. Please pass this to him if you have contact with him and think this might help him have some more information about a father that he never knew.
Right I agree with him. It turns out that some japanese are into saying yes or Hai all the time but they want to say no, but they don't have a choice but it's already an お願い。 Plus the work culture, when he mentions that the American worker needs to go because her daughter has a soft ball game. Then japanese employee got shock right? Because "they are always isogashii sugi and they might get karoshii" they are too serious at work. But japanese has this Work and life must be separated, but it turns out in japan "Work life".
i told myself i thought i saw chemistry between those two but reminded myself max is straight but maybe he isnt... im gonna see if kaimo has any shirtless pics😋

Kenji is such a cool dude! Keep being you, keep being down to earth!
Haha who is Kenji? Kemio
Niiice, another great interview 👍 I didn't know Kemio, but loved his perspectives and listening to his background and highs and lows of chasing his dreams.

I love how different his cadence is in Japanese versus English, but it’s still the same Kemio 🫶🏼
I love Kemio❤
You inspired me a lot!!!
Hi Kemio, I want to watch more of your English UA-cam videos!🎉

Kemio is cute with a cute personality. i can see why he became so popular.
I love Kemio❤
He is so funny and smart!
I’ve seen Kemio literally everywhere 😂
No real,fiction,creepy OTAKU contents(culture?).lol

I'm Japanese. We love Kemio!! Japanese society is too traditional to change. But I believe some people like Kemio can change our society😊

What Kamio said shows how unhealthy Japanese entertainment companies are. TV companies are same.
First!!
You wine😂🎉
@@MaxDCapo I always wine 🍷
Lol
