- Stealth tent site (mi. 1610.9) to Bennington, VT (mi. 1618) I learned a new hiking term today …. “getting stuck in the vortex”. Our original plan was to hike 7 miles into Bennington for their trail fest then get back on the trail and do about 9 more. Well, the spread of food and amenities they had there was awesome, including showers at the Rec center next door, charging stations, etc. Solar suggested that we spend the night and take in a movie like “normal people” 😂 The town gave us a place to tent and are going to make us a big breakfast in the morning. We’ll be back on the trail by 10 am. At this point I’m still 17 days ahead of schedule so it made sense … he didn’t have to twist my arm very hard haha. Plus, I went to the local library and got caught up on all my video uploads because I know it will be tough from here to Maine. I’ll let you know how Deadpool & Wolverine is 👍🏻
Todays menu: A Cliff bar, Cliff energy bloks, 2 hamburgers, 3 cans of Coke, 1 draft beer, package of licorice, a small salad, a small package of carrots, 3 oranges, Gatorade protein bar, 2 vanilla ice cream bars, a Naked drink, 2 scoops of gelato, a tasty cake, ginger ale fountain soda, and water with Liquid IV powder.

Also, I think your tent site now that you're on the National Forest meets the "remote" term since technically you're allowed to camp 100 - 200' off trail / away from water/road in the National Forest =) PS: I live in Maine too (but from Bennington).
