Hello Anuku, greetings from Hunza, being a local of Hunza i would like to let you know that our ancestors had been Hindus, Buddhists and Zoroastrians for sure and no buddy is denying this fact in this region. Initially they were Hindus and later on the local religion became Zoroastrian for a certain period, after that people became Buddhists and then Muslims. The mosques you saw in the video had been used as worship places during all the history, initially these were Hindu temples, when people adopt Zoroastrianism they used the same worship place and the same way when they became Buddhists or Muslims they instead of building new worship spaces they kept their ancestorial worship places and used and named them according to their faith. So in this part of the world you might not be aware of the circumstances the people went through out the history, so calling them coward shows your disrespect toward others. Anyhow be happy and blessed

Hunza was a princely state and kingdom for over 2000 years, and it was only under British rule for 55 years, from 1892 to 1947. Before that, it was never part of South Asia; it has always been and remains part of Central Asia. The culture, language, and food of Hunza are entirely distinct from those of South Asia. Claims that this region was Indian territory or that its people were Hindu are incorrect. I grew up in Hunza, studied anthropology, and am well-versed in its traditions. Historically, the people practiced Shamanism, and ancient rituals like Bitåůn are still observed today. The Burushaski language spoken here is unique and unrelated to Indo-Aryan or Indo-European languages. It is more closely related to Turkic languages. The people of Hunza have stronger ties to Turkic and Greek ancestry, not South Asian. The Swastika, introduced from Baltistan, reflects the region's Buddhist heritage. When a Hunza prince married a Baltistani princess in the 10th century, around 200 laborers were given as dowry to help build a residence for her in Hunza. This is why you see Tibetan architectural influences in the Baltit and Altit forts, as well as Swastikas and other symbols, such as those from Zoroastrianism, in Hunza's architecture. Shia Ismailism was adopted by the Hunza king in the 10th century and has been the predominant faith since then. For those attempting to connect Hunza's ancestry with Kashmiris, you are mistaken. After the British defeated the armies of Hunza and Nagar in 1892, they instructed both kings to pay a yearly tribute to Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir Sir Pratab. However, Kashmiris never set foot in Hunza or Nagar. Our ancestry and cultural ties are distinct from Kashmir. Additionally, it is important to remember that Sir Pratab Singh was a puppet of colonial powers, serving the British Empire's interests. Let’s stick to the facts and avoid misrepresenting Hunza's unique heritage. The people of Hunza are well-educated, and there is no religious extremism in the valley. We take great pride in our heritage and culture, and we welcome everyone, regardless of background, with open arms. Please do not misrepresent or try to link our culture to yours. We are practicing Shia Ismaili Muslims, proud of our unique heritage and faith. Hunza has its own identity, and we celebrate it with respect and openness to all. I would recommend that Karl Rock, do some research before engaging in discussions about any place. Understanding the region's history and cultural background is essential for accurate and respectful dialogue. I urge everyone to open their minds and learn about different cultures. There are 7 billion people in the world, and India is not the birthplace of humanity. Stop trying to link everything to Hinduism or South Asia; it is time to respect and appreciate the diversity of global cultures.
ohhhh you are so much right, being a pashun im done with indians by explaining to them that we have our own thousands year old history, every human on southasia is not indian or hindu origin, but they never understand.

It's my hometown.. not being able to go home since last 2.5 years . Tears in my eyes
