Don't feel yourself unlucky, my Golf 3 Variant has an AEX engine that needs the alternator belt, the timing belt, the lower crankshaft seal cover, the exhaust and the sump removed to take a look on the oil pump. Half a day and of work in the rain and you're already at your destination.
Thanks, dit help my baie. My 2005 1.4 Golfie se olie lig het vannogend aangegan, olie level op dipstick is 100%. maar my lifters raas soos marbles in n koffie blik! Lyk soos n maklikkie jobbie!

Hi Nkosikhona, thanks for the support man, yes sometimes an error on the cluster causes the buzzer to sound, let a good Auto electrician have a look for you, good luck.
Hi Gary ,just something else : I bought a oil splash plate to install under the tappet cover. Must it be bolt on with nuts or must it just be installed without doing anything else ? Regards Gys

Why didn't you install the updated pump that has bigger gears that's for the mk3 ABA golf and jetta? It acts as an update for the older MK2 golf and jetta.
Ek gebruik altyd 15w40 vir die Golf Shaun, as die idling te laag is kan dit die olie lig aan skakel. Dit kan ook wees dat die olie pomp se sifie geblok is.
Hi there. What if I did and replaced all that parts and more but the buzzer still comes on but my car drives very nicely. What would it be. Can u please let me know
Would the oil pump make a noise when its on its way? When my car idle it make a random whirring sound at the distributor area. I mistook it for a release bearing noise but did not go away after replacing the bearing
Hi Patrick, thanks for supporting my channel with your visit and interaction, 5 bars is quite high, usually around 3 bars is sufficient, but I like your idea of an oil pressure gage to keep an eye on the oil pressure, as you say for peace of mind.
Looks like there's an underlying issue of overheating with this car, this can also cause the oil to thin as it is operating outside its specifications. This sounds like the reason why the oil pressure was low at highway speeds and 3k rpm. Did you look into the overheating problem too?
Hello Arnold, thanks for supporting my channel, I am not clear on what your problem is, you do not mention specifics, so I do not know how to respond. Gary
My oil light is off before starting and then it comes on directly after starting , dit replace all the sensors and the pump aswell .. But still the oil light is on while idleing
I wish I could watch this video but I just don't have the time to waste. If I knew that it was for a diesel engine I'd watch it, but after two minutes watching it and scanning the comments I do not know if it is relevant to my Jetta diesel. How about making the title more descriptive? Or at least do so in the video description.
Excellent! Please do more, you're a natural.

best video on oil pressure and oil pump ... thank you sir ...
Thank you I am happy the video was useful
Great video, that oil sump was so easy to remove, my Fiat requires removing half the exhaust

Can I ask something when u change oil pump the is something you adjust after putting new one oil pump?

Would this process work similar on a mk2 golf?

How long should the car stand after the pump has been installed for everything to seal up?
Hi there. What if I did and replaced all that parts and more but the buzzer still comes on but my car drives very nicely. What would it be. Can u please let me know
Hi Chamil, the sensor activating the buzzer needs replacing, this I found on numerous occasions with the Vws.
Would the oil pump make a noise when its on its way? When my car idle it make a random whirring sound at the distributor area. I mistook it for a release bearing noise but did not go away after replacing the bearing
No not the oil pump Gary, but the distributor bushing could be worn.
The distributor is a couple months old only, could it still possibly be that?
Sometimes the quality sucks, but one cannot discard this possibility.
same guy different channel Lol
I've noticed yes lol. Its a Sebring distributor i used. Are they not a good brand?
My car has 265000km and oil pressure is 5 bar! Have installed an oil pressure guage. Peace of mind!

Most South Africans use tap water as a coolant which boils @ 99°C and coolant boils @ 129°C
I have the same problem on my golf i can't fix it it's still do the same problem i use w15-40 oil

Can be a faulty cluster
Take the buzzer out the cluster, I had the same problem. While u at it buy a new cool cluster
It's stripped off
