In my 55th years of taking photos, photography asks a great deal of questions from the photographer. Some I still don't know the answer to, but this is why I still take photos, because I enter my own little world with just me and my camera. It answers questions inside of me, which I never asked. My second love is my pottery. Thank you for your video, it's very inspiring. Regards from Salisbury East in South Australia.
I love your composition on your photos. I also enjoy your personality and candor too. I do love the Bronica 645 very much. But, I too have had my quirks with my agitation. I could have cried! Okay, I'll be honest I did, out loud. I can be honest now, there was no one around then. But, I can look back on it now and say, " I've learned from it." I can also laugh about it. But, not back then. If you can do that, then you can move on now. That's what it is all about. I loved this video with family in it. It was quality time. I also, loved the pottery. That was magic too. God Bless you and your family. Roger
Oh, how I get your frustration! I am waiting for my own photographs being developed by a new local lab. Trying not to get my hopes up ) The fly was a nice surprise though. Kinda cute
Great photos, and video too. I love the railing photo at 9:25. It looks like you hid the horizon behind the top railing, but maybe it is just below. The tones of the far ocean and sky become very close.
I think it is just below, but I totally see what you mean. I also love seeing how the sky and the ocean almost melt into each other, these are my favorites parts of overcast days by the sea.
I really enjoy your videos, cosy, informative, a bit of fun and simply nice. I just got a Bronica ETRSi myself and look so much forward to my first roll. Thank you for the videos!
I just purchased my first Bronica camera this last week because of your influence and praise of the camera. Same as you. ETRsi. I haven’t even run a roll of film through it yet! Soon. Very soon.
Thanks for taking us on that journey. I love how you presented everything. Also the set of rainy shots were actually really nice and some of my faves from the video, except maybe the fly! haha
Thanks a lot for your comment, Norbi! :) Sometimes a backyard is more promising than expected at first glance. I have some more black and white rolls I shot around the house that I still need to develop, so fingers crossed that there will be something interesting on there as well.
Hi Karin, I only found your channel over the weekend and I watched quite some videos. I really like your content :-) I am only starting out with film photography and I think your videos are very inspiring. Thanks for the great stuff und viele Grüße!
accidentally lomo purple. I have not seen that yet 😀 The pictures are really great, because you get the same desire to go to the coast. The fly in the camera is really too cool. 😂 So much win in a fail I have not seen. really good video.
I really really liked the picture of the kid running on the shore! And I really liked this long style video and now you make me wanna escape the Canadian winter to go to the Baltic sea
Thanks a lot for your feedback, I appreciate it! I was actually worried that the video might be too long and therefore maybe uninteresting, but I am glad that this is not the case. If you want warm water you should probably go to the mediterranean sea instead, but the baltic sea is also lovely at all seasons.
That was. GREAT!! Starting on my Medium format Journey…I just got a ETRSI for Christmas…thx… What is your roll up backpack,? Looks like a good simple camera bag.
You’ve got amazing spirit and humour. The video was really entertaining to watch. My favorite picture was the b&w one with the couple on the bench. It’s simple but beautiful.

That fly in the camera is the funniest thing ever! 😅 How he avoided being slapped via that massive mirror I'll never know. The frame where he was squished would have been distressing tho...

Thanks a lot for your words, Max - I could not have put it any better, that absolutely hits the nail on the head (is that even a saying in English or am I loosely translating from German haha?).

Great shots! regarding the purple slides, maybe the Velvia was expired and/or stored in bad conditions? I once shot Fuji Sensia (expired in 2005) and it was a purple mess but I think that specific roll of film was not stored correctly. Anyways, the pictures are great. Cheers.
That's also what I saw as a possibility, but I have shot and developed some rolls from the same batch (all expired but stored cold from a German archive) where everything was fine. "alle goede dingen komen in drieën" as we say in Dutch. We also say "geen beter vermaak dan leedvermaak" (Schadenfreude ist die schönste Freude), so I enjoyed this Video.
good video, and nice to see we are not all perfect; but maybe a lesson here, if you have a special film stock (slide/xray/IR) ALWAYS give it to the lab separately from the 'normal' stocks ( Ilford B&W/Colour), AND label it properly, so they know what it is. One other reason for the streaks in the film, is an issue called Flatness of film, aka if the roll is not tight enough when you load up, Or you keep the roll in the magasine for too long, this 'creasing' can appear like the streaks on the film; I noticed this ONLY on the slide film, even the ILford films you put into the bronica, so it CAN'T be a film holder issue (if it was a light leak in the magasine, ANY film put through it would exibit this phenominon), so it has to be related to the Slide film itself, the purple colour can also occur if the film is OLD, aka really expired, as the silver halide in the emulsion gets 'oxydised' by the air, this tonality change occurs, if it were GREEN, then the issue you would have is Tungsten light based film shot in Daylight (5600K) conditions, aka a stock mix-up; Also if this purple tinge occured, perhaps the "anti-halation" layer was not rinsed off propperly before the developing started.
Hi Karin, I am a bronica etrs owner and I love this camera too. But here is something I found a bit odd from your video, at 8:12 it looks like you turned the winding knob several times before fire the shot, is that normal ? Because I only have to turn it once to wind on mine. Or is it the difference between the ETRS and ETRSi ?
Great video as ever 👏🔥 What camera bag are you using? If you don't mind me asking. I've been looking for a new one, and yours looks like the kind of thing I've been after 😁

Ever get anything good in those Pokemon TCG boosters? I had a few Porygon cards which I was quite fond of despite the Porygon card being completely useless
I actually got a holo charizard when I was a kid - can you believe it?! My life wold probably be different now, if I had been clever enough to sleeve it, not throw it away and sell it for today's prices... Porygon is a useless, but pretty cool card too!

What's your BEST photograph, can you replicate it every time, is it actually good, impressive, breathtaking? If not, you are just a girl with a Bronica.
Your problems will be solved quickly if you come to the south and get a sun tan with your cameras. For that though, you have to wait until corona is over.Lluís .Terrassa, Spain.
