Lovely scenery and images. What a dreamy place to spend some nights at.. This video made me rethink about polarized filters and filters in general. I'll have to start doing some research on them. Happy travels and cheers from Greece.
Hi Christos, So nice of you to comment on the video. In landscape photography filters play a big role to create the mood. Are you photographing landscape photography in Greece ?
@@GavinLyonsCreates Filters are a very interesting tool to explore, I mostly shoot street photography, but I've always appreciated beautiful landscape photos with a strong composition and nice light.
Smiling, I think the right camera for me, on a hike like that, should maybe be the Panasonic GM5 with the 12-32 lens. It's the smallest and lightest system camera there is, and for sure, I wouldn't take my LF camera with me. Nice trip, and nice food and photos.
Those Panasonic are really good. We kinda wanted to do it on film, just be a little crazy. Of course I could have taken the wee Olympus XA 35mm film camera which is tiny with such a good lens. I guess on the digital side things maybe one of the small Fujifilm X100..
@@GavinLyonsCreates Yes, I understand. I would take with me my Mamiya 6MF, and a GFX, if I had one, with a T&S lens. But I really think I would take that GM5 with the 12-32 and 45-100 lenses with me. I think my Pen-F weighs 300 grams more.
Love the video Gavin, the location and scenery were amazing but sometimes the music overpowers your commentary and it would have been great to hear all of your thought processes.
Thank you for your kind comments. Sometimes I miss the audio levels on the background music. Now that weather is getting more formidable, I was out today with the Bronica taking images so I hope to make more landscape video in next months

nice hike Gavin. 👌 everything is so beautiful and peaceful up there.
It's another word up there. Makes me wanna try some Velvia film next time around. Thank you for kind comment.

By the way, the Pana GM5 has been sold out on eBay for several weeks and months. I think the prizes is skyrocketing, like the Contax T3/T2.
So beautiful, and inspiring.
Thank you for you kind words
Such a beautiful place, can't help thinking how it'd have looked on Provia or Velvia.
Absolutely Velvia would have been splendid! Thanks for commenting. Gavin

Looking forward to seeing them as I am debating on what MF camera to buy. I am tempted by Bronica, I like the Fuji Rangefinders as well.
I want to go there 🤪😎
Hope to get back up there again maybe on skis, if I find someone crazy enough to do it :-)
Hi, what was your metering method?
Good question, my Polaris light meter +1 stop for the polariser. Georg has the light meter in the prism. I was using just the waist level view finder.
@@GavinLyonsCreates metering for shadows ?
Tend to do that and use ND grad for the sky part. Did have a spot meter in the past for the LF camera
