The reaction by some “fans” to Kate Winslet’s nude scene in Titanic is regrettable. The nudity itself is tasteful.

Let me tell you, no one in my school talked about how they thought she was too fat in that scene. I only heard other students talk about the end. About the dead bodies being frozen, the guy who hits the propeller on his way down, Mr. Ismay cowardly escaping the sinking ship whle there were other women and children aboard. Many things, but her weight was never mentioned.
So now i have to rent all these movies. For research.

Your information on Jaime Lee Curtis is false. She also stripped down in 1983's 'Love Letters' [frequent nude scenes] and also showed some skin in 1984's 'Grandview USA'. So Trading Places is NOT the only nudity she has done. Do your research before making your video.
I think she also had a moment of brief nudity in Terror Train. It's been a while, though.
I was shocked to hear that Kate Winslet was critizided for her nude scene on Titanic as not being thin enough. I thought she looked wonderful, the scene was actually very romantic and she played the character so well. People are too obsessed with women being so thin they actually look gaunt, bony even to the point of looking boyish. If you look at paintings over the centuries women were fuller figured, and seemed more desirable. It has only been in the last 75 years that women are expected to stick thin.
I prefer thin women, but certainly anybody who thought Kate Winslet was too fat in Titanic has got phycological problems. I used to have a friend who would always accuse me of only being willing to date thin women, and then he would turn around and criticize Sandra Bullock for being too fat. People are weird. They seldom see their own hypocrisy.
It is funny how everybody whines about how women look like now a days. I bet at the time hardly anybody said anything negative about Kate Winslet nude scene in Titanic.
@@user-yy1tr9du1y Winslet herself talked about how she was body shamed by the British media and fans after the film was released. Many remarks were made about "Jack could have fit on the door too if she wasn't so fat."
After putting in 250+ job applications, I finally got an interview. The interview went well. Near the end, the interviewer said "I like what I hear, but right now I have weeds out back that need pulling." I was in a three piece suit and it was 100 degrees outside. I said "Let me go home and change and I'll be happy to pull those weeds." The interviewer replied "No. If you want the job, you'll pull the weeds now." I stripped to the waist and pulled the weeds. After an hour, the interviewer said "Come back tomorrow at 8 AM and I'll put you to work."
The moral is, if you want the job bad enough, and you got bills to pay, you do whatever it takes.
In an interview, Mary Louise Parker refuted the story of her objection to a nude scene in “Weeds”. Parker told TV guide: “If you know me, it’s like, someone sneezes I take my clothes off. I’m naked in Esquire in August. I was naked on the set the other day.”

This is only adding to the stigma of appearing nude. There are plenty of actors and actresss that are fine with it.
True the cast of Freeform's Siren seem to be okay with it. Of course it was rated TV 14 but still.

About Kate Winslet, I never understood any of this "body shaming" discussion with respect to her role in Titanic. She was beautiful, and I had no problem with her American accent either. And as per this video if fans have asked her to autograph photos of her Titanic nude scene, how is that body shaming ? I'm asking because that's what the narration seems to imply. In the movie Jude, there's one nude scene that has to be the most difficult one I have ever seen, and I cannot imagine how she did that both emotionally, and technically in terms of filming.
hollywood and reporters have a thing about women not being thin as a rail, it's seems to be less of a case now but back then they were scrutinized alot more for even weighing a normal healthy weight

Healthy weight. That is exactly it. Women are meant to fuller figured then this unhealthy expectation. It is unhealthy physically and mentally.
It was a different era. Kate Moss "heroin chic" saw blonde, skinny white women held up as the beauty standard. Anyone who looked like they actually ate food was open to being called fat. In the two decades since "thick girls" have become normalized in fashion/media, so the idea of Kate Winslet being fat seems like a joke today. Also, I think she just sees her accent in the film as something she could do better now. She has done more natural American accents since, but I've always found Rose's slightly affected way of speaking suited to her upper class society girl character anyway.

Emelia Clarke was never "drowning in regret". You are stretching the truth here. She also knew that the role required nudity, she has stated so in multiple interviews that she knew up front due to the way HBO does nudity in nearly all of their shows. You are making things up at this point. Just stop.

Doesn’t seem “drowning in regret” is accurate. More like a range from none to varying degrees of some. Nor did I get the impression that parents were scared. Factually we never got the parents reaction rather the daughter was uncomfortable.
Jamie Lee Curtis also did a topless scene in Grandview USA. C. Thomas Howell was her lucky co-star.

Just to clarify I believe "gratuitous" means unnecessary. So most movie nudity may be unnecessary, but not all of it. I think the important thing is that any element of a movie should make sense in some way. Also it often takes time for stuff to sink in. This is why we might be undecided about some elements of movies until subsequent viewings resolve that indecision. One of my best examples is a particular series on Netflix. For me it was one of these things I was "supposed to like". After a second viewing I dismissed the entire thing as garbage. So the entire series for me was gratuitous.

I hardly think Kate Winslet was bothered by the Nude Scene in Titanic , she had already made 2 previous Movies with Nude Scenes and after Titanic she made 7 more Movies with Nude Scenes .She said that She won't make any more because She is getting too old to be showing her body .Young Rose is 48yo now .

They say that years after the fact, but that fat paycheck at the time was all it took. Accountability is a woman's kryptonite. Funny thing is, they'd do it again for that fat paycheck. By the by, poorly researched video, several of these people have made multiple movies with nude scenes. If you do something repeatedly that means you don't really have an issue with it. Some, like Winslet, has stated she won't do nude scenes anymore because of her age, nothing else.
7:20 not thin enough!!!!???? Cmon people!! Kate had a rocking figure back then, and still does now. I swear, peoples obsession with "the perfect body" is just so stupid. I look at some of those folks who "have perfect bodies" and the only thing that comes to my mind is "Jesus Christ, someone get this person a sandwich STAT!!" I've been skinny most of my life, and due to some complications with medication side effects I've gone from 190lbs to 440lbs. Yeah I'm not happy with that, but I don't let people get me down about it either. Not to mention most of those people doing the body shaming aint no Dwayne Johnson/Jennifer Aniston either.
