Can you elaborate a little more on what you mean by not wanting to use countermovement jumps under load? I don’t quite understand why loading this would be bad or unproductive and why static jumping is better.
It’s not that it’s bad. Jumping without a countermovement will reduces the time from when begin your jump to take-off, thus placing a greater emphasis on rate of force development.
@@willratelle8027 Cool when you say static position do you think jumping from a box would be better for rate of force development than jumping from a standing trap bar jump position?
200lb jumps from a static position. This is just stoooooooooopid impressive
Based on what results?
The 15-20% loaded acceleration and plyometric rule was based on supplemental track work which was measured by sprint times…
Thank you. Did you see the content about this topic on "sika strength" channel?
No I haven’t but Jump science has been talking about this recently
@@willratelle8027 The Sika boys are good. Check them out.
What’s the benefit/reason for jumping onto a box, rather than doing the same jump and just landing on the ground?
Intention of jumping higher. Adding another element to the task.
@@willratelle8027 thanks!
No, it’s to eliminate the stress from landing on the floor with all that weight.
@@jaymoney9643loading the concentric too. Could be extra work, as in in-season work. Should not replace landing/deceleration/depth
@@eclipsewrecker there is no reason to load the concentric during in-season.
F****** brilliant
So we should be talking like 7-10sec sets or what's the point of loading heavy vs doing a lot (ATP/PCr vs lactate metabolism)
Lactate ? For power/speed/strength?

Any difference on power output between bodyweight squat jumps and loaded squat jumps?
Yes lodes jump will usually be done with higher power
