I live in Australia and he was a huge favourite of the people there, always conducted himself in true sportsmanship style. The pubs and clubs were packed back in those days as there wasn't any cable tv then in this country or was very expensive but on Kostyas fights it was standing room only. He also took on well ranked fighters and won some really tough fights. Judah embarrassed himself as well as the guy in the ring doing the interviews.

That slo-mo replay of the punch just before the knockout shows his awesome power at 140 lbs. He rolled his entire body weight through that right hand that just missed. It would have knocked Judah into the first row. The next one didnt miss. One guy had speed and power, the other had a big mouth and could breakdance.
Took Tszyu only 1 round to figure him out.
Tszyu was a magnificent undisputed champion.

Seeing this interview with Judah for the first time - now I can see how he wasted his potential over his career. Once he was winning fights and a big name he thought he didn't have to train any more either - same mindset that derailed Mike once Cus d'Amato wasn't around any more. I also suspect Zab didn't invest his money wisely - he was still trying to make a comeback in 2019, and ended up with a brain bleed.
Hard to see someone talented so let down by no sense, bad attitude and no impulse control.

  • @CharlesDParker

Judah starts like the flash in the pan he is. Tszyu takes some heat and slows Zudah down after announcer says he is so quick Tszyu can't do this and that. Well, it ended with a power shot from Tszyu that drops the chicken in the Pot to dance his career away and starts him whining and crying. It's over for Zab.

They should have never scrutinized Nady's decision like that, the Showtime people I mean. He did the right thing. The way Kostya hits, he could have gotten really hurt. Jay Nady did him a favor.

Even though Zab got knocked out, he has always been fun to watch and was a good fighter. His chin was a bit weak but he had quick hands and hit hard. Decent defense too. Always felt with the right trainer he would have had a better career. Kostya has always been a beast and underrated.
