Installing Car Seats in a Toyota Tacoma

- Like many of you, I'm a Toyota Tacoma-driving parent. Parents take kids places. This video dives in and takes a look at how many kids you can haul in the back of America's Best-Selling Mid-Size pickup.
I'm using the Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 and two UPPAbaby Mesa buckets. Spoiler alert: it's a wee bit tight.

We have twins and an older kid, the diono radian rxt car seat can fit 3 across, but it will still be tight. Also expensive.

Thanks, this was informative. I've had a T100 for 4 years. 4 year old and a 1.5 year old, it's super tight but works. We're shopping for another truck and love the Taco but this is giving me reservations. Also looking at the colorado/canyon but I"m not sure it offers more width. Some in the comment section are talking about slimmer seats, which might have to happen, regardless, but that doesn't seem to solve the front passenger leg room problem. I'm 6'3"... frick
Safe to say the tacoma won't comfortably fit more than one car seat though?
full size truck crew cab or minivan only vehicles that accommodate car seats and front passenger/driver...
ive had the best posture i have ever had in my life hahaha. Trying to figure out how to get my car seat in my tacoma without this issue too

You could probably get by with boosters. Seat belts were decently accessible.

Lol I'm not having twins but I do have a 7yr and 4yr old boys....I'm considering a new Taco for our only car. 4yr old uses booster seat and 7yr old is tall enough where he doesn't need one. Our only issue is storage and space to easily reach something from the back...like a SUV.

Still want a Tacoma trd pro but damn man. A have a pre schooler and a dog and my wife. Thing is I live in the city and parking sucks so full size wouldn’t be practical. Man I’m torn
Yeah, I think with one kid you're good to roll with the Tacoma. It's when you start adding the second and third child when it just gets too tight.
