bruv, i can't agree with you more. The designer changan has is a pure horizon expander. The beauty , the style, the demenour, UNI K , UNI T , is just amazing!
SL03 is probably my absolute favorite in terms of overall styling, at least in the world of mid-size and compact family cars. At the right angle, the front almost looks like a shark.
That's amazing value for what looks like a pretty good car, I'm sure if this could be brought to the UK for 25-30k it would sell quicker than they could make them
@@benrgrogan that's still pretty good for what you get, not as amazing as if it could 30k or sub 30k but still I think for 34k it would still be popular
a few thoughts: I think most Chinese EV sedans, look alike, i.e., they look similar. well this is my opinion. after all, most EVs look alike secondly, i suspect the Chinese understand what the concept of quality from quantity. most of these EVs might not be around in 5-10 years and beyond. However, what will come from China will be only the best in the world. One of the best ways of improving is by churning out plenty work. It is from this quantity that quality is derived. The Chinese might not be pioneers, but they are becoming good settlers in the EVs space. Bravo China
I have heard some things about Changan, although mostly about their smaller cars, whatever it is that has the dragonfly emblem. The styling is hot though. Chinese cars really love their big back seats, and in this case it seems to its detriment, move those seats forward and you get more headspace. Going to need to improve a bit before they'll be able to sell on the international market but I am sure they have enough internal Chinese buyers for now.
I'm Chinese. When I was young, there was very little choice of Chinese cars. Almost most of the car brands came from Europe, America, Japan and South Korea. There was always the feeling that there was only so much room in a car, and so much ugliness in a cheap model's interior. But why build a car with so little space when Europeans are so much bigger than Asians? It wasn't until the last few years, when Chinese cars started getting better and better, that I realized all of these things could be done. I'm not saying other countries have bad cars. As a consumer, like you and me, I just want to say that when there are disruptors in the market, we can clearly see how we consumers have been treated in the past. peace!😃
Great video , thanks for another entertaining honest review! Do you really think the option to use your tablet in landscape or portrait “…useless…”???? For me , navigation mode is best use in portrait made , if your into TikTok or instagram it would also be useful, however to watch UA-cam, use the car app etc, ( as in most if not all Telsta and EV vehicle ie like the the SL 03) landscape is perfect . By the way, the angle mode for the tablets is a great idea, for when you are driving the passages in front snd back can watch UA-cam on a perfect viewing angle👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙏🏼it looks like a terrific car!!! Exciting times for a EV Chinese car manufacturing industry in the next 5 to 10 years. Hopefully one day we can all afford one!!!. But of course once that happens electricity bills will double. Sounds cynical. Stay safe and healthy👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺
I pray you'll do a review on the RADAR RD6 unibody EV pickup from Geely !! This Shenlan looks a lot like an electric version of the UNI-V to me (comment made before watching your Shenlan review)
I saw this car last week and have wondered what the heck it was until today. It looks amazing from the front. I thought I was looking at a much more expensive car.
Not seeing so much difference between this EV and Seal/Model 3. This Changan is no brainer at the mainstream segment with an attractive starting price.
@@linket Not only Saab. At least here in Europe almost every manufacturer had liftback or fastback dunno whats the right designation. For example, i drive a Ford Mondeo fastback. There are many models that support the English system, but the translation of the English system is not necessarily very accurate. When you see some English options on the menu, you will be overwhelmed.
amazing! how can they sell this cheaper than BYD which only has 1% margin or 1k profit per car?!🤯 I wish the video a bit more lengthy to show more of the frunk, interior, consoles, etc..
Porque los Chinos compiten entre ellos fieramente , y se manejan con márgenes muy bajos. Además su ganancia está en las apps que incluyen en sus móviles, tablets, autos, etc.
In my opinion, Chinese electric cars have impressive designs both inside and out and a lot of technology, just by looking at their options, they preferred these cars a thousand times over a Tesla.
Chinese EVs should flood markets everywhere so that all the EV cars will become more affordable. At present EV is still seen as a luxury, that's not what we all need right now.
Changan are making amazing looking cars whoever their designer is they should give them a raise ,the UNI range of cars are pure art.

the designer is an ITALIAN GUY, he works from TORINO.
Bertrand Bach, top guy!
It's lucky to be living in China this time if you EV lovers. So many choices!
you just said as all can think
And it's getting more by the week. Makes China one of the hardest place to car spot as there's always something brand new hitting the road.

90% of new cars have that look..it gets very monotonous.
It's a slick looking car. The spartan interior is a plus. Quite attractive. Like the new haircut too.

20k GBP in China

I wonder why you haven't reviewed the Zeekr 001 yet🤨. The car looks impressive according to others but I'd really like a Wheelsboy version review😉
The Avatr 11 looks really nice.
Love it. Can't wait to see it in Europe.
1:08 great exterior! feels like a hybrid of the Nio and Tesla but still looks good!

Changan is getting more popular along with other Chinese brands here in the Middle East.

A los chinos les gusta el espacio atraz, por eso BMW y Mercedes hacen autos para China más largos también, cosas de su mercado

To be fair to other markets, we've only had the space utilization possible with EV's in the last 8 years or so.

Changan shenlan is the MOST Chinese name ever
Having seen both great premium-looking EV sedans in person, I actually like the SL03 better than the BYD seal.

Do they not do car loans in China so you can charge interest on it? I mean 1K per car is dismal
Ultimate Industry chain integration, incredibly large markets, and absolutely fierce competition as well as independent intellectual property.
This isn't as premium as the BYD Seal and wasn't meant to be.
