It’s just complicated in the studio sometimes because untrained singers don’t realize they’re drifting away from the mic etc and then the audio isn’t consistent
So cool seeing the behind the scenes for a collaborative effort! It was also funny seeing Troy adopt Randy's handheld mic technique in the studio. Seems like y'all definitely had a great time coming together for this song, and it shows in the quality!

As a former vocalist, there's a difference between grabbing a mic on a stand and being static/stoic on a stage...compared to having it in both hands and kinda feeling more free. It gets even more interesting when you are actually holding an instrument or playing the drums because your brain has to work in a different timing. I would encourage any aspiring vocalist (and even experienced ones) to try out what position feels best for them and makes their voice sound most suitable for the music they're trying to write. :)
