Nice to get confirmation that nirncrux can b farmed everywhere in Craglorn - I was doubting myself when I found it in the south that if it's a bug or I'm tripping ;D - Also I'm so happy that u liked the fanart, was rly happy to see it here
Great information! I was attempting to learn more about nirncrux today and there really is a lot of divergent info out there. Thank you for the clarification!!
Good video! This will be useful to many. Nirncrux certainly drops from cloth nodes too. I harvest in Craglorn ever day, so I'm absolutely sure of this.
Thanks for explaining this because i have been running for sometime and i couldn't find it only to realize that i need to complete the zone quest for it
I love farming in Craglorn. The crux chance adds such a fun element to it. In my experience, the drop rate is the same for Metal/Jewelry nodes, Clothing nodes, and Wood nodes. Found a couple hundred crux over many many hours. You apparently can get them from Leather nodes (pigs and any source of leather) but VERY rare as those sources can be farmed in bulk. Way faster to try the other three nodes. I have never seen them drop in heavy sacks and farmed about 200 - 300 of those so if they can drop, extremely rare. I think of it this way, what is crux used for? Weapons and armor. What nodes are for weapons and armor? The nodes mentioned above. Which is why crux does NOT drop from alchemy or enchanting nodes. And yes, it drops in ALL of Craglorn. It used to be only northern, but got changed later to the entire map. I have a feeling that there is a crux node limit for the whole map, at one time. I think maybe 50 nodes in all of Craglorn can be crux nodes at one moment. If nobody ever farms those 50 nodes, it never drops. It kind of makes sense, otherwise every single node could have crux at once, and that would flood the market and lower the value. They use similar rules where only a certain amount of normal nodes can spawn at once and how if lots of nodes are being farmed, the respawn rates are higher. During quiet times I have farmed the same route hundreds of times and not one crux, but if I explore the whole map, regular crux. Hell sometimes I get 8 crux nodes out of 50 harvests. It varies wildly. Average is 1 in 100 for me. 1 in 1000 for leather sources. With the limited crux nodes at one time theory, you could say that nodes guarded by mobs or hidden in weird places have higher crux chance, since nobody goes there (so it could have been a crux node sitting there for days or weeks or however often they force a refresh) or people avoid them. Of course, if it is a super busy time or a bonus node loot event, ALL the nodes are being looted by dozens of people every few minutes so no issue, just farm whatever you see. The champion point passives are also really good and got changed. 50% chance to get a 'second loot roll' in a crux node (not literally just 2 of same crux, but two crux loot rolls so could be 2 Fort OR 2 Potent OR 1 of each). The loot roll chance is also 'per loot type' even within the same node, so you could get 2 crux but only 3 - 4 materials or you could get 6 - 8 materials but only 1 crux, etc. With all of that said, it is not consistent across the board, as loot like colour runes (Ta, Rekuta, Kuta, etc) will simply always drop 2 of the same one. 2 Ta, 2 Kuta, 2 Rekuta, etc... instead of 1 Ta and 1 Kuta etc... Kind of interesting. A final note is that Potent crux seems to be about 30% of crux loot rolls while Fortified is like 70% of crux loot rolls so a 2 Potent crux node is super rare. I did get 3 of those 2 Potent nodes in 3 days, recently, though. All luck. Oh and during the recent extra node loot event, people could get up to FOUR crux loot rolls per node, with the champ passive. Wild.
thank you for this, I've always avoided Craglorn because I solo, but I've just spent a couple of hours harvesting and picked up 3 fortified and 2 potent, it's a shame they don't sell as well on Xbox, but it's a fun run to do!
wood, rock, flowers all drop nirn stones. i found the the rate to be about 200 nodes harvested to yield a nirnstone. but count all nodes wood, rock flower. flower = cloth nodes not potion herbs. it runs on averages. you may harvest one day and get nothing all and the next day go oout and hit the bonanza. its true nirnstones drop throughout craglorn, but i found the greatest concentration to be in the north.
I used to save all my surveys for Craglorn and spend a whole day farming. Used to clean up, too! However I don’t recall ever getting nirncrux from a survey spot. Can anyone confirm if you can/cannot get nirncrux from survey nodes, just regular nodes?
I spend about a half hour or so doing this each morning. It's usually a pretty reliable way to get gold. There are occasionally days when none drops (I farm EVERYTHING, though, so there is always something to sell--alchemy and housing mats go for pretty good gold too), but there are other days when RNG smiles greatly upon me. The other drawback that has to do with kind of a luck-of-the-draw situation is other farmers; some days most of the nodes on my route are available, but on other days many areas might be farmed out. That said, it's still good enough that it's the first thing I do before going through my writs. Also, can confirm--clothing nodes drop nirncrux, though it DOES kind of feel like the drop rate isn't as high as mineral and wood. Maybe someone can confirm or debunk that? I've often wondered about it.
Craft Axes , transmute into nirhoned for weapons. Then take your crafter with all points maxed, Deconstruct and you get your nirn back. every 4 i deconi i get back.3 average i run dailys so no need to farm. Good vid i can confirm it is correct way to farm for nirn. Good luck all
one character can farm this material over and over again by harvesting nodes...materials are different than traits...the nirhoned trait can be researched and applied to weapons and armor.
@@ExplorationGamingESO Many thanks! Untill your video I thought that only one piece and one mat dropped per character x) This info will be an immense help :)
I have (once) had nirncrux drop after killing a group of crocodiles and have picked it up from plants too. Personally, i suspect all node types are able to drop nirncrux. I think my best was four in an hour but i have run around for over four hours harvesting everything i see and picked up none.
@@ExplorationGamingESO I don't have proof as i don't usually record my game play, but it was on the water's edge at the Lake of Teeth, near to the building that's falling down. I killed five crocodiles in one go and amongst the pickings was nirncrux. I can't remember which sort. It's only happened once, so far... I've just gone there again and i must have ran past a pair into the three, or the other way around. I just remember there were five. I remember it so specifically because it was the first and only time i've ever picked up nirncrux from killing something!
If you have 1000+ Transmutation Stones use them to transmute casual items to nirn and scrap them to get nirncrux as well... even better than scrap the Transmutation Stones 😁

That fan art was awesome btw! Very cool and of course a very helpful video as always. Can't wait to see the Halloween house too! Thank you!

Welcome aboard! And thanks for the nice comment!!
You mentioned the add-on map counters in this video; where can I find these?
Hey been waiting for your next video 😁
Awesome content here everyone.
Thanks my friend, more to come!!

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I've found everything you said to be true in my experience in Craglorn as well, so we must be right!
What is the champion passive/ability called that lets you refill for the possibility of having two nirncrux?
@@AndrewTurner150 Plentiful Harvest, in the green tree.
Only ever happened once but I had a piece of Nirncrux drop from a scamp in one of the main quest delves , sorry cannot remember which .
It can drop from all beasts that drop leather scraps. Velvas and Boars (critters). Also can be found at water nodes (Lorkhans tears)
First of all, its Welvas not Velvas...and Nirncrux does NOT drop from water nodes...
Video on Aetherial Dust? What nodes actually have a chance to drop it and what zones. Not a lot of info on it... Just an idea
Love that idea, thanks!! I'll get to work on it!!
@@ExplorationGamingESO Much appreciated!!!
Thank you for information I didn’t know about this. I’m trying to raise up blacksmith abilities.
Good luck!! And keep doing your writs to get those abilities maxed out.
I'll add this to my farming rotation :)
very profitable!
Lol been playing for 3 years and I never knew about nirncrux! Many thanks - very useful vid 👍👏

I’ve also got double nirn with the plentiful harvest cp skill. Especially with surveys it procs a lot. Especially getting runestone Kutas
good strategy

I think the drop rate varies between the type of node...just my casual observation.
Ahhhhh, he said double nirncrux, thanks for letting me know the whole zone is farmable
I saw a couple axes on guild traders selling for 900k pc na.

Can confirm Welwas.
is it PC only for the motif?
sorry, yes for now. I only have access to the NA/PC server....until ZOS finds me worthy.
nirn will in fact drop from clothing nodes.
yep.
Thanks buddy
To clarify... the nirmcrux trait material can drop more than once per character?
one character can farm this material over and over again by harvesting nodes...materials are different than traits...the nirhoned trait can be researched and applied to weapons and armor.

need video proof as that is NOT what ZOS lists as nirn-able...
