When I was boy I was the shop helper at a Stihl dealer in Michigan I remember the loggers using those big square body Stihls. I still love chainsaws especially Stihl.
I got my 056av for free from a guy who used it loging. I $20 in parts for the starter pall and rotor. The thing runs amazingly. Mine a different starter system then yours though.

Amazing I'm looking to change the clutch drum on my mag 2 to a centre drive rim sprocket to suit a low profile milling bar. Do you think the clutch drum be the same as a 045?

I have a series on this saw and the finale vid shows converting over to a rim sprocket hub. I had to modify an Oregon but it worked out.
i have 3 056 av supers and 045 av super.. greatcsawd rebuilt 2cthem working on building a 056 magnum 2
