- These hardwood floors had missing stain and were just worn out after 17 years. We applied some stain to the worn out areas which brought back the luster in the floors after applying the polyurethane.

When it warms up have some spot refinishing to do… I usually do pretty well as I learned to feather the edges, like spot painting .. Sometimes not!
Thank you for this, I have been working from home for 2.5 years and have a worn spot where my desk chair it, I was thinking i was going to have to complete sand the entire floor.
If it is solid hardwood floor you can apply a water based stain, I now use Saman from Amazon. If it is pre finished you may have to use a palm sander to get the stain to absorb and stick better.
Would have been good to show the product used to finish
What do you use for the refinished?
So you don't have to sand bare spots before touching up? You can just clean then add matching polyurethane...Thanks
Does this work for any kind for wood floor ?
what refinisher and what kind of mop please ???
I'm wondering why you didn't lightly sand the worn spots before re-staining the wood.???? Never seen it done this way.
I had the same thought. I do not think they sand floors. Looks like the most they do is screen and coat. I have never seen someone use the method they do on a hardwood floor. Typically you want to avoid saturating wood with water like they do. lol

Ive had hardwood florors all my life and it sure got easier after we had polyurethane. You could actually mop them then!
My Mother buffed and waxed.. I dont think they were very clean???
I would never make this video without sanding the floor.. OR refinish my floors this way..
@@lllowkee6533 Even oil based poly finish isn't too resistant to water. A lot of pee and water stained floors I do are poly. But it is more resistant than other finishes. I typically use conversion finish and that you would buy a cleaner for and not mop it. lol
Could this be used for Scratched floors as well

I’m not the floor expert here but I still think light sanding needed over scratches so you can ‘feather’ in the stain..
How is the powerflite machine working out for you?
I have a Kulcher now, works much better.
If the color is faded out how do I get the "browning" back to the floor. Light spots out
The stain..
Nice job, ĥow does someone go about picking right stain color?
I have bleach stain on my wood floor what should I do?
Bleach?! Those are probably permanent, I am not even sure you could stain those to match. I would tear the spot out and resand and finish the room to match. I have never seen what these guys do. I would screen and coat, which is similar, but in my experience you do not put water on hardwood floors. That is bad for them. lol
what is the brand of refinisher that you used?
Pallmann
@@trueclean4you hey your work looks fantastic and you make it look so easy. But can you please tell us the exact pallmann product that you used? I’m just finding Pallmann cleaning products 😞
@@jeffgeorgefilms Thanks! here is the link to where I purchase it. floormechanics.com/
