That drill really put the prospective of lifting up and not coming in on the swing in the takeaway, which also allowed me to hit through the ball and not behind it thankyou Meegsy 🤗
:)
I couldn’t hit a hybrid for the life of me. Really any club for that matter. After watching this one video, I made solid connection with EVERY club. My hybrid went laughably from 125 to 196.. Subscriber for life! THANK YOU.
Love to hear that my friend!
Literally the BEST back swing instruction I have ever seen...Thank you!!!
Thanks, Joe! Appreciate it my friend!
Indeed, the most instructive tip I've seen (with deference). I'm built a little like a fire plug, and going flat was a problem when I played competitively. An old pro in Montreal had me relax the left arm and I played the best golf of my life. Then I lost it, and never found it again. You just described what was going on. ** My swing felt like it took forever! pk

Dream Team: EC and JT
:) Jt is great!
Great lesson, love the repeated demonstration of the turn. That's how people learn!
:) Thanks, Michael!
Awesome vid! 👏 thanks guys
Thanks, Anthony!
I tried this technique and I felt more turn and more power through the swing. Can’t wait to go to the range and see the ball flight and distance. Thanks Eric love your tips.
Thanks, Mark! Hope it serves you well!
I've helped a lot of people on the range this year and time index 10:12 to 10:19 is what I see ALL THE TIME and help them change - this then most often leads to the Left Cupping Wrist / Right Wrist into Flexion (search for leverage) which leads to the complete swing disaster which is 90% of what all Slicers do. Of all the videos I've seen on your Channel Eric, this completely captures what the biggest % of golfers do wrong and how most golfers can improve if they absorb what is being shown here. Bravo
Appreciate it, Paul!
Eric & JT great vid. You guys are the best. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
Appreciate it! Jt is awesome!
Excellent, thanks
Appreciate it! My pleasure!
Absolutely amazing how much addition turning and stretching is achieved from this multi phase exercise.
Yessir!
Outstanding video. Can't wait to get to the range as I know this will help me.
Thanks, E J! Hope it helps
Great detail of the elements of a good back turn. Thanks!
Thanks, Jim!
Fantastic video
Thank you, Philip!
great drills. thanks
Thank you sir!
Great lesson !
Thanks, Rick!
Great lesson. I can see some of what I haven't been doing correctly.
Thanks, Rick!
Great stuff guys!! From the 1 single in person lesson and your correction for me.. my little half swing drills with impact follow through stuff we did. I shot in the 70s more this yr even with covid than i ever have.. (personal best 73 ) with this little tipper here and workin on my speed a bit over the winter . Im lookin forwards to next yr 🤙
Love to hear that!!! Keep it rollin
Excellent video. Maybe the best video I have seen that talks about the proper turn and I hope helps me with what I believe to be a serious lack of flexibility on my part. Lol
Thanks, Mark! I hope it helps as well!
The idea of turning the belly button is key rather than turning the shoulders. It takes the tension out of my arms and shoulders allowingg my arms to swing instead of swing my arms across my chest. Great stuff. Thanks Coach!
Love to hear that, Jim! Our pleasure!
I subbed. This is great stuff
Appreciate it!
This teaching, along with "load the right arm" seem to me to be important for added swing speed, whip, and solid contact. Thank you! The skill of swing whip is like a turbo to the golf swing! I hate that for decades this skill has been missing from my swing!
Hope it helps, Walt!
Omg this is game changing 👍
:) Hope it helps!
This is awesome Eric. Epic actually. Maybe you need to be knighted as Epic Eric 😊😊
We'll take it :) Glad to pass along some of these thoughts with JT!
oof, JT has a heck of a golf swing. I really enjoy these collaborations EC, excellent stuff 👍
Agreed! He hits it VERY good!
Thanks for being with us!
Your ball impact sounds great in this video.
Thanks :)
That was siiiick!🤙🏻
Thanks :)
I can’t wait to try this on the range. My practice swings feel very powerful. A plus being a woman, my power is in my lower body and I have struggled with the backswing a long time. Hoping this helps my sequencing in the proper order. Thanks!
My pleasure, Linda! Hope it helps!
Nice comfortable progression drill.
Appreciate it, Nelson!
Dear Eric, thank for wonderful knowledge, here I would like to ask if the my left foot is weak, hard to hit golf, any advice or guidance?
Thank you for the kind words!
With regard to your question I would get together with a physical therapist or the like to find what works best!
Great video. I’m somewhat confused with the arms going more up with the turn back. In the Closed Coil course Eric has the arms going deep. ???
Hey John!
Yes...
The arms need to go UP.....AND AND.
The hands should go over the feet, right pec/bicep then over the shoulder from down the line.
Jt is simply saying that the IN part should come MOSTLY from the turn.
MOST golfers don't go IN enough....thats why I stress that.

Thanks!
now i can relate to this! have a safe trip eric. looking forward to some gr8 new vids
Appreciate it my friend!
This video (along with several other of your videos) has helped me a lot. But I still have that bent left arm at the top and I tell myself that’s one reason for not striking the ball consistently. I’m 68yo and have a former fractured scapula. Any advice for those of us that have the bent left arm issue?
Hey Paul!
I would need to see your swing on video to say for sure.
May or may not be a problem.
May be rooted in not enough body turn/extension (thats most common)
Usually one will bend the arms to increase swing length because they don't get it from the other areas....have to find with area you are lacking.
How do you start the downswing.
Body first but how?
Please explain. Thanks
Hey Harshad!
Check out this full series we did with Milo from Golfletics on how to start the downswing....we cover each part

What about partial swings? If you don't get to the point where its up to the shoulders to turn further and complete the swing, can you still get down on a good path?
Yep
I always take it back on the inside too much. I will try to lift up at the end of the backswing like you just demonstrated. Thanks 👍
Try this to get it more on plane and not inside....will work great if you work it long enough

If you have two Live View cameras, can you do front and side view of your swing at the same time on the same monitor? Also, can you record?
Hey there!
Thanks for watching!
The team at LiveView would be able to answer these questions best as it will probably depend on the devices you are using and the operating systems👊

Thank you!
@@CogornoGolf Ok I'll contact LiveView.
Is this with all clubs, such as driver and woods?
Yep!
I've noticed you recently changed your follow through on your right foot. It looks like you take a step through naturally with the swing. I struggle with posting consistently on my left leg and constantly worried of putting too much pressure on my left knee/leg long term. With this it feels more freeing and I am able to balance better. Is there any major flaws on this follow through?
Hey!
I don't do that on purpose....have some issues with hip and lower back that leads to that.
Would need to see your swing on video to offer any specific advice but in general I dont see issues with us
I have a flat back swing, had it for years, will definitely try this tip and hope by next UK season start I'll have better depth
Hope it helps!
This one would help as well!

Good video but too many ads interrupting the content.
Thanks for the feedback, Joe!
If you watch a lot UA-cam like I do to learn pay the $15 for Premium - No commercials and you can download videos to your phone.
i hit the ball further with this drill but still on camera my hands dont exit left. thoughts on this?
I would check body rotation first....do you have enough?
Next, need to feel left humerus bone working around your body more in follow through....like a reverse pec dec
Then just exaggeration and a stick in front

Athletic Motion Golf reckons most amateurs turn TOO MUCH - what do you reckon?
AMG guys are awesome!
You can see within my videos what I see all the time and my thoughts on that!
That's wrong. It should be full shoulder turn and minimal belly button turn. Watch Fred Couples, be barley turns his belly button.
Thanks for your feedback, Mike!
Hey Mike, that’s probably why poor Fred is crippled with back problems and has been for a long long time, so good look with that 🙉
won't check back with this pro, too many ads
Appreciate the feedback!
You might want to rethink this. Eric is awesome and you'd be really missing out if you're bailing because of UA-cam ads. It's their business model
