You are 100% correct. You have to force the left wrist to be bowed thru impact. That was the only way I fixed my flip. Good video
Awesome, Eric. Like especially how you addressed the process of change and the "real" vs the "feel".
Appreciate the feedback! Thanks for watching, Jack!
Outstanding video...your description of the goal to achieve forward shaft lean and reduce dynamic loft is spot on.....articulate, concise and very helpful...thank you!
Our pleasure, Bob! Thanks a lot!
Great video Eric you answered several question I've had about the setup and take away. Your detail is always spot on thanks.
Great to hear! Appreciate you watching the channel!
Love these videos, Eric. Great information. Thanks for posting. Happy New Year!! Jim
Thanks so much, Jim! Appreciate you being here with us :)
Happy New Year!!
Great lesson Eric
Thank you!
That was excellent!! Your videos are so helpful with that early release pattern.
Happy to hear it, Jeff! Appreciate you watching!
Excellent video. Loved that you used the brain, external focus (turning the club face down, which automatically sets the wrists properly), the image of hitting under a branch, etc. Research has shown that this approach leads to faster learning and better retention than just focusing on body parts. In addition, you have an easy rapport with your students. This might be your best video yet, and that’s saying a lot. One last point: When you did talk about his wrists, you mentioned how this would affect *both* wrists, so that your student could choose the action that most resonated with him. Simply outstanding.
Really appreciate your feedback and support! Thank you for watching!
Awsome video, great explanation on the results of bad vs good positions. I need a teacher like you!
:) Thanks John!
Would love to work together on your game over at www.cogornogolf.com 👊
Hope to see you there!
I really like the vids with an actual person getting the tips.
Thanks for the feedback! Happy to hear this!
That was another really good one on one video Eric, great job!
Thanks a lot, Kenny!
Thanks for sharing this!
Our pleasure, Philip!
Great lesson, I swear 90% of amateurs can significantly improve their swing if they just strengthen their lead hand grip. Everyone's flipping and early extending to save an open face
Thank you! 100%!
I play in a men’s league with a lot of seniors. So many extremely weak grips and flips. 😢
Terrific, very well demonstrated. A chap with similar issues to mine.
Appreciate it, Simmo!
Love the level of detail !
Thanks for watching, Mike!
These lessons are fantastic! In his first swing I noticed that his weight does not get to his left foot very well. I imagine that as he begins to improve his shaft lean that he will rotate better and get more weight to his left foot at or just before impact. Please please please show us more of his lessons and keep these coming! Thanks!
Thanks a lot, Dave! Appreciate you tuning in!
Another great video. I have started working on exactly this. Still trying to figure out which wrist to focus on - cupping left or flexing right. Great tips here and good knowing I'm not alone on how hard it is to correct flipping.
Thank you, Joe! Hope it serves you well in your practice!
Your right about the brain aspect being left handed I have a dominant left hand that's wants to take over the swing. I had to retrain my brain to get the left hand to be passive. I get more shaft lean now
Nice!! Appreciate you watching!
I'm right-handed and play left-handed. I found that if I focus more on using my left arm in the down swing I seem to do better. Good luck!
great video. I have a ES14 launch monitor and a Garmin R10. The
Garmin does not give launch angle but the ES14 does. Im sure the number dont compare with a trackman but it says my 7 iron launch angle is 17.6 distance 163 carry, 82 mph 109 ball speed spin 6800... does this sound right?
Thank you, Jim! I'd go to a fitting facility with a high end launch monitor and compare to test the accuracy👍
Eric, if I am playing with a strong to really strong grip yet still flipping, is it possible that I still have the face open somewhere during the swing? I have watched on video and in my downswing when my club is aligned with my back line, it looks slightly closed. Is it wrist angles or possibly something else? I know without seeing my swing your grasping at straws, but this is driving me crazy. You showed that video of the pro and my hands are outside my right thigh. It is not quite as drastic as your student pre swing change, but still not where I need it.
Hey there! As you said, hard to say without seeing your swing...but I would start with the following two videos and let us know if you have any questions👊

Does this same swing work the same with a driver also?
I’ve been hitting just like this guy. Flipping at the ball. High flies no distance. TIA
Great video.
Thank you!
100%. All clubs👊
OK, Eric, you have me confused now. In the previous video, you had a tee sticking out of the butt end of the grip and you said on the take away the tee should be pointing toward the body. Then, as you progress in the backswing, going up the plane, at the top of backswing, the tee should be pointing toward the toes of your foot. In this video, you’re basically saying that the shaft is too upright when you do that. Can you explain to me what the difference is?
Hey David!
Check out this video for more details and let us know if you have any questions after!👊

Love it. Especially the "I am exaggerating like hell here, oh, the dial moved 1%...." To reset your brain is soooo damn hard
:) Appreciate you being here with us!
🤠💞💞💞😎
👊👊
Question. Why do we want to have our tricep on your pec?
Good question!
It helps preset (1) the good arm structure (keeping lead arm relatively straight/elbows close) and (2) the connection between your upper arms and torso...both of which we want to maintain throughout the entire swing.
We do not want our arms/elbows on our sides + too far apart/bent at setup. We DO want our triceps on top of our torso...the bottom part of both triceps are sitting kind of on the side of your pecs👍
You may enjoy these two videos!
