Unboxing a Solary SD308 EVAP Leak Detector Smoke Machine from Amazon. Review & Flaw Modification.

Welcome to the Custom Car UA-cam Channel. Today I will take you along as I unbox and review the cheap smoke machine I bought on Amazon the Solary SD308 for use in my shop. I end up making modifications to the machine so it will not damage the vehicles that I will end up testing with it.
I can't recommend this Solary smoke machine because of the major flaw I discovered and fixed in the end but I will put a link in my description below because I'm still going to use it and if you watch this video you can also make this modification to have your own smoke machine on the cheap.

I disconnected one of the air pumps, after a couple minutes it would do this stupid like pressure up and release thing like your doing with your finger. Did some experimenting and having both pumps running was doing it. I also installed a cooling fan on the backside. Runs longer now.

@@petescustomcarshop it’s the model below it, doesn’t have the flow gauges. Just the pressure gauge. Not sure why with both pumps running it would start to puff. Like it would have a pressure spike and let off. even when it’s not hooked to anything.

@@petescustomcarshop could be, I bought oil for automotive smoke machines so maybe I could try another oil. I also figured out it will hold a lot more and still smoke than what the manual says.

@@harleyguy932That reminds me one time I overfilled mine and it was acting really weird and puffing smoke. I drained it and refilled it and it worked as it should.
