Pull the plug on NPR. Thay can't survive without government funding and that being the case whatever they're selling isn't being bought by those who do the buying. Any commercial radio station with a flawed format dies pretty quickly and the same should apply to NPR.
Either that or they confine the broadcasts to the arts and stay out of politics completely if they want continued funding.

Maher could use a little advice from Bill Barr, who despite what Trump supporters think of him, stated point-blank when asked who he plans to vote for, said that despite his misgivings with Trump, at this point in American history, he will vote for Trump and Republican candidates because a vote to maintain the Democratic Party in power is basically a vote for national suicide. We'll soon learn whether this country is so stupid and corrupt that it is willing to die a slow death just so it can have unrestricted abortion on demand while swallowing Democrat propaganda whole.

Many first responders worked in Manhattan, but lived in Queens because it was too expensive to live in Manhattan. I knew several of them and knew even more that died that day at Ground Zero. NPR: All rant, all slant. College students, their professors, and universities should focus on academic learning and not pushing their sociopolitical agenda.
I was a consistent NPR listener until they did an infomercial for a local hospital, without mentioning its name, where I received cancer treatment. They were bragging about all the support services they offered. I was begging for those very same services during my treatment, I got excuses. Finally my radiologist told me to put it in the customer satisfaction survey I would receive at the end of my treatment. It was Backus Hospital in Norwich CT.
I keep meeting people (“Liberals” ie, Socialists/Marxists) that say “I’ve listened to NPR for years and they are middle of the road. They don’t say anything crazy.”
What they THINK is middle of the road/moderate is actually far Left. They actually have no idea what is actually going on or how crazy and how far from American their views really are.

The Israel/Hamas issue pushed me to finally make the switch to Republican exclusively in my voting patterns. Dave is right that this is a last-straw issue for many former moderate Democrats.
I always vote Republican but would gladly vote Democratic if any of their issues made sense.

Regular Democrats are fine but it's the far left that's an issue. It's the same with the right. I think a lot of big channels are using reaction type videos to put a barrier between their channel and the 2/5 YT TOS update. YT went after Tim Pool of all people deleting videos from years ago. Tim spoke about it in depth saying the new TOS is putting creators in a position to lose their channels even if they've followed the rules in the past. He is making some announcements in the near future about his plans, we'll see. I think it is only going to get worse. YT threatened me with a strike for sharing a YT video on YT. They deleted the video shared on my page, but not the original. I fought and won because it wasn't my video, and the original video was still up. This has happened to me 3 times this year already. My point being, I think creators who are fearful are laying low and letting other people say what they want to say and then just react to it. 1984 more and more every day.

Outside of it probably gets clicks - Dave often frames it as if he thinks Maher is a barometer of sane, old-school liberals. The idea being that if Maher is waking up to a certain insanity, surely most mainstream Democrats will too.

I like that Bill Marher is saying what corporate media is afraid to, but he is also very late to the table. He had guests on his show five years ago who told him this was going on and he derided them. Is he next going to support a woman's right to vote?

A few years ago I was working in a classroom. And wanted to put some classical music on for the kids. In between music they had a break where they talked about some events in the news.
Okay, no big deal? Right?
Well they proceeded to talk about some sick dude who molested kids who was getting sentenced that day.
Not ideal for the kids to hear but a quick snippet shouldn’t hurt, right?
Wrong.
They went into graphic detail talking about what this guy did to kids using technical terms.
I got a subscription to Spotify that day.
Let's be fair. The people demonstrating are not monolithic. Some of them, the Tlaib From the River to the sea crowd, want to end the existence of Israel, and they may be the majority. But others just want the fighting to end.
