Thank you very much AJ! I do the same thing putting the keys in front of me as well! I have learned though, with more difficult locks that doing so actually made the lock harder to pick for me if I focused to much on it, because I was thinking that a pin didn't need to be lifted that high and in actuality, I wasn't setting it all the way! I also have found getting my vice just right is a pain and it helps so much getting that just right angle. Pin 1 issues I could live without lol. It's very easy for me to "get lost in the keyway" and not realize what pin i'm on especially if my pick slips. You're doing a great job and progressing very fast! Thanks very much for your entry! Thank you mate, yeah I must admit I managed to pick the gege while watching picking time last night and while open decided to try and see how much angle the pick has when each pin is at the shear line and was surprised by how deep some were needed to be set, so definitely need to start ignoring the key a little more. Yeah I adjust my vice for almost every lock. Cheers mate and best of luck
