Harli G I had the same thing you’re showing, but it doesn’t look like red scale when I looked at the pictures. It was all over both of my syngoniums. I had to look very carefully to notice them moving. They would stop until they felt no movement on the plant. I took them outside and sprayed every spot down with my hose on the mist setting, then placed under a fan outside for 2 days. Then I sprayed down with Neem oil and placed under fan again. I haven’t had any problems since.
Hi Harli, wow, I didn't realize you had so many plants, I thought I had a lot at 145+, lol. My morning routine consists of walking around and checking the leaves top and underside to make sure there are no pests, watering them, some I bottom water and some I top water, I have a variety that I do both. I also go around and clean off any dead leaves, some I decide if I want to propagate and if I do them I get some cuttings, I also decide if the plant is happy where it is or if I need to move it. I have been doing that the last week or so. My weather here in Idaho has turned cold and it's that time of year when I have to decide where the grow lights are going. I know that everybodies plant care is different and we all have learned what works the best for each of us, but I really love that I can get some good ideas of things to try, and maybe they will work and maybe they will work differently. Plus I really just like watching you do plant maintenance and talking and visiting, it is very relaxing, and I totally enjoy it so much. Thank you again Harli, always so good to see you, you always make me smile, love you and I will see you soon, bye for now.
oh my gosh this was so perfect because i needed new ideas for my plants because i am getting overwhelmed by all of them. thank you so much harli! i love your videos!
Oh no! I have totally been there with feeling overwhelmed by the plants. I hope you come out of that funk here soon. Give yourself time to not worry about them to rejuvenate yourself! If a few of your plants struggle for a second, it's worth it for your own well-being. (:
I had a little mishap last year that I hope by sharing can help prevent it from happening to you. I had a humidifier sort of close to my jewelry last year and it rusted everything. Even the sterling silver was sooooooo tarnished it took me forever to clean it up. The costume jewelry was mostly destroyed. ☹️ Just thought I’d give you the heads up that it’s something that can happen. I have weird stuff happen to me though 🤣 So maybe you will fair better with the close placement.

Heck yeah! You got this. I always tell myself if I accomplish a task I'm dreading or a goal I've been working on I can reward myself with plants too! Works like a charm :P
I too seem to water with a glass when I have at least a dozen watering cans. lol I also keep many small containers of water sitting about for humidity, and quick watering needs. I don't have a set routine, just when I see they need attention.
Hey Harli! We be 😂getting in that exercise for the day walking back and forth! I do the exact same thing but I don't have anywhere near 300 plants!#Goals. Thanks for sharing!
Your tip about leaving little glass jars of water around for humidity is great for a cold, dry state like yours. For people in warmer places, check first to see if the Aedes mosquito is a problem in your area. They need very little water (like, a bottlecap worth) to lay their eggs in and they are happy to invade your home and bite you to bits. They've been a huge problem this summer in Southern California so I wanted to mention it!
Oh my gosh you crack me up being out of breath… Because you sound exactly like me! Only, I’m not pregnant and you have an excuse. :-) I love How you use kitchen items to water your plants. Also same!
What I do in the morning for mine. Is make myself coffee and move my plants to the window or anywhere they can get a bit more light. Since I have to two cats and one loves to chew. I have to have them high up. Sooo I usually put them on the edge of my table where my window is and let them get the light that way. And also I can watch my cats and make sure they don’t eat them lol
Hey Harli! My Thai constellation I ordered from Thailand had those exact bugs on them when it came and I didn’t know what they were either lol I just used an alcohol soaked Q tip and pushed each one off, (some of them were hard to push off) then I sprayed the whole plant down with soap and water and they are gone. 💯 Hope this helps. FYI you’re the best and congratulations on your pregnancy 💐🌿🌱😘
That’s exactly what I do with my plants & my phone flash light. I caught a whole bunch of spider mites on my plants that thankfully got caught in time thanks to the flashlight method! 👍🏻 great vid!
You spray Neem oil in the evenings when its outside so that most beneficials, particularly bees have "gone to bed." I don't think it matters when plants are indoors. Was wondering why you spray it off. It won't smother bugs anymore after its dry but its almost like leaf shine. Also, with all the comments on the choice of watering vessel I have to add that I recently picked up a 48oz watering can with the long slender nozzle. Its soooo much easier than carrying glasses, or sometimes I refill water bottles and not as messy as trying to use the big water can from outdoor plant care. Happy watering!
I just really enjoy watching your videos and love to hear about your pregnancy. You and your mom are so down to earth and I can relate. Thanks for sharing 💚 that bird of paradise was huge!!
Your plants look great and I missed seeing your vids your so bright and cheerful you brighten my days. Glad I am back watching you tube now that I have my new phone
I loveee my micans 😊 yours is gorgeous too! I had it on my wishlist for a while and finally found one on Etsy (I’m in Europe). It hangs in my dormer above my bed. I can only offer it morning sun but it seems to be happy there.
I have the same bug on my fiddle leaf fig. 🤦🏾♀️ I bought it and didn’t realize it had a bug problem and I didn’t know what the bugs were. I just bought some neem oil. Wish me luck.
@@HarliG Yep, it arrived and I'm loving it and so are my plants. I love that it is so quiet and has so many settings. Thanks for recommending it. God bless!

I've had those bugs on two of my plants now! Plants I bought from J&J and cactus and Tropicals 🤦 I've just been wiping them off and when I water the plants I spray off the leaves really good! Haha also I'm happy I'm not the only crazy lady going around with a flashlight 😂
@Gloria Triana I just bought one but the Infos about watering are different everywhere. Do you water it when it's completely dried out or do you make the finger test? xx

Hi Harli, how is the levoit humidifier working out? i have been reading awful reviews on amazon.
Really?! I’m so surprised by that! I had high expectations for it & so far it has really lived up to all of them + some 🙀
my micans weeps little droplets of sticky sap that scar the leaves... thoughts? no sign of pests, and it’s currently in a water prop station.
I'm curious, why do you water the plants in the bowls/plates under them instead of just directly?
She has a video explaining why she bottom waters certain plants. It's very informative. :)
How do you care for your zz raven? Mine hasnt grown at all since I bought it in march..
Is it in low light? That will slow the growth. Mines in a south window and has 3 new shoots coming out
