A Place to Live, Work, Play and Learn
Downtown Towson is booming with everything active professionals want-a place to walk, bike and explore, with shopping and entertainment just around the corner.
Towson has become a major destination, with more than $1 billion in recent private investment. A 15-screen Cinemark theatre anchors a new boulevard of restaurants at Towson Square. The Towson City Center office tower is bustling with employees from MileOne Automotive and Remedi Senior Care headquarters, as well as Towson University Institute for Well-Being and WTMD Radio.
Adding to the downtown Towson lifestyle, Towson Row will be anchored by:
A Whole Foods Market
134,000 square feet of office space
250 apartments
905 student housing units
100,000 square feet of retail
A 200-room extended stay hotel
Downtown Towson is a convenient place to work-Towson and Goucher professors biking to campus; Mile One employees stopping for a coffee at Cunningham’s before going to the office; General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) programmers exercising at L.A. Fitness at Towson Commons or visiting the Towson Town Center; Stanley Black & Decker Global Tools and Storage engineers walking to the Joppa Road corporate campus from new townhomes; and health care professionals just a short hop to GBMC, University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center or Sheppard Pratt.
Take your pick from a range of housing, whether its eco-friendly Towson Green townhomes, or luxury apartments with pools, spas, gyms with personal trainers and views of the growing Towson skyline. More than 3,000 apartments and townhomes have been recently built or are in development downtown.
Diverse Business Climate
Towson’s diverse business climate attracts Fortune 500 companies and start-up entrepreneurs. The TU Incubator and Baltimore County Boost Fund are assisting early stage companies as they bring business ideas to market. New co-working spaces are attracting start-ups and innovators.
Smart public investment, revitalization of older commercial areas, and business assistance and loan programs are transforming the Baltimore County seat into a vibrant downtown.

My college roommate grew up in Towson. Based on this video, I'd say that he had a privileged background. Pretty scenic part of Maryland. None of the harsh urban reality that some parts of Baltimore are known for. Before he died he lived for a few years in a nice Brooklyn brownstone with his young family.
I live on the west coast -- but I grew up in the area covered in this video. In fact, you drove by my house. I left almost 50 years ago. Your video makes me wonder why...
I don't buy your story. need proof.
