Bethesda and cheap? North Potomac? What's next? Potomac and Chevy Chase? The nicer part of Columbia and Ellicott City are not cheap either lol, nor the nice part of Gaithersburg. Frederick is cheaper but far from cheapest also - and getting more expensive.
I've lived in Maryland all my life, and in Columbia Maryland since 1971. Columbia is very expensive. This video should be called nice, expensive places in Maryland.
I live in MD and work in Baltimore. There isn’t anyplace cheap to live in MD. MD has very high taxes, and real estate is ridiculously high. Do not come to Maryland if you want to live cheaply.
Thanks for sharing. Maryland has always been considered the Upper South to her descendants. It is cheaper than the American North and American West, but more expensive than the majority of Southern states. Annapolis, Columbia, Ellicott City, Frederick, and Towson, Maryland is the Baltimore metro area also known as Central Maryland, Ravens and Orioles Nation. Mr. Rouse was instrumental in the Baltimore metro region. Gaithersburg and other regions of Montgomery County are parts of what they have newly named the DMV or DC metro area. Mostly Washingtonians. and Native New Yorkers. Many of us are Very surprised these areas are considered reasonable. Possibly reasonable if you are transplanting from the North and Western regions of America. However, if you are from the American South you are sticker shocked, because Southern Living offers a bit more without the dollars signs. Overall Maryland’s descendant can confirm Maryland has a history of beautiful homes, rivers, lakes, Horses, and overall good living.
nowhere in Annapolis is cheap it has the highest housing cost in the state😄 I mean you're taking cheap and the median house price is 800K in North Potomac? Maryland is in the top 5 of highest costs of living in the US. you mis-titled your vid.🙄
Could have done a better job of syncing the video with the dialog. E.g., while talking about Wilde Lake Village you were showing scenes of Lake Elkhorn in Owen Brown Village. 😕
The lake is not Wild Lake, that lake is Lake Elkhorn, lol. Also, Columbia MD is NOT among the affordable places in Maryland to buy a home. US Historians need to do more research on Maryland!!!
I stopped watching this video when they said North Potomac. This area may just be one of the most expensive, lol. What a waste of time watching and will never watch anything from US Historians again. History and facts are definitely not their strong points.
Lots of clichés-“where past meets present” “vibrant community” 🥱. Not a helpful video. North Potomac real estate is highway robbery. Rockville has 4 seasons 🙄🙄🙄? So does all of Maryland 😑

My son lives in Upper Marlboro, it is a beautiful neighborhood, safe...😍
Someone didn’t do their research 😂
Named majority of the most expensive cities in the state.
No way, Bethesda, Potomac, Kensington and Columbia are expensive but nice. Ellicott City is reasonable but very prone to flooding. Take heed.

Your joking right, about your title Affordable Places, come on these are all upscale neighborhoods, nothing affordable for the average working person.

How are some of these neighborhoods affordable if they're above the national average?
"US Historians" must have created this video from some past era we Marylanders aren't living in.
As soon as I heard Columbia MD, I stopped listening. Columbia is expensive I once owned a home and lived there for 5 yrs.
Just a note: White Flint Mall no longer exists. It was completely razed
Yes more than 5 yrs ago

Thank You so much

Did it say Loois Vooten? 😂
Ah, yes! And the most expensive cities are what? Cumberland? Waldorf? Baltimore? lol

AFFORDABLE BY WHO'S STANDARDS?!
This must be a joke.
Rockville is far from cheap. I stopped watching as soon as I heard that part.

Maryland - too close to concentrated Evil of Washington.
Maryland sucks
Most roads are. Falling apart.
Crime is through the roof.
Gov wes more wants to keep all elegals in MD. And give them our tax money.
