  • My annual trip to Pyramid Lake to fish for the famous Lahontan Cutthroat Trout. On this trip I made some trolling flies to mimic the local Tui Chub bait fish. This was my fist attempt at this and I was able to catch a handful on the fly! I was with my friends from Fresh ' N ' Salty Kayak fishing Group.

@@Phishrmanimagine next year. You can fine tune it even more. Double hooks on all. Etc.

@@supercliff5634 exactly. I wasn't able to get any on Saturday with that hook set up. I probably wouldn't have missed a bunch of the shirt strikes.

Nice video, nice fish...Btw... I noticed some of the fish you were releasing were having a difficult time swimming again. You were being very gentle with the fish but you can always move the fish physically back and forth in the water to force water and oxygen through its gills. in order to revive them faster. Out of water, a fish's feathery gills stick together, reducing the space available for gas exchange, eventually resulting in suffocation. You might already know this stuff already but just in case you didn't.............Rip lips !

@WesleyWong-wm1fl Thank you for the good advice. FYI all the fish eventually swam away. Thanks for watching! Tight lines!
