Thanks for the video and recommendation of Precision Alignment, but they're too far away from me. Could you give your or Precision Alignment's (or both) views on settings figures? Assuming no changes to caster, I would love to know recommended GR Yaris settings for "fast road", which should interest most owners. Personal preferences aside, what (static) camber & toe would be a good baseline setting for front & rear, offering sportier drive and reduced understeer, without too much compromise on tyre wear & straight stability (as don't want crazy lift-off oversteer)? And if caster changes come into play, what formula or website do you or Precision Alignment use to calculate a caster & static camber combination that won't make dynamic camber (and therefore also the front-rear camber difference) too much? Thank you!
I’m personally a fan of toe out at the rear on the GR Yaris, I run 2mm toe out at the rear as a minimum and sometimes 3mm toe out at the rear on tighter tracks to induce some oversteer and for quicker corner entry.
Yes, that's a great idea for the slow, twisty tracks. As we are in autumn, coming into winter and I have trips to some higher speed tracks coming up, I wanted the extra stability.
It's from a Japanese company called Rhd Japan. It's the short boss adapter and button holder. Yes you will need a resistor but it's not really a kit. The best resistors were a pack of 10 I bought from amazon for a science kit or something. 2.2 ohms ideally but 2 ohms should work. You just bend it and fit into 2 terminals. That's it.
Maybe I did one of those things but I'm over the moon with this alignment. At the end of the day, it's driver preference and feeling that matters and I couldn't have hoped for it to be any better. I was able to have an in-depth discussion with Emlyn about how I wanted it and I had a great service. These big name setup shops don't always have time for that.
I believe the standard wheels are 18 inch 8j with an et45 offset, from memory. A 9j will fit though but with a et35 offset, I think. All from memory so I'm sure someone can correct me. I do know that with the car lowered by as much as I have, about 30mm, you can't have the wheels sticking out much more or they will foul on the arch lining.
Apologies for the strobing in the video. I had some camera troubles, but I hope you enjoyed it anyway.

Can you let me know your steering wheel setup pretty please? Tempted to do it on mine but presume I need a resistor kit for the airbag light?

I'm just missing the caster, will add a degree soon.
Yes, I think caster is probably the biggest change you will feel in terms of mid corner grip.
Whats the perfect wheel fitment for these cars

Most guys I know with trackuse are going 9.5x18 ET45.
9x18 ET35 will rub with Semislicks. Especially if you're going with Pirelli Trofeo R's.
Im running 8 x18 ET35 Compomotives, 15mm spacers and lowered 35mm on H&R springs. Theres still plenty clearance in the arches.
