Hello, @fullcustomian, how are you? I don't know if anyone will read this, but it's worth a try! I'm from Brazil, and I believe you know that there is a huge legion of fans of your show here. Unfortunately, the channel that hosted it stopped showing it. And with that, your Brazilian fans were left with no options, until your channel came along. That said, I would like to make two suggestions. The first is that you purchase artificial intelligence translation software, which will allow your videos to gain multiple audio tracks in different languages using your own voice. Mainly in Brazilian Portuguese. And the second is that if you do this, use the term metal master in the titles of your videos, which is the title of your old show here in Brazil. Without a doubt, your channel will gain thousands of subscribers. Believe me. I hope I have contributed in some way! I really like your work. And if possible, send greetings to your Brazilian audience. Thank you!
I started out brazing when I was around 11 years old! A neighborhood Dad showed his son and I how to braze after the forth or fifth time we cracked the frame on his kid's Taco mini bike. He told us "If you guys keep on breaking sh!t, you're going to have to learn to fix it yourself" That was the beginning of a life time of metal work! I haven't brazed in decades! Watching you braze the gas tank brought back fond memories! Thanks!
Hi Jamie and Ian.....Gotta tell ya Sir , it was worth the price of admission to hear the phrase " get the flux off my gas hole " yup....lol lol lol lol😂
👽👽👽👽👽Lots of LOVE from the Peoples Republic Of Illinois! George The GlassMan 👽👽👽👽👽It's all about the art. You guys are the BEST! Ian & Jamie Great work!
Great video as always. My dad was a body man for 43 years. Most of his career was before wire feed welders became a thing so he oxy-acetylene welded nearly every day.most of the time brazing with brass rod.sometimes use steel rod and arc weld the heavy stuff. Brazing has become kind of a lost art form since the evolution of mig and tig welding. I enjoyed watching brazing.i remember watching my dad bull nose a 57 Chevy hood when I was a teenager.amazing stuff
I was taught to think of welding, braising, and soldering as HOW they accomplish the joint. Welding "makes" one piece out of two when you melt the metal. Braising and soldering use a "binding" metal to join the two pieces that remain separate. I had a hard time understanding the concept of how to "read" the colors and that helped me.
I've been watching you and Jamie for a while now and I finally figured it out. You are never going to finish a project. Which is ok with me. I enjoy watching how you do what you do. I also like the way you explain everything you are about to do. I am sometimes in awe of everything you do know and how well you articulate it. I will never ever be giving you any advice on what you are doing or working on. Just be yourselves and I will continue to watch. Thanks for being entertaining. Joe
Great to see you again, big fan , I have watched your program on TV at least three times each. I wish you continuing success and good health, God Bless you and your wife. Welcome to you tube and your genius!
I do a little welding, and even less brazing, but Ive done a LOT of soldering, which is different, but the metalurgy is pretty similar, in that hot metal oxidized rapidly, and flux is used to prevent oxides contaminating your joint. With solder, you can actually see the flux moving contaminants out of the joint and off to to the edge of the joint. In high school, we used to use borax as flux for steel gas welding, Ive used dishwashing liquid for soldering, and it worked remarkably well, and cleaned up easy, but not as well as rosin flux.
Was just watching show and was laughing with Jamie on the gas hole. So I'm thinking the outlet to carb will be another gas hole , now you have gas hole in and gas hole out. Keep up great work. I don't care if you finish one project before you start the next . Know as much as you change things you need a mind break. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
My shop teacher would be livid seeing you using a cutting head to weld/braze. One bump on the handle and there would be a hole! But we enjoy you doing you.
@fullcustomIan when I was just a we lad I went to trade school to learn autobody. We used to braze quarter panels using brass. In order to not warp panels we used a substance like oatmeal to put on both sides of the weld. Pick holes in the "oatmeal^ the holes would send up geysers of steam. Oh the good old days. Today brought back memories long ago forgotten.
You should have a custom sign made that says gassholes here with the arrow pointing down, and put it on the shop wall.. that would be a great conversation piece
Nice. You can put a little grease on your drill bits or step bits when drilling in an area where the shavings can fall into. Helps the shavings to stick to the bits... Or taps too. Like the gas tank or the infamous heli coil install into a spark plug hole. Or??? Git er done ❤️🇺🇸✌️

You guys make me smile! (which is not easy in this crazy world) Jamie I like your music, I closed my eyes and I was at the burn again.

Miss Jamie's laughter about the "gas hole" moniker is infectious. 😂
I love to laugh at silly stuff. Glad you enjoyed it. ~. Jamie
@fullcustomIan I pretty much enjoy all of y'all's videos.
Glad to see you back on the trike. Cold here in the East Coast this is much needed inspiration. Also, the suspense has been killing me.
I ordered the new coffee cup and received it. TY for your show and all you both do.
Ian is living the American dream. I will work when I want, on what I want and gosh darn it It will be awesome/amazing! Keep on keeping on my man!

Love the brazing class thanks Ian and Jamie 👍
Nice so full of niceness Ian keep it up...
I don’t know how other’s feel but I enjoy you moving from project to project keeps me interested
Just so you know I also use my cutting torch for everything from cutting to soldering.
I look forward to every video, thank you and Jamie !!
That is awesome!
Great video as always.

Jamie's laugh is infectious 😍 Ian fluxed the gas hole 😁
Jamie's the greatest the way she was laughing about the gas hole was funny as hell thanks for the great content as always.
We had so much fun making this episode!

Fun Time Thanks!!!
You bet, glad you are enjoying it!
I'm sure glad I tuned into tuned in Today!!
Professor Ian gave a lecture on Solder-ising The Gas Hole.
🤣😂🤣😂
Ian, Like a surgeon! Another great teaching moment.
Happy Aloha Friday guys have a blessed day 🤙🏾
Same to you
Loving it, gas hole
I was born with my own gas hole and it’s a beaut.
I did not even know how flux welding worked. Thanks for sharing your knowledge Ian.
Nice work Ian and Jamie, amazing gas hole 😂😂
Non-eutectic welding involves joining metal without melting the base metal. Like steel joined with bronze. Brazing. How's that for nurdie!
Learned a lot with this episode. Thanks for doing what you do so well. Steve from Arizona salutes you both!
Excellent guys happy Friday cheers 🥂 😊😊
Mad skills with that cutting torch. I wouldn't have even tried!
If you can try silver solder. 🆒😎👍🏻
Learned something new...good video! Joe
Great brazing lesson
Gashole, hilarious! Going to use it a lot today, appropriately of course!
Don’t care too much about the trike project but did enjoy the lesson on gas welding.👍
That's some pretty impressive welding with a cutting torch
Thank you for sharing.🛸👽👍
What a gas hole! Ian went to town drilling it, reaming it, lighting it on fire and braising it!😱🙀🤪🤣😂

Braising and soldering use a "binding" metal to join the two pieces that remain separate. I had a hard time understanding the concept of how to "read" the colors and that helped me.
Yes welding is a fusion, brazing and soldering a bonding, a mechanical joint.
Jamie love your giggles reminds me of my wife 😊

Educational and interesting. I haven't brased anything in a long time, but I almost forgot it even existed. Thanks for this refresher course.
Great video,I can't wait to see the trike get finally finished.
all about progress......
Hey from Missouri!

Let's go Ian

I like seeing the brazing My Farther used to use to bond dissimilar metals that I still got his torches have to have the Tanks filled..
WOW…,
Ian talks about his shiny sheet & his gas hole.
Staying on topic I see🤠
You are awesome watched you for a long time and don’t ever stop being you
I was on the edge of my seat 😂😂

Happy Anniversary to you two.
Thank you, we appreciate it!

Good to hear!

Your the best 😊😊😊😊
If anyone wants to see more brazing, check out Paul Brodie. He's so cool. He got sick again with the big C. But he's a little scrapper!
Personally..I would've used a flared fitting for the feed of the tank to make it easier but thanks for the brazing tutorial 👍🏽👊🏽
👍👍 I think your UA-cam video format is better than the motor trend Full Custom Garage series. I do miss seeing Victor and the inspectors.
Nice work 🤜🤛
Thank you! Cheers!
Wonderful!! Bravo!!
Glad you're enjoying it.
Love the look
Thanks for sharing with us.
My very first time on the open road when I was a teen was with a Yamaha 196.3 cc 1983. They really should bring back trike ATVs
thanks for all the helpful advice. You're very knowledgeable sir.
Thank you for watching.
My shop teacher would be livid seeing you using a cutting head to weld/braze. One bump on the handle and there would be a hole! But we enjoy you doing you.
Great way to start my Friday morning😊
We hope it makes your day!

Rotate the gas tank to the top side of the upper frame rail, it might stand up Frisco style! Like a diamond standing on point!
That’s a great suggestion, we are still in the early stages of deciding how this will all work out.

Gas hole.
Am going to use it a lot . Oh no we are going to get a lot of fun out of this one. 👈🤣😅👍
Thanks , I owe you a beer 🍻
She was fascinated, except when she fell asleep. 😊
Wow. That’s a big gas hole! Sorry, couldn’t resist
Jamie love your giggles reminds me of my wife 😊
