    Awesome vid as usual. I did the Tankwa in flower season the place go's through a phenomenal transformation from dry desolation to lush green. Its a sight to behold.

    Looked like some enjoyable 4WD tracks in this area. Its facinating how high grounds always changes the perpective of the area you are at. Thanks for sharing.👍

      Very true! i was amazed by the satellite footage of Leeuberg, that it literally looked like a spine!

    I like you videos. Well done. Only one thing, your speeds on some offroad tracks and gravel roads are just too fast. Just my opinion. You trust your suspension too much.

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  2 роки тому +3

      I do trust my suspension 😂 And usually I drove forwards and reversed back, so I kind of know which speed is appropriate for the terrain. Sometimes I want the footage to feel a certain way and then the speed can help tell the story, like if there is dust trailing behind the car it makes it feeel different to if I’m crawling slowly over rocks etc.

    • @sandyhowes9842
      @sandyhowes9842 2 роки тому +1

      Always good to trust your vehicle am sure that's why he was doing that speed. On a dusty road it would seem like you are going fast yet you only doing 70 kms an hour 🙏

    Is it possible to do the tankwa park in an AWD, obviously avoiding the 4x4 trails but still travelling through the park?

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  2 роки тому

      Yes for sure; I mean mainly a high ground clearance vehicle is all you need 👏🏻

    Nice travels. I wish I was there. I was wondering if you had side walls which can connect to your awning for those harsh elements when camping?

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  2 роки тому +1

      I have ordered them and will have for the future 🤟🏻

    Hi, what Garmin / Tablet are you using for your TFA ?

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Craig, it’s called the Garmin Tread XL Overland edition, it has InReach Satellite communication built in as well, it’s very nice! 👌🏻

    Question Adrian, was there a wild dog or some species of fox in the video? I hope you and your uncle Andy are doing well on your trip.

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  2 роки тому +1

      Hey John! Yup that is a black backed jackal! Very common all over the country

      @@RoamOverlanding awesome. The springbok remind me of white tailed deer here in Illinois. A big buck would be about 100 kgs/220 lbs roughly.

    Can you just pull over and camp anywhere there? Or does it have to be at designated camp spots?

    • @RoamOverlanding
      @RoamOverlanding  2 роки тому

      It definitely has designated spots; it’s not a very big park so easy to get around to the camps etc
