@@explorer806 David Brent is so childlike he's actually really enjoying the video. He comes across as so arrogant but loveable in this episode. He's like a school student that wants to run the class
I used to work for a company where we had all day trainings like these. They were a complete waste of time and didn’t do anyone any good at their jobs or elsewhere. The stuff that goes on in this episode was pretty close to what we had to endure, from having to leave voice mail messages that we’d be out of the office to going to another floor of the building where we worked to do the training, to the trainer that had us do meaningless exercises that filled up our day. One time, I was sent to a day long training course at another location on time management, but even the instructor admitted that the workplace had become so chaotic that time management was ineffective and that it was important to make plans to do something with your life that you really wanted to do. The corporate workplace really, really sucks.
Love Ricky's face at 0.04 .... unimpressed with the cheesy 80s video is an understatement. That face says "I didn't know the world of work was going to be like going back to early secondary school, there's got to be better than this"
Who's plays the receptionist in the training video? I've been convinced for years that it's Kim Metcalf who played the second incarnation of 'Sam Mitchell' in Eastenders
Is it just me, or is the optician at 2:30 actually the same guy who plays one of the Office employees? I think he's sitting on the far left in the circle 😂
Love the way David nods along sagely with the video, as if it's confirming his own wisdom for everyone else's benefit.
Coming at it from a different angle
It's actually quite sweet how he cares.
racial... so
Ha ha ha very good .... very good
I used to have to sit through rubbish like this in the 90s at HSBC
The intro music is outstanding ❤😂
I love the music. Proper 80s!
I miss the synth
As I recall, training videos in the 90s really did look and sound like they were made in the 80s right down to the visuals and music.
Sounds like Genesis from the 80s.
I like the music when he's burning the cash. BWIP BWOP BWIP BWOP BWIP
Reminds me of the "Protect and Survive" jingle 😱

That's not real cash!
@@brianrodriguez8282 How do you know?
@@TranscendentLion David Brent said it, I believe it, and that settles it.
Thank you, Mr. Noakes!
I’ll report him when I’m walking home.
If you have enough stamps you can get a taxi 😂

One of the great underrated lines from the whole of the Office 👍🏼
This was the funniest thing about that episode, cracks me up every time.
I worked at a company years back which had this slogan, made me think of this vid every single time lmao.
"That's right, the customer"
When I worked at a supermarket many years ago we watched a training video starring a young Ross Kemp, who was very happy to help out customers!
Saw you looking....yeah it's really me 🤣

Nowadays it's not even that, they just plonk you in front of a computer and you're made to do endless multiple choice quizzes.
You should have gone home and got your guitar.

Gareth Keenon's thinking face is incredible

He got something out of it in the end though, got one over on Finchy XD
Is the complete version available anywhere? They must have made the whole thing. I'm itching to see 'The Customer Care Tree'..

We’ve all had to sit through at least one of these
This is so like many staff training videos i have seen in the past.
yeah, oh yeah. oh really???
You know and I said to him
I can't tell if this was done for the TV show or if it's a real training film! 🤣
It was made for The Office.
I want a copy of this to troll my team

She is Lucy O'connel.
2:09 - By her tone of voice you could tell she’d rather be somewhere else
Jesus christ I've had to sit through 8 hours of shit like this one day for an awful company with wankers as managers. 8 hours of how to pick up a box
A fake documentary filmed for a fake documentary. Wow.. that would make Nalan proud
The video Is just so realistic
I think there's something wrong with me. Randomly I'll just get the way the lady says "oH yEaH, OH rEAlLy!?" while on the phone stuck in my head.
"I'm proud of me"

My children are gonna see those!!
Looks like it might be him, but not sure.
Those bloody corporate videos.
Blame John Cleese.
Austin Rover actually made a training video in 1985 starring John Thaw called _Who Cares Wins_ - it's here on YT...corny as Hell!
Wasn’t this Peter Purves on Classic Doctor Who?
Yes
The dreaded role play
Is Peter Purves dying his hair?
Hilarious
Two lesbians probably, sisters. I’m just watching.
“Can I hear more from Gareth please.”
