The inclusion of the legendary Wilhelm scream makes this trailer so much more amazing ahahah. That being said, I love the range of instruments shown here! Lots of great unique percussive sounds :)
The wake up of the company with this collection is just amazing… A lot of people complain in the past … Now they just have to say thank you … The work made for this collection is crazy !! And this New concept with vidéo and little Movie for thé contact is just the Best answer !!! Do we gonna havé other instrument in this collection ??? Thank you !!! 🙏👍🙏👍🙏👍
With the relatively small amount of instruments in other sections, I wasn't expecting to see such a large amount of beautifully sampled drums for such a low price! There's some very unique instruments here that make me feel really inspired. That snare ensemble is also the most punchy snare patch that I've come across. Great job!
Another stunning library from EastWest. And the way this is presented and explained in this video is extremely helpful. Thanks, Ryan! (Stunning composition by the way!)
And just to keep things into perspective, this is how humans used to settle disputes and or indifferences. Put some armor on grab some pointy sticks or sharpened swords, line up, scream at each other, then run towards one another hacking and carving wildly. The side left standing was the right one. Sheeesh! How did we ever make it this far as a species? And... this library was a game changer for me... just know the price is worth it.
Hi, Super cool video. I am interested in a yearly subscription in your products, however, beside that I have a question about the midi/piano you use. Now I use a Kawai DG30 grand piano that has weighted and super sensitive actions which may not be the right choice for writing orchestra and do percussion. Hitting the keys so aggressively but even if I do the hammer reactions of the kawai, that are made for playing piano, don't react that much in a aggressive/volume, kind of way - Maybe you know what I mean...I see you use the Nectar 88+ keyboard for composing orchestra. My question is, would it be a better choice to buy this keyboard for my work as a composer and using the fantasy programs you show in this video? Are the attacks from the keys, to get these aggressive sounding drums, come out better than with my DG30 Kawai piano? Next to that, I don't have a CC midi controller and wondering if the sliders work to control the dynamics and volume like these expensive CC modules do! Should I get a power supply so it is not powered or taking power from my computer? And do you use a sustain pedal when composing orchestra and drums or even when play piano? I know my questions are not direct related to the East West products, however, I hope you can help me so I can make better music using the east west products. Thanks in advance
A question for Ryan: Regarding the Fantasy series libraries, Do you route the internal mics to seperate outputs in your DAW? Or are you happy to adjust the mic mix within OPUS instance and send out on one audio stereo output? Just curious - many thanks
Hi there, I don't do any external mic routing. Everything is just done in the Opus player. I try to keep my routing/workflow as simple as possible, so it's just one instrument per instance of Opus, with a few layers of busses for mixing/mastering.
I always find your walks through very instructive and helpful to find out how the new instruments can be used without getting overwhelmed by their number. In this one you added hints about issues I'd like you to develop a bit more, perhaps in short videos. I never go to MIX part of Opus, working only with Space II under Logic. So you made me discover Legend Amp. But why that one? What are the other possibilities? Even under Logic, it never occured to me to use a pitch shifter to double a voice (usually I copy and shift my celli part on bass part). And I never used a ping pong delay on acoustic instruments. If you can tell us more on all these tricks I would find that very useful.
The Theme Of Medieval Times Is Just Awesome And The New Hollywood Fantasy Percussion Library Does It Justice..If I Had A Chance To Pick What Era I Would Love To Live In,Those Would Be The Days In Medieval Times..Love The Movie 300.. I Think I'm Reincarnation From Those Days...LOL
Will the Fantasy Orchestrator be different from the OPUS Orchestrator? I already have OPUS, so is getting the Fantasy Orchestrator necessary, or is it only necessary for those that get Fantasy Orchestra but don't have OPUS?
Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator will be different than Hollywood Orchestrator. It will come with a whole new suite of presets geared towards the fantasy genre and instrumentation.
Could Hollywood Fantasy Percussion be used in other types of fantasy movies? I hope that someone from EastWest Sounds reads this and responds. I appreciate your content. Thanks.
Yes of course. We built these collections specifically for fantasy films and games but you can use it in any genre. It makes a fantastic companion to Hollywood Percussion as well.
Ryan - what Reverb are you using on this piece? I don't see it turned on in your Opus instruments so I'm assuming you're routing through something in SPACES II in Logic...? The ambience in your pieces is always great.
Hi Scott, thanks for the kind words. And yes, virtually all the EW instruments I'm using are being sent to various reverbs from Spaces II--mostly the S. Cal. Hall instrument specific IR's. If you want to know more about how they're routed, check out the first video in the EW Academy series. I also go over specific IR's in some of the earlier Scoring with Opus videos (I do that near the very end of the videos usually). Cheers.
Hello everyone, I have a quick question, I'm interested in composing J-POP or K-POP music, would you recommend a category of sounds provided by EW? Thank you in advance !
As a Bodhran player, I felt like there was a missed opportunity to do pitch bends/pitch variation with the Bodhran patches. Overall though, I love samples.
Amazing! Are there any MIDI loops/phrases? I can't keep a rhythm to save my life XD. Either way excellent job, can't wait to play with all of my new toys!
Just wait until you use Hollywood Fantasy Percussion with Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator. There's a whole universe of possibilities there in terms of percussion preset phrases.
Love the Wilhelm scream in the intro cinematic lol
That’s what made it an award-winning trailer for me
I heard it immediately too lol.
many people use this term in this video. Please explain what is a wilhelm scream? at what time in the video it is heard?
I wish one day EW to make a sound designing library soon!!!!Like Wooshes booms etc!!!🙏🙏
The inclusion of the legendary Wilhelm scream makes this trailer so much more amazing ahahah.
That being said, I love the range of instruments shown here! Lots of great unique percussive sounds :)
Masterpiece! We have a winner here! The whole Fantasy series is the top of the top in every regard.
it's finally here!
Shall we expect Hollywood Fantasy Choirs in near future?
Hollywood Fantasy Voices (solo voices + choirs) is coming soon! Projected release date is August 31st.
Very nice collection of sounds. Love the trailer music. Great work, Ryan!
Yeah, more new goodies! I got my EWCC subscription a month or 2 ago and am so happy with it, and now already new stuff. Amazing!
Really neat to see all the ensemble patches of instruments that are usually sampled alone (all across the fantasy library). Useful!
Amazing sounds and programming! Doesn’t sound like MIDI! Can’t wait to try it!
YAAASSSSSSSS I've been waiting for this library! Now I can finish my song :D

Love this library, in my home soon, maybe update Hollywood with Ra Silk etc?
I can't agree enough with this! Those libraries are a bit dated now. Ethnic libraries with the quality of Fantasy Orchestra would be phenomenal

Yes exactly what we need right now!
Absolutely love this new fantasy orchestra library! Composer Cloud one more year, check!

Where does this beautiful voice phrase at 19:25 coming from ? an EW library ?
From our upcoming Hollywood Fantasy Voices release.
Do you plan to build a bookshop for an organ?
Great work ! Ireally enjoyed this.
Friggin unbelievable
Me estoy enamorando de esta libreria. Es compatible con FL Studio?
Si!
Gonna have to get this! Amazing work
This would be nice. Will definitely get this collection later.

I am loving composer cloud, but how about a Latin library?
Bravissimo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👋👋👋👋👋👋
Beautifull sounds, as usual :) hope to get some specific stuff in orchestrator relative to this Fantasy journey
Hollywood Fantasy Orchestrator coming this October!
@@EWQLTutorials Can't wait to hear all the Orchestrator action mystery fantasy presets in Octobre!!! AWESOME !!!!!!!
This walkthrough makes me want to buy this thing. It's also has an affordable price compared to the super expensive Damage 2 for example.

Can you share what future releases lie in wait for us beyond the Fantasy series? I'm really excited about all this new stuff!
We’ve got tons of great stuff in production, stay tuned for more announcements.

Just wondering. Where does the footage of the intro clip come from? Is it the East West staff filmed on their weekend cosplay adventures?
Eastwest is on fire 😊

Could Hollywood Fantasy Percussion be used in other types of fantasy movies? I hope that someone from EastWest Sounds reads this and responds. I appreciate your content. Thanks.
I'm not from EastWest, but you can use the library in any way you want!
