How do you keep your creative space set up? What inspires you?
Oh man, my space is 8x10ft and dedicated to making 3d collectible character sculptures. Every wall and surface needs to be functional.
Aside from the Knick knacks and books that fuel me there isn’t much room for extra stuff. But I’m super privileged to be living this creative lifestyle with the rest of you!
I don't. It is a mess.
What meaning _“set up”_ is? If I can smell neither urine, nor faeces, I’m good.
Also, I think you’re conflating _“inspiration”_ with _“crippling substance abuse problem.”_
Been working on it all my life. It moves and evolves constantly. Then I watch this and want to do it all over again.
I like multiple little drawers and stacking.. but it feels like it(the room) gets messy quick anyway :'D
after a tour with Mr Draplin, you always end up wanting to dedicate the rest of your life to creativity and printing
THIS
So inspiring ❤
Omg! This guy is my new creative hero! His passion is off the charts! I love that he keeps his inspirational talismans. Please do a creativity inspiration podcast! Your energy is magic.

This is the most excited I’ve been for a UA-cam video in a looooong time, and I waste a lot of time here.
It’s not wasting time if you’re learning sumthing! lol. Time well spent!😊

I absolutely adore him! He seems like such a great guy and fun to be around. And gives the best advice/tutorials. Even the Field Notes advertisement was on the longer side and super interesting. He is seriously the best! ❤
I love Aaron so much. His joy and love for design is exactly the spirit that I try to convey in what I create and in life! Oh, and I definitely need that Dinossaur Jr. poster. 😍

Before my Grandfather died he gave me 3 books from the 1950's, they're Commercail art manuals of the design trends for the 1930's, 40's and 50's. beautiful books, they give me a lot of ideas when I'm working on a new design.
That Vita Ferm hat! Sold one just like that on Ebay years ago when I picked up a several tubs of vintage farm/ranch hats...man, there was some fantastic lids in there! Thanks as always for inspiring and fueling passion.
I have his book, he is so full of passion. It really shows. It makes me rethink what I want to do

It’s like when I first saw his OG Skillshare video I was learning design and I took that and learned how to create concepts efficiently and now I can learn how to create my space and why that’s valuable. Draplin been there for so many of us in all our stages of being creatives. Great stuff
Love this guy, what a fantastic human.
Just found a new person to be obsessed w/ lmao. This guys energy is infectious and the way he speaks about his space / archive shows how much he cares.
I met Draplin once and he's the absolute best. He also has possibly the biggest hands i've ever seen.

Being able to have a studio like this is a Mega Goal of mine!! Aaron is the goat
This guy is a hero of mine. It was a privilege to have classes by him over Skillshare, I've learned a lot!
DUDE!!!! I luv your studio! You space is kick butt!
I was without adequate dedicated studio space for years and FINALLY got studio space last year. It's literally 35-40' from my apartment. I adore being able to just run home (or to my studios) in less than 45 seconds. My "commute" is insanely easy. I don't have to drive to/from the studio, worry about traffic, parking, gas or getting there on time.
I so luv all your "flat file" cabinets and how organized they [you] are!
I did a triple take when you pulled the drawer of oil sticks or markers then smelled them as if you remove a pan of cookies from the oven. LMAO!!!
Aaron you're art kool dude I would totally hang with.
Congrats on your space!
Wowwwww
Your creativity and organization is incredible
I Love this man....inspirational
Ridiculously inspirational as always.
Wish I had friends like this guy
You are my inspiration!
If True Passion was a Person! DRAPLIN IS IT!!

This is gold. Made my day. Thank You!
Glad to hear it 💚
Best studio tour on the planet
Thankings eternus Mr. Aaron Draplin.
the legend, the myth
This is the most amazing and inspiring studio ever. It feels like a place that was established generations ago and holds this energy of creativity in every inch of that place. I always personally feel the need to get rid of my pens, markers and supplies because I feel I don't respectfully use all of it often but, maybe I don't have too seeing this video.
Tech Deck...respect
I've always found inspiration from Aaron Draplin and this is at just the right time for a workspace reorganization! It's time to get the toys off the desk and onto a shelf that's still close by.
Thoroughly enjoyed! Have not regretted keeping all my steel drawers...
What a great hooman
such a goat of our time lmaoo
Many moons ago, I caught onto Aaron and his approach to design and life. To say it completely changed my own life and execution as an artist / designer (whatever) is an understatement. I read his book till the spine wore out when it was released. I've gotten to meet him before and he is super cool and super genuine. Keep it going, Aaaron! Thanks for the inspiration.
Everything about this feels on brand for DDC. Man that record collection - unreal.
Aaron is the best. Love this BTS tour.
Best studio owner and best studio tour I've seen in years. I love you AD! So inpiring. You're the Jack Black of graphic design.
Such a dope studio. ❤
this dude is a fuckn vibe
This was really cool to see. I like that you surround yourself with things that YOU like and things that inspire you. I have a bunch of “junk” that makes me happy and serves as inspiration as well.
Organized hoarding ✨
😂 exactly
The evolution of Apple Displays in each office iteration is amazing.
the best!
He is 😮💨
I have never heard of this guy
“With all do offense to Microsoft” 😂😂😂
I love his book!!
Aaron is a legend, great video!!!!
When are you doing a subscription box??? That would be awesome from you guys!
