Fun Fact: One of many hints towards the "It's not live" twist is how the items you see Amanda pick up around the house are displayed around the workshop during Eric and John's game.
Amanda isn't really a copycat, she's John's disciple and he's training her to replace him when he dies. From 3 onwards the traps start getting really gory and the cop plot starts getting really complex and interesting. Can't wait for the next ones!
The fact that the son was in the safe the whole time and John LITERALLY TOLD HIM that he could just wait and he would find his son in a SAFE and secure state…one of the best plot twists in movie history
Still think the first movie twist is better, but this twist actually makes me listen and analyze anything Jigsaw with his apprentices say in case it is a clue.
Funny thing is that Billy originally didn’t even have a name. He was just a puppet. He was given the name by fans after the first movie blew up and then everyone just stuck with it since. Even eventually lionsgate and the film makers themselves went with it
Tobin bell has said this is his favorite saw because he actually gets to act in the saw movies for the first time (besides laying down as the did in most of the first one)
36:54 the arm trap is one of the easier ones to survive. The problem is, by this point in the game, she’s been exposed to so much of that nerve gas, she’s not thinking clearly, and just thinking on the impulse of “get the cure”. She could’ve put just one arm in, and used the other to hold the blades back. She didn’t need to put both arms in or even sacrifice an arm, but again she’s delulu by this point due to the nerve gas
If my memory serves me correctly, I believe in a behind the scenes it showed that there were tubes that only one arm could fit through and that the razors were not able to be seen by the participant. Then again it wasn’t the trap meant for Addison so maybe she could have made it work. She was supposed to have the waffle iron trap but they weren’t able to film it. The tubes briefly shows on screen but I missed it as well and always thought the same as you until the behind the scenes. During her scene you see a lock with the key in it at the top center of the screen. Thats her way out. If she walked around the box, she would’ve gotten out.
Exactly. It really bugs me when when reactors (not these guys; other channels) are so hard on Addison. Like they are all coughing up blood and barely able to walk! Do you really expect her to be able to think clearly??
Amanda being thrown in the needle pit shows a crucial difference between the two Jigsaws: she briefly lost control of her first game, while John has perfectly executed every game so far 📝👀
Ehh, if Amanda getting tossed in the pit is her losing control of the game, then Police Guy beating up John that bad in this counts as him losing control too, I'd say. He also lost control of his game in SAW10 (the only example I can recall off the top), so he hasn't been infallible. They're both great at jumping back from the unforeseeable quickly though, neither letting those things keep them back from finishing up the games. Give my girl Amanda some credit lol
@@tiffanym7615 some of us havent seen all the series so careful about spoilers! 😂 i thought about John getting beat up but that was incorporated into the game as a possible/likely outcome; Amanda getting forced into a trap was just an unnecessary and unanticipated injury... though it WAS Amanda's first game, she also had John's assistance, so on balance her error stands out And thats good! What is funny is Amanda knew where the key was, she knew roughly which location the key would be in since she placed it there herself which is why she got it fairly easily after a few seconds, that was a big hint to her being the mastermind like nobody without prior knowledge would be able to get the key that far down if they didn't know the spot to dig through.
Which shows that she didn't intend for anyone to leave at that stage, nobody in a minute would be able to get the key, but she does, luckily her plan succeeds she probably slowed down herself so that he wouldn't reach the door in time.
tobin bell as john kramer is so chillingly charismatic; his whole "there will be blood" monologue lives in my head rent-free at this point. for how widely known saw is as a franchise, jigsaw always strikes me as a criminally underrated villain - he's fascinating.
Tobin and Shawnee took these roles quite seriously. They would go to lunch together often, discussing the characters and their histories, prepping their performances.
First time i saw Tobin was in Stargate SG-1 where he called the humans "inferior." Hearing him later use that at another character in the SAW franchise was chilling
Fun Fact 2: Though Addison falls for it, the Hand Trap was in fact made for Gus. The guy that was shot early on. The tape would have hinted at how Gus was known for embezzling money from his company so he would have to reach into box for the key hanging inside to get free. Also in the workshop when Kerry is getting the idea of threatening to destroy John's work, you can see a sketch of the hand trap hanging behind her.
And the best thing is, the outside lid of the trap had the key already in the lock. All the person that came in the room needed to do was walk around the case and would see it on the other side. Addison did what Jigsaw figured most would- go right for the case without stopping to inspect everything beforehand. That antidote was a freebie.
Fun fact: The syringes in the needle pit were real. Partially. The syringes themselves were real, full, syringes, so all of the needles had to be removed and replaced with silicone tips. I can't imagine how long that took, and would be terrified to dig around in them like that, in case the production crew forgot to replace a few.
I saw a behind the scenes one time that said they had a team switching those needle tips out. Had an original number in mind but that it was just too much to fill the pit so alot went without tips lol
If I remember correctly they did actually end up dropping some real syringes accidentally into the pit of over 100,000 they had painstakingly swapped out right before filming! the crew had to go through the entire pit again carefully to make sure all of the real ones had been removed
@@DarthKay093the one thing that made this scene so much worse is that they're also supposed to be used needles, which I didn't realize when I watched it the first time.
I was 13 when this came out, my buddy and I snuck into a packed theater- and to this day it was the single best theater experience I’ve ever had- the entire audiences mouth dropped and you could hear a pin drop- NO ONE expected it. I’ve been chasing that high since for a movie
In my opinion: SAW 1 - original film of its time. New concept and everything. SAW 2 - one of my favorite sequels after the first movie. SAW 3 - maybe should’ve ended after. SAW X - most surprising well received film.
Fun Fact 6: In John's flashback, there was originally a scene where after chemo, John would decide to go Heisenberg and shave his head. But they never got around to it and saved it for a prequel comic where he meets Zepp.
One of my favourite SAW movies ever and I love Amanda so damn much in this. One hint she was on team-Jigsaw is that she showed no symptoms of the nerve gas and that she was in a similar position on the floor like how John was in the first. Daniel had to survive since 1. he was bait 2. innocent
My personal theory is that Amanda was there to keep a close watch on the game, and to make sure Daniel lived. If Daniel died that would make Eric's game useless.
Saw 2 never started as saw 2, after the success of the first the producers took a script from another movie trilogy that the writer of saws came up with, that’s where we get saw 2,3,4, and 5. It’s not a horror franchise it’s the greatest soap opera ever😂
26:55 Funny thing about this game. All of those needles are actual needles that they changed the tips to be rubber so it wouldn't actually hurt anyone. However, during shooting they realised a couple of the tips weren't changed and they had to go through the entire pit to see if all 120,000+ needles were rubber again
One thing I loved about this movie was that it gave us more Tobin Bell and truly allowed us to get a peek inside John's mind. Even when you're not physically playing a game, you're more than likely playing a game if you're around him. It's just a matter of realizing it before it's too late. You wouldn't want it to be revealed that you've been getting played from the very beginning. After all, "he's in a safe place"
Donnie Wahlberg is in The Sixth Sense. He changed so much for that small role I didn't even recognize him when I saw it originally. I believe that was his first acting role. He was famous before that and before Mark from the boy band New Kids on the Block, which is still together and I was a fan of. 😁
also I think you guys didn't recognize him, but the actor playing Daniel was also in Scream 4, he was the Randy-replacement with that camera attached to his head
People think the Saw movies are all about the gore and violence, but they have an amazing story that a lot of people don't get to enjoy because they can't get past all the gore. I feel sorry for those people.
You guys not knowing who Donnie Walhberg is was mind blowing but again, I’m old. He was in a boy band in the 80/90s called New Kids on The Block. Dude used to be a boy band pop star. Lol

The whole point of this was John was trying to recruit Eric. Turn him into a believer, that is what John’s “sit here and listen to me” conversation was about.
The main reason why Eric is divorced is because he was sleeping around with Kerry, who was also his partner. That is bad enough but the fact that Eric is just a terrible person with a huge anger problem, a chip on his shoulder and… he’s a corrupt police officer. The divorce also caused a rift between father and son. Eric is just overall crappy person in general. Despite his flaws, he DOES genuinely and truly loves his son. I just hate that Daniel had to pay the price because of his father’s bullshit and got caught into something he shouldn’t have.
Just got off work...third saturday evening in a row and had no idea what to watch...you always have the most perfect timing with the uploads...you had with saw 1 too😂
The first two are the best. One two and three make a solid trilogy of films. But three is when it starts to dive into what it would later be known for and after that the franchise is just in a blender from then on.
That’s Donnie Wahlberg. He’s actually surprised me as he was in a boy band in the 80’s called New Kids On The Block. He was also in a very good movie called Sixth Sense. If you haven’t watched it I will not spoil it
@@RaggedyPackhe is the older brother to Mark and was in the 80s boy band New Kids on The Block before acting in 96 his first two films being Bullet with 2Pac, and Ransom with staring Mel Gibson. Mark would start his music career after his brother but would start acting before him.
What's clever about jigsaw is you really need to listen to what he says to figure out the twist at the end, IE Stay here long enough you will see your son again He's in a "safe" place
fun fact: the first saw was written to be a solo film, then it was only supposed 3, then 7, then 9 and now we have saw x and saw 11 & 12 have been confirmed
2 of my favorite Donnie movies, if y'all haven't seen them is... Sixth Sense n Dreamcatcher cuz he's so unrecognizable! Didn't even know it was him til the credits rolled in Dreamcatcher.😂
There are in fact multiple Wahlberg siblings. Mark, Donnie and Paul co-own the Wahlburger franchise and I believe there is a reality show of the same name, Robert is an actor, Donnie is an actor but also a member of New Kids on the Block and married to Jenny McCarthy. Donnie tends to do a lot of crime/law-centric roles.
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch! (That's Mark Wahlberg's singing group if you didn't know). Donnie was a member of New Kids On The Block (and Mark for about a year too). Donnie is great in The Sixth Sense and Dreamcatcher as well.
I know everybody already mentioned the Mark/Donnie Wahlberg thing but the part about "Mark Wahlberg has more hair" is hilarious to me because Donnie was in New Kids On The Block and you should his hair back in the day lol
When this came out, I was like 5/6 and went to see chicken little but my mom walked us into Saw 2 by accident during the needle bed scene and well, that was something to see at 6 years old.
The reason they did it that way with John kramer jigsaw is because the saw films were only supposed to be a TRILOGY that’s why John was supposed to die but then they decided to extend them
Hey, dudes!!! Saw series is literally my husband's favorite horror series. We own them all. If you guys like the first two, you're gonna dig the 3rd one. If you guys hang in there, a lot of these questions you're already asking will get answered. If you don't take the series too seriously and try to take them apart too bad, it's a fun ride. I don't want to spoil anything so that's all I'll say. Sorry for the late comment, been enjoying the festivities today. 🤘
I swear this is the movie that started all the escape rooms to pop up in the U.S.A…FYI Donnie Walberg is Mark Walbergs older brother in real life. He was a member of New Kids on the Block the boy band of my time!
Fun fact: Donnie’s son Daniel played the person limping towards the mask guy to have a quirky henchman moment. It got explained in universe that that was Dr. Gordon later on. Lucky coincidence 😂❤ But I would have easily beat that by finding the stitches and removing the key. 🧵🤷🏽♀️. What goes in must come out right? At least if it is a key 🔑
Crazy part is Marcus was the wildcard. If he wasn't one of the unfortunate people trapped in that house I believe the rest of them would have worked together and possibly gotten out. Obviously Amanda didn't think Marcus would be nuts and had to spend the entire movie making sure Daniel didn't die or the entire game would have been for nothing. I think Jigsaw realized that there was no saving Eric at the end which is why he took him to the house. You can't say he didn't try 🤷🏿♂️. But that's how it goes in these Saw movies. The man literally says I want to play a game. And instead of thinking rationally people just freak out and end up losing.
i used a Jigsaw AI to replicate the voicemail message for my phone. Never told anyone either and one day randomly set it up. Freaked my nan out when she called and heard Jigsaw's voice.
Alright, time for this one, excited 😂 I love Donnie Whalberg so much 😂 he's in one of my favourite movies, Dead Silence. As well as being a member of New Kids on The Block 😂
1st off, love the Chiefs rep! 2nd, amazing movie & i love the whole ending reveal with the time delay, if I hadn't watched the film prior, i would've been just as shocked as well. However, adding Amanda into the games made it predictable she was a "part of" it. Having her reveal herself at the end would've had me guessing "wait, do i know her?" Overall great movie, they almost had me!
Saw 2 has always been my favorite from the series love the ending! From here the traps and gore go up lol and story gets wild. But I think you guys will have fun!
Fun Fact 5: Prior to Saw 2, Obi had also played before during Saw the Game where a Survivor had to endure John's game in an abandoned Asylum. Also his death in the furnace was more of a result of the heat in his lungs from screaming.
Glad to see these. Not too many people really give Saw a chance. They hear what others said and decide to just skip it. They are worth watching! Some better than others but none of them outright bad. And the 10th is one of my favorites. Have Subtitles for that one. Unless you know fluent Spanish

The first two are the best. One two and three make a solid trilogy of films. But three is when it starts to dive into what it would later be known for and after that the franchise is just in a blender from then on.
I love watching people watch this series for the first time
That’s Donnie Wahlberg. He’s actually surprised me as he was in a boy band in the 80’s called New Kids On The Block. He was also in a very good movie called Sixth Sense. If you haven’t watched it I will not spoil it
That’s Donnie Walberg, fellas 😂
That’s why he reminds you of Mark
Yeah we figured that out 😂
@@RaggedyPackhe is the older brother to Mark and was in the 80s boy band New Kids on The Block before acting in 96 his first two films being Bullet with 2Pac, and Ransom with staring Mel Gibson. Mark would start his music career after his brother but would start acting before him.
What's clever about jigsaw is you really need to listen to what he says to figure out the twist at the end, IE
Stay here long enough you will see your son again
He's in a "safe" place
fun fact: the first saw was written to be a solo film, then it was only supposed 3, then 7, then 9 and now we have saw x and saw 11 & 12 have been confirmed
I love seeing you guys fall in love with the saw movies! Even tho they make me gag, I’ve just become obsessed with them! And reactions! ❤
If you didnt know there were 10 SAW movies you'd be less likely to guess Amanda was in on it to keep the thing going.
2 of my favorite Donnie movies, if y'all haven't seen them is... Sixth Sense n Dreamcatcher cuz he's so unrecognizable! Didn't even know it was him til the credits rolled in Dreamcatcher.😂
Saw 2. Yes please. So excited to continue this Saw journey with you guys. Got a ways to go. So hope you guys enjoy these! ❤❤❤❤
The more you guys go deep, the gruesome the traps are.. So goodluck and I enjoyed watchinh you guys react to it! ❤️
The Amanda surprise shocked me. I had no idea.
I appreciate the epilepsy flashing warning. I have vertigo very bad, and lights are a huge trigger for me. Thank boys. Great reaction ❤
I love how no one confirmed that it was Donnie until the end of the movie lmfao.
The son is Robbie Mercer from Scream 4. Only two films I know him from.
The guy who played Jonas was also the homeless man from the day after tomorrow
The Amanda twist was a little too obvious but the "It's not live" twist got me good.
I love how the films makes a cohesive story.
Bros should definitely react to “Late Night with the Devil” and force Blake to tie his hands to his chair the whole time so he has to look 😭
Donnie Walberg was one of the members of "New Kids On The Block", arguably the greatest boy band of all time.
Saw II is my favorite. Great reaction guys. Glad you're digging these so far. 🤙
I swear this is the movie that started all the escape rooms to pop up in the U.S.A…FYI Donnie Walberg is Mark Walbergs older brother in real life. He was a member of New Kids on the Block the boy band of my time!
The death mask was actually a legit fun medieval thing. They thought of loads of fucked up killing and torture methods 😂
Were you guys so spot on about Amanda being jigsaw's partner in part because of playing DBD?
Fun fact: Donnie’s son Daniel played the person limping towards the mask guy to have a quirky henchman moment. It got explained in universe that that was Dr. Gordon later on. Lucky coincidence 😂❤ But I would have easily beat that by finding the stitches and removing the key. 🧵🤷🏽♀️. What goes in must come out right? At least if it is a key 🔑
Donnie is a great actor in my book. I had chills in this and The 6th Sense.
The fact that you guys already figured it out so quickly from the beginning is hilarious to me😂😂😂
Crazy part is Marcus was the wildcard.
And instead of thinking rationally people just freak out and end up losing.
so glad you guys are enjoying this series
i used a Jigsaw AI to replicate the voicemail message for my phone. Never told anyone either and one day randomly set it up. Freaked my nan out when she called and heard Jigsaw's voice.
"Bro, he's cutting such a big chunk [of his neck meat]"
Heck yeh, he can't see it. ...can you imagine if he missed the first time...........?
Alright, time for this one, excited 😂 I love Donnie Whalberg so much 😂 he's in one of my favourite movies, Dead Silence. As well as being a member of New Kids on The Block 😂
You’ll find your son in a “safe” and secure place. Brilliant
Love the glass box trap, everything you need to beat it is on screen
Biggest hint Amanda was working for John was that she never looked sick like her prison mates.
Amanda isn’t necessarily a copycat, she’s a student. A legacy. Jigsaw is her mentor, she’s not just copying him.
Saw 3 is more brutal... literally.
Hes in a safe place 😂
