It would probably be widely heard that Smoker defeated Crocodile, because that is what the government wants everyone to think. This ginger marine is just suspicious of the truth. Also, side-note, I totally thought that the red-head was an undercover pirate or a descendant of a pirate that got robbed by Zenny, hence why he's so cruel to him specifically and so intent on getting his treasure. As a filler enjoyer, that was *my* one big disappointment of this arc. 6:33 : My second favorite one piece movie (so far), yes! This is what I was most excited for you to review in this Saga review. Also, I wouldn't have thought that this happens *during* Jaya, I interpreted this happening either directly after Alabasta, or being between the filler arcs. I *love* Gasparde as a villain, he's so damn cruel and I even like how he tries to extend compliments to Luffy for challenging him so, (And Luffy managing to cut Gasparde even without the flour after Gasparde destroyed the hat was metal af) but Luffy shrugs it all off to call Gasparde a miserable excuse for a pirate and infuriate the former marine. (Also, he resembles a marine in the Enies Lobby arc... it makes me make a connection...) But the real highlight was Needless and Shuraia's battle, no doubt. Shuraia tanking the hits he could take and avoiding the hits he couldn't made for a good back-and-forth against Needless, who was seemingly much faster and stronger than him. And the end bit with there being three Don Krieg wanted posters gives the hilarious implication that they were preparing for if Don Krieg *came back* to the grand line! They know to fear the world's strongest man! 17:00 : God created food, but the devil created spices, after all :) 21:17 : As someone who is watching a version of the dub that still has japanese subtitling, I appreciate you bringing to my attention that this man's name is Jesus. 27:25 : Indeed, I think the main issue is that, like with Baron Butler (Or Battler) in the third movie, the people making the special were stuck between One Piece being a comedy and an action anime, at least in presentation. So their compromise with making their one off villain was to... make them dumb, incompetent, stupid looking, or a combination of the three, in an effort to make them funny. With Gasparde, he was definitively in the role of an action anime villain, with no comedy surrounding him. And with El Duraggo, while he is portrayed as singleminded and a little stupid, he's still treated seriously as a threat. Not because the story yells at us that he's a threat, but because we *see* El Duraggo do some scary shit, like blowing up that castle with his mouth laser. El Duraggo is a villain that has gags. Butler and Bayen(?) are villains that *are* gags. We can't take them seriously even if the story wants us too, because their introduction and most of their subsequent existence is treated as a joke. This is a problem that shows back up in Movie Seven, so watch out for that if you haven't seen it already. 30:27 : Are you okay after that? Now, that may sound silly, but I think it ties into themes of hope, and how Eneru took his time to deliberately toy with the Shandorians to drain them of hope. Giving them a minute to try and kill him, letting Wyper watch Isa's mother(?) gets shocked. These people have had their homeland stolen from them for so long, and they are fighting for a goal that seems impossible. The soul of their people has been robbed from them, and every moment they fight against heavens forces, it seems more impossible to get it back. Maybe it would be better if they laid down and died once Eneru had struck them, they may feel. Determination is also a big theme of One Piece, and its evident that the people's determination is drained rapidly throughout this battle. But when the bell rings, their goal, their history, rings out, hope is able to return to the souls of these people. Their bodies may be burned and beaten, but their goal has been achieved. Shandora is alive, and thus, so are it's people. I definitely think that this surviving asspull is much better than others, as it ties into the themes. @@GigabitGigabyte If someone strongly suspects something they don't "know" it. He also "definitely knew" Zoro would unlock mantra sometime during the fight and he was wrong about that. Confirming a suspicion that isn't certain yet is also spoiling.
@Scented_Shadow blackbeard is a main antagonist, he may not know what he does, but he most certainly knows that he would come back, it isn't a spoiler if it is blatantly obvious

They are suspicions. By confirming someone's suspicion or expectation, you are spoiling. This person is NOWHERE near a point in the story where it's obvious that Blackbeard will be a main antagonist, so good job spoiling that now, too. At most you might expect that he's important, but as a new viewer, at this point, you wouldn't know yet whether this is true, and how it will happen. By confirming that it's true, and now elaborating on it too, you 100% are spoiling, whether you believe it or not.
Would love to see more longer form content, but I'm not a fan of basically rewatching content I've already seen. Gonna stick around to see if I change my mind, but as a newish viewer I wanted to click off the video the second the shorts clips started playing.
