This was helpful. I needed to see about packing "difficult things." Clearly I need to get some bubble wrap!! It amazes me that people will pay that much for shipping. I don't think I would have imagined that and I would have talked myself out of listing something. Yes, the information you are providing is useful. Many people recommend box in a box for breakables and I can see that. I probably would have tried to put the house item in a box in a box. Interesting to see how you did it. I like brown paper also but it definitely adds weight so there's a place for bubble wrap too and I am liking those air pockets and I have a bunch of them!
Constantly learning from you!! Never new about the hazardous material label and probably need to be using those lol also good to know about the crush rate and insurance claim issue. I’d love a video on the claims you’ve made in the past. I recently shipped a cast iron sewing machine. It did not pass the crush test:( but now I know

@@jwatkins0020 they have bins set up around the store while they do stock. I just go in and grab from the bins in the store between 6 and 8 am Monday-Friday.

did they go back to the white tape? the colored tape was a thicker tape.... better quality.
When I ordered, the white tape was all that was available.
I haven’t shipped anything but I think would get nervous sending most things in a poly mailer. They don’t get smooshed?

I look to see what they've sold for in the past on eBay.
