- Solo piano arrangement of Children’s Crusade, a track from Sting’s 1984 solo album The Dream Of The Blue Turtles, a vinyl copy of which is propped up on the piano. The song, a waltz in the key of B minor, is written by Sting and has some great chord changes. I’ve tried to replicate elements of the original arrangement, including the piano part by the late, great Kenny Kirkland and the soprano sax obbligatos by Branford Marsalis.

Beautiful rendition and arrangement.
amazing thank you so much for this!!
Love all the sting/ police covers !
Hermosa canción.
This sounds piano like. On the song the piano/keyboard has a different more angelical sound. Could anybody tell me which effect is used on the piano for the song?
It was probably a bell-like piano voicing on the Yamaha DX7 (which was in Kenny Kirkland’s rig for the accompanying tour) but I think it might be doubled up with a Yamaha electric stage grand. But I prefer an acoustic piano sound!
@@johnnyjazzman amazing! Many thanks for the info! Hell of a tip!! 🙏🙏🙏
I remember when I first started to play. Steinway came down personally and rubbed his name off the piano.
That’s okay. Leo Fender and Paul Reed Smith have both disowned my guitars.
