I just got this for Christmas, and let me be the first to say that it is VERY nice. The sound and overall feel is one just like a real revolver. Excellent gun!
I am dating myself, but I remember seeing replica revolver ads in the back of 1950s magazines that were not fired with CO2, but with percussion caps or .22 blanks which propelled the BBs or pellets. These old magazines also sold US Surplus Jeeps on pallets which had to be constructed from the parts on the pallet. I wish I had been old enough to buy one of each. I believe the magazine may have been Popular Mechanics or Popular Science or both. I own the Uberti Remington revolver that is nickel plated, in .45 long colt. It is superbly accurate 25 yds. @POA. Greetings from across the Pond.
Congratulations on dating yourself! How long have you been together? :) No, but seriously, a 22 blank launching Bb gun sounds like the coolest thing ever, but its pretty much still just a gun lol. They even make 22 sized arrows that you can stick down your barrel and shoot with 22 blanks as well. They go up to 400fps.
I remember those ads. They were in Outdoor Life and Sports Afield magazines and Popular Mechanics..BB/Pellet guns have sure improved since those days.Have 2 rifles and a CO2 Crossman CR357 pistol.Enjoy shooting about every day in my basement till the weather gets nice to take out my cartridge firearms.
We didn't have cool things like this when it came to air powered rifles or pistols growing up. The realism nowadays is phenomenal. Glad to see a smart user put a dab of Pellgunoil where it belongs. 😊
My oldest daughter ordered 1 for herself last year I thought it would be cheaply made and junkie like most CO2 guns but I have a real Remington 1875 revolver and side by side it's a match obviously the real one is heavier but for quality I'm impressed,She bought me 2 I just got in the mail I've been outside playing all day 🤣 50 yrs old I felt like a kid again and they are very accurate I was getting 410 fps but when I greased up the pellets I got 623 fps
Good review and good shooting. I watched your video a few weeks ago and then I bought this model. I have a Crossman Vigilante and a Benjamin pump pistol from the 1960's. The 1875 outshoots both of those, even with iron sights. I also own 2 single action .22 revolvers. I can keep my single action shooting skills up in my backyard using the bb gun, but I can't shoot as well as you.
Thanks, not sure I'm a good shot, but this gun is very accurate. I prefer shooting pellets, rather than BB's, but both seem to shoot nice and straight in this gun.
my next cowboy revolver, w coolithout a doubt. Looked at the lot, wee snubys for revolvers are cool, but big in your face SAAs always great for us revolver fans. Plus it do not cost you an arm or leg.
Thinking of getting one of these myself, around 300$ dunno if it’s a scam but for something that looks and from what I can see, feels good. I feel it’s worth it
@@Real-MemmeB Cool. The Umarex Smith and Wesson 629 Classic 5" has a simlar solid weighty feel to the grip. Doesn't feel like I am holding a toy grip. Got that one on sale. Stiff single action, but double action is smooth. Webley Mk6 & Dirty Harry M29 feel like a cheap toy grip, but I picked them for the historical and cult movie status.
Thing is it's a mix bag on the feel with the handles with replicas. Some feel really cheap light plastic like Dirty Harry M29 & Webley MK6. Then some feel really solid like this one. The fact this is fixed sights I got the best tightest grouping so far with a BB replica pistol, but it is double action.
@@Maddogairguns Do what you want my friend wirh, regards to bb's or pellets. Just remember this pistol has a rifiled barrel. Firing bb's through a rifiled barrel will ruin the rifiling inside the barrel. Don't take my word for it. Research it.
It’s is criminal how hard is to find cartilages and if lucky $25 for 6 and I am talking about Canada,,,gun itself is beautiful I must admit and fingerprints magnet but it’s collectible piece and you can always sell it…
For a second you really look like a old western cowboy reloading his pistol I love it just don't know whether we can get the here in my country would love to get one it looks real
Outstanding great video I just have one question about the sound How loud is it compared to a 22 ? I also love your HDX video Right now I'm torn between these two
On my Xmas wish list, good review, everything I need to know, thanks. 👍 (Update. Ordered mine, arrives in two days, already have a Colt SAA and a Schofield, so '"old West" replica section complete...
At 75 years old and having done a lot of replica stuff, tending towards old-school firearm replicas. maybe just tactile shit, because I couldn't hit shit anything over 20 yards now. Old men like pistols wouldn't you say?
I've been thinking of either buying this or the Umarex Colt, I like the dual ammo of the Crosman, but I really want to shoot pellets instead of BB's, and I'm on the fence for only one. Do you have any idea which one shoots pellets better? And what pellets would you say perform best in the guns?
I only have experience with the Crosman, so can't comment on which is better. But the Crosman is quite accurate, and has shot well with whatever pellet I have used.
Iv got the same gun but first a quick load I leave the cartridges in and push the bbs in with my fingers if you have big fingers for slugs a toothpick will help to put them in better the recent guns are called the sheriden cowboy i suspect they didn't have a licence to call it a Remington 1875 so crosman had to change the production for the gun
Does anyone know if the cartridges for the umarex revolvers and the crosman revolver are compatible with both platforms? I can’t seem to find a concrete answer online.
Hey MD ! You videos are great. I have a question. My 1875 tends to tarnish where my fingers touch it. I need to wipe it down every time and sometimes I have to use some metal polish on it. Have you encountered the same problem ? I have never " tarnished " anything before :-) Thank's MD
This thing shoots straight.

Greased up? What did you use ?
I was on the fence over this Remington and the Scofield #3.
Perfect! I settled for both. Remington, first!
Thank you, Mad Dog!👍🇺🇸
Cracking looking pistol. Really accurate to. Great stuff👍
Nice replica, looks awesome and you can't beat the accuracy. I may have to get one. Great video.

You know what we liked as kids, we love as adults!! I have one and i love shooting it.
right in the gob 😅😅.
Have one. Like it too. Had to order new cartridges though.
Just got one for Christmas. Nice video, thanks for the run down. 😁

One of the nicest solid feel replicas I got for sure and it's accurate with even with fixed sights.
@@PrivateCitizen84 I agree, I got one 2 months after I sent that comment.

Nice, fun gun! Thanks for the review.
this is a nice gun.
you have a beautiful back yard
Boa noite amigo Mad Dog lindo revolver Remington parabéns pelo vídeo deixando o meu apoio 217 daqui do Brasil juntos somos fortes.
Dam you are deadly with that, fixed sight guns can suck if they don't hit point of aim. I wish I knew I'd get lucky if I bought one.
How amazing would it be if you could load cap gun cartridges for more authentic sound.
How is the C02 connection? Overtime, will it crap out and spring a leak?
I have to say I own the crosman R1 and I would definitely like something like this.
Had mine a while, and love her to bits!! I shoot mine now purely as a pellet gun, hits hard on those pesky `injun cans!!
I always shoot pellets in mine, tried the BB's but prefer the pellets.

Not a pistol revolver
nice one. will have to see what Santa brings me?
Outstanding great video
I just have one question about the sound
How loud is it compared to a 22 ?

Hey! I’ll be getting my own Thursday (hopefully) and I’ll notify you in how loud it is when I test it out myself 😁
As depending on the microphone used here the pellet pistol could be louder than what we're hearing but nowhere near a 22LR

Duuuuude amazing video
you know you shot that 12 6 times so that mean your score is 72 total good shot man
i love this gun
Guy instantly muzzled himself 5 seconds into the video lol
Love your video..subscribed...
My MAKAROV BY UMAREX IS A BEAST VOR THIS ,AND THE TIPPMANN TMC CARABINE ,I THE KING
just found you today perusing the sheridan, put my first vid on here recently, ( english cowboy ) how i discovered airguns at my age ? graham.
Fun shooter!
Does anyone know if the cartridges for the umarex revolvers and the crosman revolver are compatible with both platforms? I can’t seem to find a concrete answer online.
They are not. The colt peacemakers cartridge's are sized a bit bigger. They are however compatible with the Berra Scofield's cartridges.
love your accent
It’s hilarious watching this video I got the real deal chambered in .45 Colt
This is different, its just for fun. You can break this out and plink in your backyard for pennies without pissing off your neighbours.
It's deeaa'bollo! I'm German! The English word is, of course, "pellet'"!
Great video can I get one of these in the uk are they still for sale ?
Readily available here in France, but from searching online, most UK suppliers are out of stock. Must be popular.
Ingoldmells market has them in as does a shop in Skegness. In Skegness its a shop near the start of heading to the little indoor market.
i wonder if you can put HPA for like the winter because i heard you shouldn't use CO2s in cold weather
I don’t think you could use hpa on this gun. The way the co2 goes in, would make it too difficult.
Is that Justin Johnson on the guitar
No idea, got the audio from UA-cams library.
It looks so authentic! It seems a mischievous person would be able to modify it to shoot live ammo!!
If they did they would lose their hand possibly their life as the metal wouldn't take the stress of exploding powder. You should know this.
You need the Winchester even better 😉
Gun buying is on hold for a while, unless I can sneak them in somehow.
@@Maddogairguns ah but you need one for the channel 😉
Yeah, like she will let that slide.
How far is the target?
Bay bays mate
What pellet oil do you use for the co2 capsule tips?
Think it was crosman peloil
I want it
Where do you buy it
Does the cylinder spin???
Yes.
Heyyyyy, Us Yanks load one, skip one, load four….If ya wanna be a real cowboy :-)
🇫🇷👍😘
Чем ты мазал болон со2 перет тем поставить? Похоже на клей
It might have been pellet gun oil.
Is the barrel rifled?
No, don't think it is.
Have you looked into modifying it for more power? 😈 haha
" quite bloody accurate " all depends on how far you are away from the target. Get my drift?
What tipe of oil
I just give it a quick spray with silicone oil.
If you have some money to trow in the garbage.....
Stop eating cake
No.

No, never had that problem. Had you been touching something before handling the gun?
@@Maddogairguns Nope. I guess it's my fingers. Thank's for the reply MD. You're a class act !
