Can we take a moment to appreciate that in the Banjo reveal portion, each character is playing an instrument they have been shown to canonically play in official media somewhere. That's a really nice touch.

That "Happy Together" montage at the end actually gave me chills. All the characters introduced and seeing Dragon King at the end was insane! It's incredible how far the whole Smash Remix team has come over the past few years. You all have such bright futures ahead of you and I hope you continue to evade the Nintendo Ninjas. Thanks for the awesome experience!

This is a ROM hack, no? Because if so, Nintendo can't do anything about it, just don't distribute the ROM already patched, just the IPS, then people just have to patch it themselves with a ROM they have obtained (dw guys that's super easy, just 3 steps, obtain the ROM [DEFINITELY legally, yes yes], download an ROM patcher [IPS one on pc or just a ROM patcher on mobile], patch the ROM)
Edit: oh I see this is online, well as long as you need ROMS to make it work then they could also escape legal trouble

Assuming this is the end of the major updates, that was a really, really cool way to cap it all off. The quality of this mod is astounding, it was great to see it evolve from the start back when we just had moveset clones. Thank you for everything, Smash Remix team!

This mod continues to feel like a fever dream from my youth. I'm always impressed with just how much the team manages to pack into each update. Adding the Dragon King fighter from the prototype of Smash 64 was a genius idea.

I totally agree man, considering that I've played so, SO much of Smash Bros. 64 on both the original consoles and emulator so dang much, that seeing this expansion feels like as if I'm never going to be able to get through EVERY SINGLE THING this expansion pak patch offers (considering I haven't played Smash Remix in nearly two years now since 2022 and it has grown A TON). Still though, hopefully, at some point this year I check it out and play it for a bit, and enjoy the amount of chaos, laughter, and fun you can get out of it (Believe me, Smash Remix is just as funny and hilarious/chaotic to watch as Super Smash Bros. Melee's modded version of the game).

Honestly Nintendo should bring them in for the next Smash. They always have an “obscure throwback” character. Game and watch in Melee, ROB in Brawl, Duckhunt in Wii U/3DS, Piranha Plant (?) in Ultimate, Dragon King in Smash 6.

The inclusion of Dragon King at the end was such a great twist! I genuinely appreciate how much care has gone into this project. Smash Remix is easily my favorite way to play Smash 64. 😁

It was quite a ride. But what if they surprisingly put Shantae in there and do what Nintendo could not and make her a playable fighter! They gave 64 models to those who didn't have them so I don't doubt their ability to do so someday.
@chaudspielervt3952 the more the merrier. Shantae fits perfect for smash. I'm sure another group will take over and expand this even further. Spiderman was added not too long ago by a different modder so wishful thinking here
The way I got stupidly hype at the intro of this video thinking it was Takamaru completely forgetting that there's another "-maru" that fits just as well here. What a great project y'all have produced here!
I'm almost 37 years old, Banjo was one of my favorite games as a kid on the 64. Thank you for your work. I dream of a freaking remake of the first game.
This was wonderful!!! Ebisumaru! The full instruments gang for Banjo and Kazooie! The remix of the Happy Together song remembering the SM64 tv commercial made me tear a little, and Dragon King returning to this reality in which it only really existed as a beta concept. Magnifique✨️ ❤.

Same here. I was overthrilled with joy seeing him. I would have pissed myself and die if they included Sasuke and Yae as well. I was kind of expecting that after seeing Ebisumaru.
I knew who the character was, I just couldn't recall his name off the top of my head ^^!
But I'm happy when anything from Goemon is brought up. Underrated Konami franchise.
I didn't know who he was but I didn't really mind it. To me, half of the appeal of Smash is learning about franchises you've never touched

You made the 5 year old me from 1999 very happy. This is a full circle moment for me and is everything that little boy always dreamt of. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
I was 5 years from the 90s.
It made 12 year old me happy too. I always strongly believed that one day this game would get more characters and expand because the original always left me wanting so much more. I would draw characters and come up with move sets and stages and everything in between. When they added Bowser, Mewtwo, Dedede, and Ganondorf, I was in awe. This is my dream of what I wanted Smash 64 to be. It's a dream come true. Now Banjo Kazooie is in here. Just perfect, can't believe it.

Seeing Ebisumaru and Goemon just opened a flood gate of childhood memories. Man me and my brothers played the hell out of that game growing up.
Okay so that start wasn't received well but am all for Goemon's buddy and of course we got those 2.
That little montage and use of that one song really struck home for me and that surprise at the end was unexpected yet stellar. Great work as always remix team.

All good things must come to an end. The dragon king prototype’s inclusion was a subtle way of informing us that this is the final update.
Thank you Remix team for everything you’ve done for this project. Y’all brought back a lot of childhoods and dreams for some of us old heads. I was 9 when the original Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo 64 came out and used to dream of Bowser getting in before Melee came out.
I’m now 33. Will be 34 in a few months. Thank you for the nostalgic ride with this mod.

If you guys do continue to add more characters to the roster it would be cool to see the j-bomb robot from blast corp.
