In the case of the 787, the GEnx has better reliability than the Trent 1000; so thats why is the most preferable choice.
💯
What about fuel efficiency? How are they comparing?

Best On wing is Rolls-Royce Total Care program. In old or new, such F100 or A330, the best of.
Interesting that most A330ceo operators prefer to use RR engine than GE and PW.
Give love to the Rolls Royce Engines!
0:51 Recommend you say 'less expensive' rather than 'cheaper.'
congrats Boieng
Doesn’t the IAE V2500 design have some influence from the RR-RB211 on the 757?
possibly, but probably not. iae is partly owned by pratt and whitney
And weren’t the V2500’s on the MD90’s and 717’s?
Not really.
@@jaysmith1408They were
@@jaysmith1408 The MD-90 does use the V2500, but the 717 uses Rolls Royce BR700 engines.
British Airways prefers trent 1000 because it's British-built and American Airlines prefers Genx because it's American-built
Tnx u
In a320 family someone once said CFM56 performs better on hot and high places

@@filledwithvariousknowledge2747 not directly related with engine manufacturer but the nacelle manufacturer is also considered.
What about the 767
With the 767-300ER all 3 engine choices are directly interchangeable with the 747-400 because of tandem development
@@filledwithvariousknowledge2747 but the 767-200 had different engines I believe. Instead of the PW4000 it had the JT9D
@@TheUnreadableUserThat is correct
They listen to UA-cam influencers who get loaned the engines to try out before the general public??

Yea and do you know how many they would have to put under the wings to get the 777 off the ground 😅😅😂
GE and RR
What About A330 ?
why did airbus decide to use the PW engines exclusively on the A220. And now causing so many problems
It wasn't airbus. It was bombardier, the original owner of the A220 (CS300)
@@TheUnreadableUserEmbraer did the same for the E2
@@TheUnreadableUserAlso the whole program was called the C Series
The cheapest one
I have none.
If it aint Rolls Royce I ain’t goin boy!
You won't be going many places than since RR has no current offerings for the narrow body market.
Trent 1000 😂😂😂 and the other engines from that overrated company aren't the most reliable in the market, either, but they are somewhat better than P&W
Ur parents are siblings ?
@@rafaelwilks It's not not hard to be better than PW these days with one issue after another with their latest engines.
Yep bring back the old Conway's
Lowest fuel flow+reliability=Decision
This video is incorrect. Low cost airlines are more concerned with operating costs than upfront.
Don't but RR.
It is UK made.
Therefore poor quality.
Can never escape politics.
What he ment was its easy to source parts rather then shipping across the world and import tax
How do airlines choose engines?
They buy it! 🤯
