      Vijayalaxmi Narareddi if you had not got answers yet...
      my hair is long and curly. I was facing this problem until a few weeks ago. I am not someone who believes in chemicals to take care of me and my hair. I was looking for a natural way. I watched so many curly girl vlogs. Including this one. They all are all sharing very good informations you should be able to understand what's going wrong in your case.
      let me share what I learnt. There are safe products. Oil your hair before bath. Go for silicon free sulphate free paraben free shampoo, leave in, gel. Buy a hair dryer with diffuser. That's all you need. Learn from the vlogs how to use them. Don't comb dry hair.
      Paraben and sulphate leaves your hair dry , the main cause of frizz. So avoid them. Silicon based leave in and gel are not water soluble. You would need sulphate paraben to wash them off, that in turn cause frizz. So it's a vicious cycle. Hence avoid silicon.
      I replace gel and leave in with a home made gel that I made with flax seeds. Watch videos on how to make , its very simple.
      With a lot of oil, a mild shampoo, and this gel on wet hair , scrunching and diffusing with no heat I could achieve very good results that is enough for me. My curls are silky . No frizz at all.
      I am in my late 30s. I felt glad for the fact I never applied any harsh chemicals on my hair, no heat , no straightening etc. In short I have been nice to my hair. The only thing I didn't know was the presentation part of it. It's simple. Good luck.

    How much time does it take to form these type of curls? Will it take a year or so?

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  6 років тому

      Well depends. it takes only a few weeks to a month IF your hair is NOT damaged with heat, chemical keratin smoothening. Otherwise it takes time and is called TRANSITIONING. You can find my tips on that here: thecuriousjalebi.com/2017/02/22/how-to-get-back-your-curls-after-chemical-straightening-heat-damage/

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  3 роки тому +1

      Apply cream, comb if you have very curly hair to distribute it well and then apply gel. Don't apply gel on almost dry hair- should be on damp or slightly wet. So right after cream and combing, apply gel.

      Ungliyon se dheere se jhade ko kam karo
      Fir ek badi kangi se

      Not if you are following CG Friendly routine as most serums have silicones.
      But otherwise you can but make sure then you use sulphate shampoos to remove the silicone build up. ALso, remember that you can't replace a leave in conditioner or curl cream with a serum.

    Hey i have started taking care of my curls which are mostly 2B-2C wavy curly hair but very frizzy and they do not clump. I am in the initial transition phase so do u think Denman brush will give me good definition and waves . In ur blog u have written it might not work for 2b-2c hair but still if i want to get the wavy clumped definition and not ringlets like urs ehich is not my type. So do u think i should go for it or a good leave in conditioner and a gel should be okay for now? I am really confused if i should but the Denman brush bcoz my hair has waves and curls but i just can't find a way to define them in clumps. They just turn frizzy after everything i do

    • @TheCuriousJalebi
      @TheCuriousJalebi  6 років тому +5

      Absolutely! Who doesn't? It is normal to lose 100-150 strands a day. With curly hair routines where one only combs on wash days, all the unshed hair from past days also comes out. So it just feels more. If it more excessive, you need to consult a dermatologist.

      Hi Joyce, try finger coiling technique (look on youtube) on those sections and use a diffuser detachment with your dryer.

      Joyce Vaz OR you can use a similar technique with Bobby pins! Wet the section of hair you want to coil, apply your styling cream/ gel. Take a finger or 2 (more fingers more fat curls) keep the finger/s horizontal near the scalp and start coiling the hair on your finger. Once tightly coiled clip the Bobby pin through the loop (the middle circle) let it dry. Once dried take out the Bobby pin and you'll have defined curls! I tried it and it worked! You can search this technique on UA-cam as well.

      Poosha Lok - Yes, by the results you can see in the video I totally agree combing ruins the curl pattern. Na? 🙄Lol. I find these products work for me for a certain result - if you don’t want to use so many, don’t! It’s your hair, like this is mine! 😆
