We waited until quite late to disembark (partly because we were tired and partly because we suspected there would be queues). There was a *huge* queue at guest services when we left and when we spotted a queue to disembark we chose to go back to take photos of some bits of the ship we hadn’t yet and when we came back later there wasn’t too much of a queue at all. We did our covid tests at a local centre and it was fine. Virgin provided the tests so there was no extra cost but for Royal Caribbean you have to organise your own.
Thanks for the info,we're travelling on Anthem in August can i ask you where you got your covid test done beforehand? was it just boots or somewhere like that,i haven't had any info like that yet and am obviously already thinking about it!
We went to our local DAM Health centre - you can do in person or virtual as long as it’s a supervised one. There’s information on the Royal Caribbean website 😊
Excellent. I came off her today after a week in the Fjords!
Fab! I’ve seen some amazing photos from your trip - looks like you had fabulous weather!!!
@@lifewithjodotco It really was, moreso when they had her doing a 360 between the seven sisters
@@MrsPolarBear Gorgeous! Will definitely be doing a cruise in the fjords at some point 😍
Was anthem of the seas a massive cruise ship
Yes - she’s classed as a quantum-class ship and has a maximum capacity of 4905 passengers.
@@lifewithjodotco Wonder Of The Seas is the biggest but new 1 will b bigger
Im going on anthem of the seas later this year, is it 18+ at the adults only solarium or would i be able to go there with my son 16yr
I can’t be 100% sure but I think it’s 18+ for the solarium. It wasn’t policed though so you’d probably be OK with a 16yr old
Good balanced review thank you. What was embarkation like in terms of queues etc and how did you find the testing like?

@@lifewithjodotco thanks for that, what was embarkation like at Southampton? Many queues?
@@raesy2261 No - you get given a time to embark so that helps ease the queues. Ours was very late so most people were on board by the time we got on.
