We are on Iona now and loving everything about the ship. Food and service has been wonderful. Travelling with hubby who uses a mobility scooter and he loves the ship.
My wife really struggles to relax, but I like to chill 😁 I'm tempted to book the Iona Norwegian Fjords cruise for next year, which is why I came across your vlogs. Hope you enjoyed Madeira 😎
Lots of terrific detail of your sea day and encounter with the ships activities. Really good. Stay away from the gloomy, moany, never-happy people on every cruise/holiday/vacation. You seem very much our kind of traveller. Finding joy in the simple things, and accepting that 'perfect' is an ultimately unattainable state of modern human construct that robs you of the moment if you let it. If someone is unhappy on a ship like Iona, you have to think where would they be happy 😏
Thank you! I’m doing my best to keep being my usual positive self and finding joy - if you look for it you’ll find it! (And if you look for 💩 you’ll find that so I’d rather look for joy!)
We’re scheduled to go on Iona Norwegian Fjords cruise next month as a cheap holiday before our main Disney Cruise in August. I’m not expecting much from Iona and I sympathise with you feeling out of place. Sitting around all day reading and drinking tea doesn’t really appeal. Perhaps you can vlog the food in the restaurants and I’m curious about the running track.
It is excellent value and honestly I am really impressed with the ship, the food and the staff. It’s just my fellow passengers don’t seem aligned with me (or I’m not finding the ones that are!).
And thanks for the suggestion - I’ll make sure to feature the food in future (it’s seriously good!). The running track isn’t worth a video but is very handy and very quiet on this ship (most people just walk for exercise). 7 laps are 1 mile so I did 22 laps for roughly 5k.
Hi, we are loving your vlog thanks for sharing. My teenage daughter has Coeliac Disease and can't eat gluten so she was very happy to hear that you were able to get gluten free fish and chips! Would it be possible to find out for us what food is gluten free from the poolside area. It serves chips, burgers, pizzas etc but are they gluten free? Thank you!
I haven’t spent time in the indoor pool area yet myself but I did check in with them to ask and they can do gluten free pizza there. Also gluten free ice cream cones and there’s only one ice cream flavour that isn’t gluten free (again I’ve not tried them yet).

Agree the food and service is incredible! Glad you’re having a positive experience too 😊

Thank you! Madeira was fab and nice and sunny too. I’m getting a bit more used to relaxing but my version of relaxing is still “doing” something 🙈

Totally get the whole finding relaxation thing difficult! I’m still learning!
It should be so simple right! 🙈

@@lifewithjodotco Please do tell us about the food especially the gluten free options, as
my daughter can't eat gluten.

Any Gary Barlow updates? 👀🤩
Not yet! Think we find out on 26th (show is 28th). I do hope I get a ticket!
@@lifewithjodotco Fingers crossed for you!
