- The 90’s were iconic for many reasons, the style, the music, Z Cavaricci Pants, but most importantly, the drop top 5.0 Fox Body Ford Mustang. I wanted to do something special for my daughter, Lia’s 14 birthday. So we enlisted the help of 90’s icon and 5.0 aficionado, Vanilla Ice, to bring our Carcaine Inspired Fox Body purchase up to 90’s hot-boi spec. With a full restoration from CarcaineSupply.com featuring suspension from Maximum Motorsports, Rotiform Wheels, Toyo Tires , Borla Exhaust, a Scottidi angle Kit, and detailed with @SonaxUSA car care, the Carcaine Destiny Stang is ready to party.

I'm 15 and I'm actually restoring my dad's car it a hatchback 1988 we fixed almost everything and it just needs a paint job and the rear brakes fixed cause you got pump the hell out of the to stop or you are gonna have to Fred Flintstone it 😂 and thank for showing the foxbody the love it deserves 🥰

My son (14) and I are currently putting together an '87 notchback. He loves it, and always wants to get into the garage. I'm really enjoying these times. Building cars, and more importantly memories.

I had an 1986 5.0 i bought used off my bestfrends older sister with the dreams of restoring it because I rode in it when it was brand new back when we were kids!(that point on I was a mustang lover) Matter fact she picked us up from golfland!! Miss those days forsure...... But unfortunately the sensors all went out so i had to let mechanic keep it (she didnt take very good care of it) and I was young and broke...Never was able to own a pony since.... Thanks for video it brought up alot of happy memories of back in tha day and the 5.0!!!! Love the car!!!!!✌😂👍

I’ve been subliminally trained to like notchback LXs because that’s the one everyone wants for a race car, but yeah, the hardtop later GTs are the one to look at for sure. If you can keep the top down all the time like in southern CA, the convertibles look pretty good, too.

It had nitro in it when they bought it they just bought a better one
Good thing about those 5.0s is there had roller lifters stock. So you could easily throw 50 or even 100 shot at it without worrying on a stock engine. Nitrous is not a big upgrade

Hearing vanilla ice talk about the 5.0 vs iroc stories reminds me of when I was little seeing all my neighbors with the kickass old cars in the 90s like the iroc the 5.0 the c4.. Then the other neighbor with a el Camino then in like 01 my uncle with the z28. Now the neighborhoods full of jeeps and hell cats 😒😒

She’s gonna love this car after she learns it. I have almost the exact car componentswise. Only thing I don’t have is the scotidi front end (which I’ll be looking into very soon) and I have much better power under the hood. The MM parts are where it’s at for the 86-93 mustang. My daughter is 21 now and absolutely loves the Foxbody. Every chance she can she takes mine out and goes to Hampton beach to show off. Lia will definitely learn to love this whip for sure.

I was excited when my dad let me drive his Durango in an empty parking lot (I'm 15 btw), to get a fox body with thousands of dollars of drifting upgrades, and say you don't want it, damn.
All it needs now is the motor rebuilt and upgraded, new clutch, better axle gears, and its good to go! They already took care of the cosmetics & suspension and braking!
Man, i remember when my dad taught me how to drive in our 1995 renault laguna baccarra, he taught me how to drive as a reward for good grades in 6th grade. The clutch was so hard you were never sure you pressed it in all the way, it had 110 horsepower half of which escaped, the clear coat was peeling off, i stalled the car a billion times, but it was a cherished memory. sadly we had to scrap the car exactly a month ago. I still haven't gotten over it. The car that replaced the laguna whose heater core hose leaked on you if you were disrespecting it was replaced by a staggeringly boring, diesel ford c-max. It has cruise control and GPS and bluetooth connectivity, but it doesn't have a soul.
You know some kid is gonna tear that up like a race horse, and I ain’t talking about the car.
I hope Lia has watched this build video and appreciates what everyone did for her.

Man I miss my 5.0, sold it to afford furniture when I moved out 8 years ago. Back in 2007 I only knew of 1 mustang drifter. I can’t remember his name but it was police themed. I wanted to learn to swing these things but they were too squirly stock. Great job guys!
Dude tru story . I was 17 going on 18 and ready to graduate . My dad's friend Rick had bought a 87 irocz it was a hardtop blue original rims nothing special. But the car . He left and was gone for a good two months . Now back in Minnesota it's getting close to october " snow " lol so it's November 2-3rd and fresh two or three inches of snow sunny outside . I hear some good laud music . I walk to the sidewalk and a red convertible Camaro come around the corner pushing snow 😅. It was low but not low you know ? The ground affects kit was making it look low. But pushing snow it pulled up into my yard lol . Yeah me and pops backyard was a garage lol and a junkyard lol . But it pulled up into my sidewalk and Rick got out I was oh dam what's up bro lol . He get out my dad comes out the garage and shake it up . (Respect). And get to talking about the top got redone it's a solid black brand new . The alpine one knob . Rockford fosgate 15" in the trunk blauplunk speakers inside from low to mids everything. New bucket seats . It had McLain wire wheels on double eagle treads and the whole front end underneath was brand new tierods to bushings all new . Custom exhaust glaspacks about 3-4 inches on a 1/4 inch pipe. Where talking almost a new car her tricked out . This was in 1996 . I graduated that year . It had this sick looking carburetor set up where it was two fuel Injectors like spraying into the carburetor rite . But we got done looking at it and Rick heard that was graduating In in less than six months . He took the keys out of him Pocket. He looked at the car and I seen it coming "oh my God he's about to give me this car "!!!!! I knew it get ready oh my here we go .. aye jay come here . He say " let me breath on you " lol hood shit . He say you getting good grades and you the first born son about to graduate and set a example for the rest of your brothers and sisters. I am the oldest of 13 that's ten sisters and four brothers and my mom had close to 6 miscarriages . But yeah I'm the oldest and I did my thing as big brother and I'm still doing it . but rick recognized it and knew I was atleast trying. And he started to hand me the keys . Here go my dad 🤣 🤣😃😁🤣🤣😃 he pushed the keys away from me and pushed them back to rick and said " what the f you trying to kill my son " ! And my dad told Rick I couldn't have the car !!!!!!!!! .
