If you need a good cheeky budget phone, then that phone is made for you
I bought the Y9 a month ago and I can say it's an amazing phone in terms of: 1. Speed. 2. Operating system. 3. Battery life (4000 mAh) 4. Twin app efficiency especially WhatsApp. 5. The recycle bin which allows a user to retrieve accidentally deleted photos and videos. 6. Phone's attractive blue color. 7. Ability to switch between apps. 8. Ability to switch any time between SIM card's mobile data source. The only issues I found is the time needed to fully charge the battery, and in the photos edit options you cannot 'erase' anything unwanted in a photo. Xiao-mi phones has an amazing 'erase' feature that allows you to erase unwanted objects in photos easily.
I've had this phone for almost a month, it charges really fast and the processor is really fast too. I've never noticed any issues with the plastic back I just put the case on and it's rock solid. For the money this is the best phone on the market compared to phones costing 30% more. Also note, it's going on promotion for 5600 Baht here in Thailand next month = $175 I paid 6700 Baht. My only complaint is the status icons at the top of the display are tiny and I have it set in notchless view.
@Paul T you're welcome to pay 50% or 2 times more for similar phone that may be slightly better. I found the camera quality very good for the money, there's several tweaks you can incorporate to enhance image quality if you know anything about photography, the only feature missing on this quality mid range/price phone is image stabilization on video.
HUAWEI Y9 2019 is such an amazing phone,I was using lenovo phab previously but since I tried huawei y 9 2019 as a security technician I needed a phone that can install security apps for gate automation's,CCTV remote access,alarm systems GSM apps,,access control system,printer apps and photo taking during security surveys.Having made this brief observation and its front and back camera perfection I say HUAWEI Y9 2019 is such an affordable good phone compared to other major brands in the world.
I don't really game in phone but i tried once and phone heats. I think its normal temperature but you could really feel the the temperature rises. The game was "bridge construction" so it is nothing fancy and its not that demanding. Did not slow the phone down, though. Graphics was great and good phone indeed.

Does this have a built-in equaliser to enhance the music experience? Earlier phones like lenovo k8 had Dolby Atmos which used to give excellent sound quality on headphones. Do we get any similar feature in this phone?

Just got this phone. I removed the screen recorder from the home screen by moving to top right to remove. When I went to app drawer, could not find the screen recorder. What is the name of the app and how can I reinstall it?

There's nothing wrong with a plastic back. For one thing unlike glass it won't break break when dropped. That's enough for me right there. Plus it makes the phone lighter. How can you beat that.

I would go 8X... but ONLY if you can get the Global version with Google apps pre-installed. I can’t find the Global version that easily, so in that case the Y9 makes more sense.

Hey guys anyone here having eye strain/ headache because of the screen right after the android 9 update? I am quite of a heavy user. My "eye comfort" feature is already on but it isn't helping. My on screen time is about 3 to 7 hours. Ps: the past 3 years I was LED screen user and had no problems, I used to game on PC for 5-10 hours a day for years and this is the only time I am having eye strain or headaches. Are you experiencing this too?
mistaken I prefer micro usb. My ps4 controllers use micro. My Bluetooth speaker uses micro. My ps4 headphones use micro. No need for extra cables for a phone.

I bought the Y9 a month ago and I can say it's an amazing phone in terms of:
1. Speed.
2. Operating system.

so tired of the complaints about micro usb...even type c cords sometimes make a device take 2hrs to charge even on fast mode.
