I guess it's Huawei Y9 for me on this. For an extra $20 dollar you'd get more juice for your phone. Pretty big deal for me since one of my personal motto for choosing a phone is battery life > camera quality. And it's not like the camera quality for Y9 is that far behind from 8X, on the contrary Y9 looks sharper outdoors. Special note: Love that santa shirt you're rocking. It complements the red jacket haha!

That is a very good question. I didn’t actually notice if the MP count is reduced. All I noticed is that images generally just turn out more saturated. However, I’ll check again if it actually reduces MP count :)

In terms of mid-range budget smartphones, the Honor 8X and Huawei Y9 are both great devices for its price. At the end of the day, you need to see if this fits your budget. If it does, you will not be disappointed by either of these devices :)

Apart from no support for 5ghz wifi (at least here in Malaysia), there is also no widevine level 1 support for the honor 8x. Clearly, the Y9 2019 wins the fight.

@@ivobagnara9860 Perhaps there is some kind of water resistance going on with the Y9. Huawei most likely did not mention it nor give it an official IP rating so in the case where your phone gets damaged due to water, Huawei will not be required to help you out.

There's a big misconception about Y9. Its rear camera is 13+2 and front camera is 16+2. Dont no why everyone says opposite. You can see this by checking the camera settings of y9.

These days Chinese phones have high megapixel count for their front cameras but it really feels more like a gimmick because the results are not as clear as the rear cameras that has only half the resolution.
