It's not really apostasy when they never had the truth. The term "apostasy" implies that someone had the truth and then allowed somebody to deceive them into turning against it. Traditional Christianity never had the truth. That's why it produces these men who pass themselves off as God's ministers. So this guy has been a regular at Gateway Church - Southlake (don’t worry, we are evaluating our association with Gateway - another topic entirely). Anyway, last December I believe it was, he gave some WILD prophecy during the service that he didn’t vet first with the leadership. During the service he said something like “of course I submit this to leadership….blah blah blah….”. But as I sat there and listened/watched, almost stunned and thought - “Huh? Did he really just say that without telling Morris or the leadership first?????. Who does he think he is??????” And it was something about 10,000 young people coming to the Lord through Gateway in 2024. By the way, within a few moments he said that “young” people included people up to Age 40. Well, it was all I could do to not write him off at that point…Oh and this was after making what I thought were some subtle but disparaging remarks about his wife and how she liked to come to Gateway so she can shop in the area. Excuse me? What godly or theological purpose is served by highlighting your spouse’s materialism? Needless to say, with what has been revealed about Gateway, I’m not at all surprised….they have a prime list of headliners there that all spout off much of the same garbage. But I have to thank you all for the hilarious comments about this video and the commentary…..the first part of this (completely inappropriate) and the ridiculous association of the announcing of Aaron with the Trump assassination attempt - this guy is so off - and the crazy thing is that people hang on his every word!
Sorry and if you are the only evangelical that hasn’t heard about Gateway lately, , the chances of this prophecy being fulfilled in 2024 are pretty slim…..
This is far from the worst interpretation. The worst I heard was Brandan Robertson a gay affirming pastor. Used the raising of Lazarus as a parallel for Jesus calling gay people to “come out”

Hmm-Right up there with "Jesus was God's tithe to us". Robert Morris, Gateway Church. Charismatics are amazing! Almost everyday we are witnessing new 'prophesies' and revelations, dreams and visions. And I call it productivity! There must be a contest going on of who can come up with the most ridiculous idea to draw attention. Most of these prophesies are retroactive since only now they recall what dreams they have in the past. They must have nonvolatile memory chips implanted in their brains.

Thank you! Rev 13 was the first thing that came to my mind when Trump was shot. Not that I believe it's about him but I'm glad to finally hear somebody else reference Rev 13 especially in light of the many who've referenced Leviticus. I most likely vote for Trump but I'm not naive. I've never heard him proclaim Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Saying that the life and death of Jesus changed the world is not the same thing.
Years ago I heard the camp director at a camp where I was working and doing some of the preaching use that Boaz thing. It made me sick to the stomach then and it hits me even worse now.

You assume the assassination attempt was set up by Trump to 'misguide' people? If so, why didn't he try it in 2020? Or have you misthought or miswritten? Or do you mean that *Franklin* was using it to misguide people? Just wanting to have some clarity on your reasoning. Shalom.
He and Perry Stone often came to my church in Cleveland, TN, the birthplace of the Church of God denomination, and I always felt a red flag from both of them. My church didnt explicitly endorse prosperity preachers, but they would invite those who would flirt with that false doctrine. Once Perry sold an anointing oil kit for $50 on late night tv i knew it was over. I’ll never attend North Cleveland Church of God again unless they shun these two and openly renounce prosperity preaching. Btw Boaz is not an English name, the rear end slang term does not translate the same to sound similar. Nor does the bible endorse dirty puns even if there was a similarity. James 1:26
"8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.” I can’t improve on what Michael had to say. May the LORD rebuke this false teacher.
The worst interpretation of scripture I’ve ever heard was from a few preachers that said John 3:16 meant that God didn’t love the world, and that “whosoever” didn’t mean anyone can believe, and this famous verse isn’t really the Good news gospel everybody thinks it is. Can you believe it!?
New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the questions below? Who is the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Who is the “son” that is the “heir” to the land in Matthew 21:37-43? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. God is not now a “racist”. He has extended His love to all races of people through the New Covenant fulfilled by His Son’s blood at Calvary. The Apostle Paul warned against using “genealogies” in our faith in 1 Tim. 1:4, and Titus 3:9. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. The Apostle Paul pronounced a curse on most churches today because the main Christian denominations of today preach a different gospel than what Paul preached. To quote exactly what Paul said, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8). Both apostle Paul and Peter preached the same gospel and quote from the prophet Joel (2:32) saying, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of Yahweh shall be saved." (Romans 10:13 and Acts 2:21). The English translations say “Lord” instead of “Yahweh.” But “Lord” does not translate “Yahweh” it is a substitution of a totally different word altogether. This substitution activates two additional curses because if you substitute a word you are both adding and subtracting at the same time. “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18, 19) We are commanded by Messiah that, “...repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47). In other words, we are supposed to preach the gospel that came out of Jerusalem and not preach the gospel that came out of Antioch, or Rome, or England, or New York, or Chicago, etc. By the time the gospel got to Antioch it had already been perverted as we read, “...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26). The problem with this is that Yahweh spoke of a people called by His name (Deuteronomy 28:10; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah 43:6, 7; Daniel 9:19; Amos 9:12; Acts 15:17). Yahweh did not choose the name “Christian” for Himself. The people of Antioch chose that name and all the so called main denominations of today embrace that name “Christian” for themselves. When Peter and Paul preached the gospel they quote the prophet Joel, “Whosoever shall call on the name of Yahweh shall be saved.” (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21; Rom. 10:13). The English word "Lord" is not a translation for the name Yahweh but is a substitution. I ask you, how many of the church fathers and so called main denominations of today preach that gospel? None of them. Absolutely none! “Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He comes shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.” Some people say that they are watching all the time but they overlook verse 38. “And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.” (Luke 12:37-38). Under normal circumstances people are sound asleep during the second and third watch. Therefore Luke 12 is not talking about watching in a figurative way. The LORD is talking of a literal watch. There are appointed times in the scriptures for us to fulfill a literal watch. In fact, all of the appointed times of holy convocations (moedim) listed in Leviticus 23 are watches and vigils of Yahweh. Each one of them are fulfilled by both an Old Testament and corresponding New Testament historical event. In other words they will be assembled together in a holy convocation and not out and about driving cars and flying airplanes. Like the 120 were assembled in the upper room Acts chapter 2 for the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost). Unfortunately, because of a man-made ecclesiastical calendar many will not be watching at the appointed time when He comes.

We all deserve God’s wrath, there is no one good but God. But praise God, that he came in the form of a man, that man was Jesus Christ, who was without spot or blemish, He took our place on the cross so that we could be saved. He took God’s wrath on our behalf. “For God has not destined us for wrath , but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with Him.” (1Thessalonians 5:9-10)
We need to pray for this country, and for all that are still dead in their sins, as we were. “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of the world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience”_____. Who are you to pass judgment on who goes to hell? I thought God loves all people on earth.... Wow.... There are A LOT of judgemental people here in the comments
These preachers are out of control to the point of being delusional!SMH...Theology matters.Thank you Todd for exposing this stuff!
I actually have a shirt that says “ Theology Matters” I agree with you! 🙏🏼
@trey ~ thank you, THEOLOGY matters and our younger generation has little biblical training; their flesh eats things like this up, how sad
When pastors become stand up comedians in the church....we are truly in the great apostasy as prophesied in Revelation.
Since the Prosperity Gospel is a joke, its preachers cracking off-color one-liners is appropriate.
It's not really apostasy when they never had the truth. The term "apostasy" implies that someone had the truth and then allowed somebody to deceive them into turning against it. Traditional Christianity never had the truth. That's why it produces these men who pass themselves off as God's ministers. It's the inevitable result of "Christianity" emphasizing grace and rejecting law for 1700 yrs.

@@theeternalsbeliever1779we don’t reject law. We know that the law doesn’t save us but it makes us aware of our need for Christ so we can repent. We however do strive to obey Gods moral law.
I've seen pastors that seem to spend more time finding that perfect joke to use in their sermon rather than studying the bible
I can't even think of an appropriate comment. Thanks for revealing it Todd.
None of these false preachers/teachers would even exist if people would only READ YOUR BIBLE under the power of the Holy Spirit!!!

Unfortunately I used to go to his church when I lived in Georgia, for many years. After I moved from Georgia I still watched on TV. Then I finally saw a broadcast that opened my eyes, he didn't baptize in the Jesus name. That's when I realized he was just another false prophet. I thank the Lord that my eyes were finally opened.

I’m equally shocked that the church laughed it up. 😔
Yes. Very disappointing ☹️
They were entertained!
I’m not. When people want to be entertained in church, this is what they get. I left a church a couple of years ago where the elders didn’t have the discernment to know the “pastor’s” stand up routine was inappropriate for the pulpit.
I'm not shocked. This big name, modern preachers always have their jokes laughed at, their key points applauded. It's the herd mentality at work. It's nothing new.
“I’m not trying to be mystical or strange or weird.” No Mr. Franklin, you are not attempting to, you have succeeded in being mystical, strange and weird. GOD have mercy! LORD please awaken the deaf ears, drowsy eyes and slumbering souls of those who are being led astray by this deceiver!
Yeap! Why read so much into all the incident except that God is merciful and protected Trump’s life? Trying to show how smart and spiritual you are?

Just when you think you have heard it all then this prosperity preacher comes along. Come quickly LORD JESUS, even so come.
I’m pretty sure it was Justin Peters who said that prosperity / word of faith preachers aren’t feeding the sheep; they’re entertaining the goats. I thought of that when I saw this. I can’t believe how horrible Franklin’s teaching is! Wow.
There is no such thing as Prosperity of Word of Faith gospel. The gospel was, is and will always be ONE - The Gosepel of The Kingdom of God or The Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am the chief of all sinners but this is disgusting and all the parishioners laghing at that interpretation is just as disgusting.

Thanks for identifying that fake teacher. I didn’t know who it was. That’s awfully inappropriate for church!!
I don't care if people cuss or do something like this in a Ted Talk. But, there is a line. You don't do this kind of disrespectful thing at church.
Used the raising of Lazarus as a parallel for Jesus calling gay people to “come out”
This is absolutely ridiculous ! God raises up kings and He brings them down according to His will and this doesn't mean that they are righteous and in right standing with Him.
THANK YOU. My eyes are rolling out of my head. This idolatry is getting so absurd it's awkward to even talk about.

I didn't realize that Trump had been healed of leprosy. Lev. 14:14 says that the same type of process was used on lepers that had been cleansed, but different sacrifices were used.
Certain words aren’t necessarily a sin unless they take Gods name in vain, but it does not belong in church. Period. Also this dude in the clip makes zero sense.
Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful
In the first minute was clenching my teeth. Not for a moment did I think he was being funny.
The fact that so called Christians thought it was worth clapping for disgusts me.
I understand everyone struggles with sin but that nobody got up and left and the sermon was clearly rehearsed leads me to believe that building isn’t a church; it’s a goat farm
I once heard a preacher say that David picked 5 stones because each stones represented each letter in "Jesus". I was a kid but I could smell rubbish. Adulys were shouting amens. And he wasn't preaching in English by the way, but he used "Jesus" in English.
Dude's mic is so compressed it sounds like an electrolarynx.
Hmm-Right up there with "Jesus was God's tithe to us". Robert Morris, Gateway Church. Like so many big church pastors running a business today he tried to connect EVERYTHING in his sermons to giving money. We stopped attending 5 years ago when it became clear that although he had some good interpretations and instruction, dunderheaded statements like this are extremely dangerous, particularly when the congregation agrees and applauds.
So many are making this reference on social media about Donald Trump!
I like Donald Trump, but this is scary coming from my people! We NEED to be cautious about ordaining Trump with some divine rite (or anyone else for that matter).
What has happened to the pulpits in this nation?
I think the first was funny, but a but inappropriate from the pulpit.
Just goes to show you that all preachers need to be double checked with the Word so that we are not lead astray.
This is not the manner and conduct of a pastor. Church discipline shuold be used in the case of the boaz sermon.
Sadly, Boaz, whose wisdom and discernment laid the prophetic foundation for an alignment of actions that depicts Jesus as our “Kinsman Redeemer” and who in his display of character and virtue brought a generation into Blessing that was under the curse of Moab; making Ruth not only the grandmother to King David but filling the unique role of being one of four Gentile mothers in Jesus’ genealogy. Not someone to make a joke about or to use as a pun in an ungodly “comedy” routine.

Rev 13 was the first thing that came to my mind when Trump was shot. Not that I believe it's about him but I'm glad to finally hear somebody else reference Rev 13 especially in light of the many who've referenced Leviticus. He's not a prosperity preacher, he seeks God diligently, not every preacher gets everything exactly right. He's a man of God. He who is with out sin cast the first stone.
A preacher who doesn’t know what he’s talking about and misrepresents the Bible. Who mocks the Bible with crass language. We are most definitely able to hold pastors accountable.

James 1:26
Both are Zionists I believe
Cleveland TN is the headquarters or birthplace of many denominations

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
(John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18.

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” (Revelation 22:18, 19)
We are commanded by Messiah that, “...repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47).
“Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when He comes shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.”
Some people say that they are watching all the time but they overlook verse 38.
Well maybe if Trump is being anointed, there shouldn’t have been a Sikh benediction to a false god at the RNC
