Evan same!!!
So me
I’m you
Let’s give some recognition to these unsung heroes who do this type of work for a living.
Awesome work!!!
Yes I'm with U .great people's think alike.
WaqArain once this Trump gets dumped America will definitely be great and you will start rolling some balls or or somebody’s balls 👍🏼
WaqArain and withput these great people you wouldnt be able to play baseball.
@@dfelixrx7 its 2020 and Biden won so let's hope
@@Jokstaify haha some people are just ignorant and dumb.. this balls are made in turrialba Costa Rica...
That's actually substantially more work than I had ever imagined
I was amazed to learn that in the end, there is still a human hand stitching these closed!
Yea same here. I'd thought by now they'd have a machine doing it.
His nail dude, so friggin long!
No kidding! I searched for this because I was wondering how a machine managed to do it. I never imagined every ball was hand sewn. Sewer in a baseball factory seems like a very tedious job.
Fun fact: If you go too Endia 🇮🇳 you'll see lots of dirty disgusting stinky slums

Can we talk about how impressive it is of all those workers who work the balls stitching
I feel somewhat ok now about paying a lot for baseballs after watching this video and all the work that goes into making them.
Doesn't look like the workers get much of that money
Think it's based on per ball. The more balls they do the more money they make which is barbaric by today's standards if it's still true.
Same! I always wondered why each ball costs a few bucks. Definitely am going to appreciate them more from now on!
Have a hard time believing they're worth 18 bucks each, and that's the cheapest I've seen. I think its more that you can brag, "hey, I'm using a real major league ball." Ego has a price.
@@tmilesffl do the workers buy the material and the machinery?

It’s crazy to think that a professional baseball, that barely hits the dirt, is retired so the pitcher can have a new baseball every time
What happens to the old balls?
@@s.h.723 Teams usually hang onto to them for batting practice. They donate some to local little league teams.
@@s.h.723 throw them to fans
They don't replace the ball every pitch, but on average, they go through "7 to 10 dozen" per game. So that's maybe 2.5 to 3.5 pitches for each ball. Some balls get hit into the stands and go home with fans as souvenirs. The remaining balls go to minor-league clubs, batting practice, etc.
I thought they would remove the dirt and use them again
Bless the people who make baseballs they’re the reason I can play this beautiful game 😁

I used to think $5 dollars for a quality ball was a lot. Not now. These workers deserve appreciation.
You think the money goes to the workers ?
I’m with you on that. I believe every job deserves appreciation. Whether in a factory, a construction site, or in a store, every worker in this world deserves to be appreciated for what they do
@@SalafiJustice Obviously some of it does.
Wow... Amazing how much craftsmanship it takes to build it... A big Thanks to All those employees working hard so we can enjoy The Most Artistic game of Baseball... i Love Baseball...
The smell of a new baseball from a stadium is unmatched.
Would have never thought these were hand stitched. Wow! That’s awesome.
I remember once taking apart a baseball as a kid and being amazed, it was like journey to the center of the earth
Still stitched by hand, amazing. Very labor intensive.
Most of the manufacring process is mechanized.
@@GH-oi2jf Clearly, but that stitching looks pretty tedious. I guess after you've perfected your craft, it's relatively easy.
Fascinating. The stitching precise. I like the whole baseball thing. ⚾️ Great game.

It is beckause it was not a pro ball
You sure it wasn’t cork and not wood
Cork Is wood.
You are a douche
Wow, allota work goes into them. More then what I thought, especially the hand stitching. Kudos!!
I thought regulation MLB baseballs were expensive before seeing this, and I “balked” at buying them. Now I realize that they’re actually inexpensive considering the work that goes into them.
Love baseball. And to see how something is made, that I see and touch everyday makes me happy.
Woooowww... que marabilla ..algo inigualable la echura de una pelota de Base Ball... y lo mas extraordinario... cosida a mano.. todo un arte...

Imagine being a baseball that has to go through this process, shipped, pine tared, make it into the game, just to be used for one pitch that slightly grazes the ground and thrown away never to be seen again.
U ain't lying. 💯
They use them for BP
They give them away to fans too
That isn't the only purpose; they think about their fans as well,, plus fans will keep in a especial place or sell it for bucks on eBay and such

@@yell0wberry Lol Peter Luger servers easily make 6 figures a year. iHop while being an entry level restaurant, server average about 600-700 a week in tips on 5 day shift (average $130 a night in just tips) On a 6 hour dinner shift, that's $21.6 an hour, just on tips.

Although I am not a baseball fan, I found this extremely fascinating.
Wonder where they make them? 🤔 1000% sure ain't in the US...!
Costa Rica, major league and China Minor League.
So cork is illegal for the bats but not the balls
That was cool to see
Interesting procedure specially the manual stitching..👍

be more carefull with my baseballs seeing how long it takes to make them and how painfull your hands get

hand stiched?!?! No wonder they cost so much!
Brakernight right?? That’s what I was thinking
just imagine the price if it was made in 'Merica.
Well they only pay the folks about $1.60/hr in Costa Rica. All are made there.
El De La Chevy they are 6 bucks a ball. Cheaper to get them in a pack of 50
To have that image and idea when the very first baseball was made is just nuts
I did not know that. I am very impressed!

Now go over how they make them live or dead so the mlb can switch it before the postseason starts

they also did not tell us how the shell was made and the ink for the stamps were made or how the rubber for the pill
was made
Cool and Interesting!
Amazing~⚾
*I think this is only the process for MLB PRO used baseballs, ALL OTHERS ARENT AS DETAILED & not handmade like this. Im guessing that these cost more like $15-20 each unlike your regular $6ball*
Right. Rawlings' Official League and other balls have less than 108 stitches.
Can you show how Lonzo Ball got made?..... On second thought.
The sewing portion is an art.
It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen
*You’d think they could automate the process of aligning the ball correctly before it is stamped better than having some dude stick his hands inside a multi ton printing press...*
WTF⁉️
The whole process struck me as surprisingly low tech.
